It’s very comforting reading through the messages from others at a similar stage, as this is my first pregnancy, and although very much wanted, I feel totally unprepared as it happened very quickly.
I had a positive test yesterday morning, on a FRER & a clear blue 2-3 week. I was due on the day before and when AF didn’t arrive, and I had stabbing pains on my lower right side, I knew I needed to test. Due to the stabbing pains I spoke to the GP who referred me to the local midwife line straight away and was sent to A&E, they suspect it may be an ectopic, (I also have shoulder pain) however they also found that I have a UTI, so I’m hoping the UTI explains my pains.
Back tomorrow for more bloods to see if my HPG is rising, and a very early scan/more bloods on Friday (I’ll only be 4 weeks 5 days), but they are a little concerned with the locations of my pains.
My HPG was 409 yesterday at 4 weeks 1 day but they said it means nothing without another test 48 hours later to monitor the rate it is rising.
We’ve got our fingers crossed this is meant to be, but this is already proving to be a very very long week of waiting!
