It's been a bumpy road so DP and I aren't telling anyone until late September. But I need to talk to someone!!!

Anyone felt any movement yet? I’m 17 plus 2 and defo have noticed a few tiny movements on the last few days 😍. Baby no.2 so easier to notice but with my son I didn’t feel anything until 20 weeks. @Eanrcs88 I’m not sure re the Facebook post but I know there was another April babies thread that posted a fb link x

Hi all, can I join please? I've been watching this thread since my BFP but I've had three rc mc this year so was holding my breath joining. I'm 15 weeks today and I'm having a little boy! Second baby for me 😁

@FinnsMammy I feel like I've felt a couple of flutters the last couple of days but I'm still incredibly gassy. Pretty sure it's movement but hoping it gets clearer over the next couple of weeks!

@cupcakesandglitter congrats I’m exactly the same I was feeling bits here and there the last week or so but they are definitely becoming more frequent now so I’m pretty sure it’s the baby! With my son I just got a kick at 20 weeks so I knew instantly but these are so tiny it’s hard to know yet. Congrats on a little boy. I can’t wait to find out the gender at my 20 week scan. Seems like a lifetime away yet.

@FinnsMammy and everyone I'm 15 weeks with DC1. What does a baby kick feel like?

I have my "16 weeks" appointment in 2 weeks where I'm hoping MW will use a Doppler so I can hear baby but in the interim would love to know the difference feeling wise between round ligament pain and a kick 😳.

DH says I need to get use to being a little anxious and doesn't want me to book a private scan to tide me over until my 20 weeks scan in December so I'm trying to understand my body.

@FinnsMammy ah how lovely!! I love feeling movements (until they start going into my ribs 😂) hoping this is it again! When's your scan?

@wannabeamummysobad almost like tiny flutters, they're hard to explain but definitely not painful at this stage!! Very different to round ligament pain, it's almost like something is crawling around inside you... quite weird 😂 I know every trust is different, but mine aren't doing Doppler until 24w. My MW said it's because it's not always easy when they're still quite small so they'd rather not induce that anxiety, and if they couldn't find one they couldn't send you for a scan because hospitals have advised not to do one that early apparently... I don't know how I'll make it through nov, just hoping movements become frequent enough that I don't go for another private scan!

I feel so silly for asking. What's the doppler for? Is it the heartbeat?
I heard my baby's heartbeat at 13 weeks and 16 weeks. Is that the same thing?

@J09x a Doppler is a hand held monitor that allows you hear baby's heartbeat. You will have heard baby's heartbeat during your 1st trimester scan with a sonographer but the Doppler allows you hear it with your MW.

Some trusts allow midwifes use them at 16 weeks but some don't. It's pot luck really

@wannabeamummysobad it’s different for everyone but you will know when you feel it definitely not sore at all. For me it feels like little bubbles popping or sometimes like tracing a finger very slightly across the inside if your belly very hard to feel them this early I usually have to lying quietly to feel it! Just shows how different trusts are - I didn't hear the heartbeat with nhs scans at all!

Ahh its great to hear all the positive vibes.
I am just painstakingly trying to distract myself every day until next scan on the 24th, 14w3d now so that will be 17w3d.
Just hoping to see major bump growth over next 3 weeks as its twins.
If that is happening I will be happy.
I can't tell any movement yet.... not sure I would know it if I did get it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Girls I just got my text to say I have the second covid vaccine this Saturday... I’m freaking out a bit now as I’ve heard it can be awful. Has anyone here had the 2nd dose while pregnant?

Yeah I had it when I was around 8 weeks. I was suffering morning sickness too when I had it and it knocked me out pretty much for a full 24hrs.

So much better than the worry of getting COVID though, especially atm @FinnsMammy

I am going for mine now in the next hour. Very nervous for all sorts of reasons but seems to be what everyone says to do.
I want to protect the babies but no idea what is right really.
My antenatal department booked me in so really I have to follow their advice.

@Ladder789 we are doing the right thing ! 90% of babies that mothers got vaccinated during pregnancy were born with the covid antibodies that’s all we need to know we are doing it for our babies. Best of luck. Mine is Saturday! Xx

It was 2 and a half days ago now and no side effects at all. 🙏🏻👌
Had a really stressful couple of days though for other reasons and now I am worried that could affect the babs.
I am really sitting it now waiting on next scan at this stage.
I have not lost weight but have not put on a pound either so super anxious.
I am 15w2d.
Next scan is 17w5d so it will be the big announcement one.

@Ladder789 same here had my second dose on Saturday and I felt fine not sure why I was so worried lol! How are you feeling now after your stressful few days? I’m sure the weight gain is fine lots of people gain nothing in the first half then it all ramps up in the second half xx

Feeling ok. I am just trying not to worry as much as I can. Bump is a good size I think so that gives me joy.

God I can't wait until they arrive.... 😁 I will be gone mad by then!!

18 weeks today here. Feeling nervous now about the anatomy scan in a couple of weeks.

How is everyone else doing?

@Staryflight445 I'm a bit behind you, will be 17wks on Monday! Had my 16wk midwife appointment a few days ago. All fine and dandy and looking forward to the scan in a few weeks. Feeling shattered a d have been getting over my first cold in 2 years! A bit run down I think after a stressful house move earlier this month and full on projects at work. I am very lucky though. I get to work from home most days and choose my hours so can't complain too much!

Has anyone got any recommendations for online pregnancy yoga? I was going to give this a go tomorrow maybe as I feel like I'm not preparing properly. I also need to get out for walks more, but life seems to just take over in other ways!

So 3 days ago I felt bubba kick for the first time ever!! I was laying on my back before bed with my hand just below the belly button and got a kick! felt movement all day yesterday and husband felt bubba kick too last night. Surreal feeling.
Just under 2 weeks until my 20wk scan, cannot buddy wait!
