I had an anxiety dream last night that the baby was measuring 33 weeks at 40 weeks!

Then I woke up thinking I could hear DS knocking on his door (which is what he does when he wants to get up) - only it was 1 am, and he doesn't usually wake up in the night. In fact, the earth was moving for me, darlings. How about for you?

Yay, so I'm not the only one who noticed the earthquake! I've barely slept for two days (hip pain mostly, also baby kicking and indigestion) so I turned in at eightish, and I reckon I was just dropping off five hours later when the wardrobe rattled and the bed jolted half a dozen times. Damned seismic activity...
Cannot join in the birth story fest as this is my PFB, but my plan (ha!) is to go to the QCCH birth centre ideally for a water birth, but with the option to nip upstairs to the delivery suite if epidurals or sections start to seem like a more attractive prospect.

Mayeb we'll find out next Wednesday if it's a pink sign Josey!!!

PS PregnantPenguin - I got my MATB1 at my 21 week appointment, and it has my expected dating scan due date - so maybe someone just inverted the numbers on yours? Better get it fixed in case it screws up your leave (unless the later date puts you in an advantageous position of course!)

Just taken ds2 to opticians and confirmed he needs glasses which I'm a bit about. I know it's pure vanity, but he has got such a beautiful beautiful angelic face with the langest eye lashes ever Now all anyone will see when they see him is a pair of glasses. I am already bracing myself for all the seemingly compulsory stupid 'oh he looks like Harry Potter!' comments.

Ernest , I don't believe you, I need photographic proof that you have a bump the same size as me. You don't have to include your head if you need anonymity - just the bump will do!!

When you're "sectioned" does that mean the men in white coats come to take you away?

greenfairy, i read a thing (can't remember what) that said the only time to worry about the floor strength in a flat is if you live on the 3rd or 4th floor of a victorian conversion. which we do! otherwise they said it's like having 15-20 people over for a party, would you worry that the floor would cave in??

deb your bump looks great. i feel better now because i think we're similar and when i posted my pic on facebook all my friends and family came on and said, omg you're huge! i was like, gee thanks. especially considering i've gained less than half as much weight as i had with ds by this point!!

makecakes that was my birth plan with ds and it worked quite well. i only wished i would have held out for epidural a bit longer as got it as soon as i could and it slowed my contractions right down and then had to get a drip. still, it all went well and other than some nasty tearing i have all good memories (except of the grotty hospital after, but that's another story!!).

Just realised that having the MATB1 date a little late is actually quite advantageous to me (means that the 8 weeks of relevant earnings will be higher than they would be otherwise). So may just keep quiet on that one....shhhh!

Dame&Deb - I am drinking your usual tea quota, without sugar, which is most unlike the pre pregnancy coffee addict I used to be!

UpsideDown - That was my fear re: Kingston, but they can only say no I suppose....bless DH, his exact words were 'you'll only be at the hospital for a couple of hours anyway, so does it matter?'. Fingers crossed he's right! Sorry you did ask about trains, I don't get the overground in the morning, but occassionally do so in the evening (Fridays normally) so if you see a short (5'2'') grumpy 30 year old brunette with a London Underground 'Baby on Board' badge, come over and introduce yourself!

I had my last scan today and my cervix has grown to 4.6mm, only tow weeks ag it was 3.1 . An unusal thing to happen but certainly positive which is why I don't need anymore. I also feel relaxed now and feel that I will carry to term and all will be okay. Saw baby and she looked very cute although I feel a bit confused as the sonographer asked if I knew what I was having and when I said girl she looked a bit puzzled but by that point baby put her hands between her legs. I still think it's a girl as I have bought too many girl clothes for her to be a boy!

Puddock - Queen Charlottes BC fabulous, had my DS there and it was lovely, just like going private but free but they turned me away this time as full up. Am down for UCH but BC there just does not compare so I am going for home birth (fingers crossed)..due 16 June.

i'm so disgusted with myself. stopped at tesco metro on way home from dr (feeling nauseous from virus that i can't shake and generally run down) and discovered they have a krispy kreme stand. dh was at home to watch ds so i could go to dr so i got 4 doughnuts thinking we'd each have one and ds could have say half and we'd have whatever was left after dinner.

well dh had one and i had the other 3 - all before ds woke up from his nap!! i have no self control.

I've ordered some belgian waffles for breakfast on mothers day morning but I am having severe doubts that they will last till then. I fear I will end up replacing them on Friday.

dm - please don't be sad. I'd def. have eaten all 4 too . Bought a swiss roll and the boys a choc bunny each (so of course got myself one) sensibly told the boys they could only eat its' head (it's a big bunny), then promptly ate more than half of my bunny and more than half of the swiss roll double . feel sick now. yuk.

I am drinking 1 can of alcolhol free lager a night too. I know it's not as bad a drinking a real can of lager. It's not even that I want to drink alcohol. I'm sure it's full of crap. SOmeone tell me I should stop!

I like a weak shandy made with a bit of something like stella sure it's ot doing any harm. Iseem to get more laid back the more I have, good job I'm stopping at 4

Oh and all up front is boy bump I thought, testing that theory as this is the first not up front bump I've had and I have 3 boys so come June we'll see if bump shape means anything.

I was all up front last time and had a boy. I have had friends who have spread sideways and had girls. But I have one friend who was all out both times and has one of each. So Deb - I think you'll have to keep guessing!!!
