Okay one seperate thread as promised!!

All welcome.

The Spa is in Sunny Sheffield, a short tram/bus ride from the Train and Bus stations.

i'm thinking of a a massage too, will just need to convince myself that iw ill relax but then the last time i had a massage was pre DD so all my fear of being naked in front of strangers has gone!!

I'd like to have the new life pg massage too. Deffo, and then if anyone else is having other treatments I'll have a pedicure, but if not then Katz said we can sit and have drinks I think...

It would be nice if we can meet and have a natter. I'm guessing that there wont be much nattering while we are having a massage.

I think I'll be up for the massage too. I just need to broach the subject with DH - I think he might think it's a bit odd that I'm meeting up with some people I've been talking to on the internet! How have you all handled this?

When I went to London, dp took me to the station, made me promise to actually call Pink before describing myself(!),then I rang him when I met Pink, then I was supposed to ring him when we met at the retsuarant, but by that point he'd calmed down!!

At the end of the day, he didn't want to come with me, and I was definietly going so just had to come up with a plan to make him feel ok.

Besides, we are a group of pg women going to a spa!! It's not exactly "dangerous!!"

Mrs Wed/Scraggy, I have talked to my DH about this as he is also a worrier and I had both your thoughts as well. I think i'm taking the view that if we meet in a public place (like the cafe attached) then it will become quickly apparent if one of us isn't a hormonal, fairly pregnant female.
I think he also understands that there is generally a really supportive feeling amongst the group and everyone tries to answer any worries that someone else has got.
I was a bit worried about it being a bit awkward, but then I remembered that a, most pregnant people can discuss it for hours b, i am a born natterer.
If it makes your DH/DP's feel better I dont mind CAT'ing my mobile number to you both. Just as long as neither of you are axe-wielding maniacs with grudges against all females

Thank you, you've made me feel much better! I'll probably have a chat with him tonight - in fact I'll show him this thread and your messages just to reassure him. I'll also suggest that him and DS come to Sheffield and go off and do something together whilst I'm being massaged.

TAlking about DP's I was also thinking about suggesting Dh to come along with DD, so we could make a whole day out.
I was wondering if Katz or anyone else can suggest something for him and DD to do while I am chatting away with the ladies...

The only thing I could think of in the area is Magma (not sure of the spelling). It's near Sheffield. It's supposed to be great for kids but I think ours might be a bit young for it yet (although the big kids i.e. the DHs would love it because it's got diggers and things like that!).

okay
so let me get this right:

Me - massage
Scraggy - Massage
JohanB - massage
Mrs W - Massage
Lua - ?poss a massage

She said she had enough staff to do three at a time so that works okay whilst three are being done then the other two can chat and drink tea/juice ect and then we'll swop and then when everyone beens done we can either stay and natter there or go and get a bite to eat.

Things for the DH's hmmmmmmm go to the footie? Magna is a bit dull but the DH's might enjoy it theres a website. willl ask my DH to suggest something

Well, I need to try a massage sometime in my life time, but I amthinking that if we have two massage sessions, that would be avery long time in the spa... What do you guys think?
My concern is that if I include travel time, plus 2.5hours in the spa there might not be much time for anything else.
It would be nice to have some time for a coffee or something with whole group chatting, don'tyou think?

Scarggyaggy, I got your CAT thank you, will get back to you tomorrow. My DH has gone to bed because he's feeling poorly so I'm going to tackle the subject with him tomorrow night.

Lua - I don't mind not having a massage if you'd like to have one instead of me. I'll just sit in the cafe and eat cake!

I think we should do the "rota" system as originally planned. If 3 go in, the other 2 can chat and then when the other 2 are in then the other 3 can chat, then we can all have a chat for half an hour afterwards.

To be honest, when we met in London, the group was so large that I only really spoke to 3 other people properly, so doing a "rota" might help let everyone speak to everyone else.

What does everyone else think?

to be able to use the relaxation room at the spa you have to have a treatment. or use the spa bit but as we're PG we can't use the spa bit. The drinks are included in the price so you can have as many teas or juices as you like. We did this a little while ago as a sheffield meet and being the inly PG person i went off for a manicure whilst they played in the spa then we meet back for a chat afterwards.

Can we make a decision so i can book it if thats what we're doing. I can recommend the manicure!

not sure about cake but they did put little biscuits i think on the side of the hot drinks!! its not a cafe in the spa is the relaxation room where you can go in between treatments to chill out and drink fluid, but very comfy chairs and mags arouns

what to do next...

well i was going to ring this pm and make the booking then everyone else then needs to ring to confirm there place with their credit card was going to say by friday but need to check with the spa if this is still okay. I think i have all of your real names to put on the booking if not i will put it in my name!!

Katz, you said we cant use the spa bit. What does a spa consist of? Is that like a steam room and sauna? I'm trying to work out if I need to bring swimwear for any reason
