It is a big commitment, and you do need fantastic support but it can be done, and it is soooo fulfilling. It is a privalage and a joy to be a part of such a special time in someones life, and make a positive difference.

If you want to do it, go for it, I trained with Nurturing birth, have you looked them up. I know there are some Doulas in Wales on there.

Hi, i have set up a thread in anti natal about being a doula and the response is amazing! So many people on it regognise and speak so highly of them! Well my husband is a self employed carpenter so i know that he could perhaps go to work slighty later but he wouldnt really be able to have days off at the drop of a hat too often as hed be known as unreliable and i dont want that! Oh dear so much to think about but i will let you know what i decide to do.
