FarmBaby3 · 01/01/2023 20:09

We got our positive today. Looks like my due date would be 8th September going off period date but 14th September going off ovulation.

Anyone else get BFP for September baby?

Yes, I didn’t realise early scans were even a thing until this thread.
its exciting, but I’m going to hold out.

gah, nausea is kicking my butt today (6w)

BeichiogrwyddEnfys · 29/01/2023 22:39

I’m holding off, but I think I’ll get one at 10, through the reassurance clinic at my hospital.

My official scan date for the dating scan is 1st March, I’ll be 13 weeks by then and it feels an age away.

Massively anxious after my loss last year but everything was fine during the scans then. Just trying to tell myself that, and hopeful that time will bring the reassurance instead 😬 xx

Squidger45 · 30/01/2023 05:41

I've changed my name, but I've been on this board from the start - sorry for the confusion. I was LAL33.

I'm having a scan at 8+4 (by my calcs) because I'm a catastrophiser and won't believe anything is OK until I have had. My booking appointment is not until nearly 9 weeks, and I've not got a date for 12 week scan yet- I assume I'll get it at the BA..

I am still doing the odd test at 5 +5 (!!) as I didn't quite believe it would stick.

Just got my first 3+ on CB though, with 2-3 on the 5 week mark last Wednesday so I think I should probably stop POAS now !

Squidger45 · 30/01/2023 05:56

Can we do a little symptom check in?

At 5+5:

• breathlessness
• exhaustion
• slow bowels (always struggled with this anyway with other health cond's but it's worse now!)
• mood swings (cried at the TV the other night. It was not a sad scene.)
• headaches
• unreasonable about of peeing

I'm hoping the breathlessness is normal - I've not seen it mentioned yet.

I'm hoping everyone is doing well and keeping calm and happy.

Gymbelle · 30/01/2023 07:24

@Squidger45 I am feeling the breathlessness!
I think it's because of an elevated heart rate. I'm usually about 44 bpm resting but now about 60 so I think it's linked to that!

KTC29 · 30/01/2023 08:58

@Squidger45 I have also felt the breathlessness, in addition to your list at 7 weeks I am finding:

  • Nausea, some days worse than others. All day not just morning. Worse in a car or if i let myself get hungry
  • Food aversions, things i loved 3 weeks ago, even the word of them now make me wretch
  • sensitive to smells
  • Cravings for certain foods (non of which apart from crunchy apples are healthy!)
  • A stuffy nose in the morning
  • Stomach cramps occasionally - think could be linked to digestive issues since pregnancy
  • Bloating or the start of a bump. Does anyone elses jeans feel tight already??
  • Anxiety and over thinking (this is nothing new :))

Hope everyone is doing well, so glad I found this group for some comfort. It can feel quite lonely otherwise, will be glad when I tell people

xx

HattieRosa · 30/01/2023 08:59

@Squidger45

My symptoms have been similar:
-constant nausea
-constant hunger
-very slow bowels
-bloat
-dry heaving at everything
-unreasonable amount of peeing (its seriously keeping me up at night)
-insomnia
-vivid dreams
-sore boobs
-headaches
-tiredness
-terrible achiness in my hips and down my legs
-breathlessness (but that might just be because I'm a bit unfit lol)

Feeling great 👍🤢😒

Squidger45 · 30/01/2023 09:52

I've avoided the nausea yet thank goodness but there's plenty of time...

I forgot boobs. I have a small chest but I'm strapping them down with a sleep bra and a sports bra as the slightest movement is uncomfortable.

I'm clumsy as hell also. I've just taken a second chunk out of my thumb whilst chopping ham for a soup... both incidents have been pretty bad cuts, I've soaked through 3 dressings in 10 minutes and have only just managed to stop the bleeding.

I'll spare you the pictures. But I'm 33 ffs and have been feeding myself for the last 20 years, and never been so clumsy with the Global knives as I have this week.

MaryLola · 30/01/2023 12:59

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well.

I received my booking apt and scan apt (all in one) letter last week for 8th March which is forever away. I'll be 12+4. I'm undecided whether to go for a private scan or not.

Nausea is hitting me hard the last few days. Insomnia too. I've got like brain fog too, finding it hard to focus on work.

Just a suggestion, I'm part of a private fb group for my first that was made of the back a mumsnet thread. It's alot easier for answering questions, sharing pictures etc which there will be lots of as time goes on. I'm not 100% sure how to set one up so that it's completely private, wondering if anyones done something similar?

There has been one set up in the End August/September group. I'll try to get a link.

Scan was all ok! Measuring at 8w6d rather than 9w3d. So far so good!

Tinkerbell098 · 30/01/2023 13:36

@froglou amazing! must be a big relief!

KTC29 · 30/01/2023 13:37

@froglou Ah so pleased for you, glad they scanned you too. Hopefully some peace of mind :) xx

Hello guys I have a question!

At my reassurance scan they found that I had two sacs one with a live baby and the other a twin that never was! Do you know if I will reabsorb this or if it will cause any bleeding?
I have rang my midwife Friday and today to no response on my messages!

I had the same thing last week. My understanding is that it will likely be reabsorbed, apparently its called invisible/disappearing twin syndrome.

We probably would never have known had we not gone for the early scan. The lady who carried out the scan just said to inform midwife when they take bloods in case it affects readings.

Sorry to talk about sickness, but does anyone have any super tips for the constant nausea? Any tips would be so so welcome, I am struggling big time with it today. Do not want to moan as I know how incredibly lucky I am but I have emetophobia (fear of being sick/sick in general!) So anything I can do, I will try! xx

Workinprogress90 · 30/01/2023 16:21

@KTC29 i have the same and today I made the mistake of not eating until 10am and I have progressed from nausea to sickness and have felt awful all day. My top tip is do not leave it until 10am to eat 🙁 now can’t keep anything down. Hoping it somehow resets tomorrow and this isn’t a new cycle I’ve got myself in. I was finding eating little and often would keep the nausea as just that, mainly beige foods and having a few rich tea biscuits by the side of my bed in case I started feeling nauseous in the night too.

on that - if anyone has any tips for being able to eat who’s been being sick that would be greatly appreciated!

lalalalalala123 · 30/01/2023 16:32

Yay @froglou what a relief!

Has anyone heard of the sneakpeek gender test? £89.99 and can be done from 6 wks and 99% accurate apparently. I'm soooo tempted!!!

BebeSurprise · 30/01/2023 16:42

Hi all,

Short time lurker, first time poster!

Looks like I'm joining the due Sept club (rather unexpectedly!). First pregnancy, wasn't planned and I have no friends with babies so I have no idea what happens now. Eek.

According to the interwebs I'm around 6+5. I've self referred myself to the local maternity services and I've been given an appointment for Feb 16th :)

It is such a wait isn't it? I'm struggling with it. Only hubby and my boss know. I'd also like to be part of a fb group too. I was part of one for my first and it is still sich a great community. We had a baby and pregnancy unrelated name for the group. No idea how to go about it. Wonder if we could have September due dates specific one? i feel very far away from those August due dates as most likely I will end up in October. I'm 6 weeks and not feeling very pregnant. Not very many symptoms. Can't remember when they really kicked off last time. I do remember when they did I had very bad food aversions.

Workinprogress90 · 30/01/2023 18:37

@froglou excellent news, congrats!

My friend suggested having a digestive biscuit before getting out of bed so I've been doing that.

@BriannaLou I'd also be up for a Facebook page - I find it hard to navigate on here and I miss things!

HattieRosa · 30/01/2023 20:08

I'd be happy to start a Facebook page if people would like me too?

Let me know if you would and maybe think of a nice name for it? Would be just due in Sept 23.
