looks great! Only one silly niggle, you spelt labour "labor" at one point. Apart from that i think it's lovely and I hope you have lots of takers!

Pixiefish · 06/10/2007 19:49

fab.

daisyandbabybootoo · 06/10/2007 19:54

lovely photos, and well done

the labor you already know about.

Maybe a headshot photo of you as well on your about me page?

lisasimpson · 06/10/2007 20:01

have you got any testimonials or comments from anyone that you can include?
you might want to wary of the wording 'i am trained in labour and birth' and to differentiate what you mean from what a midwife does.

MarsLady · 06/10/2007 20:03

Love the text!
Would love to see a picture of you there, maybe even with your kids. When people look at my site they often say that seeing me was what made them call.

Are you a member of DoulaUK? I didn't see a link to them and you can use their logo if you're a member.

Like the site.

hertsnessex · 06/10/2007 20:05

have replied on the NB forum.

Summerfruitfullofscaryworms · 06/10/2007 20:18

Great website !!

liahgen · 06/10/2007 21:12

Good points ladies,

I've added pic of me and the kids on a meet me page.

I didn't notice labor,(will go do that in min)

I've also explained a bit about being a trainee, aswell, didn't think that was very clear.

Have just applied to join Doula UK, and so will use the logo somehow when i get a response.
Do you think it will take long Marslady?

The pics are all my little baby Annie, born May this year, photography is also a passion, lol

I would crop that bump picture a tiny bit more on the 'about me' page so that you can't see the plug socket (just being picky now )

Does look very good.

MegaLegs · 06/10/2007 21:20

Your kids are gorgeous too!

liahgen · 06/10/2007 21:30

Megalegs, that is funny, ijust looked at that and thought exactly the same thing. lol

Thank you, we think our little angels are yummy but they all are aren't they?

(not sure that sounds right but i'm sure you know what i mean, haha)

thanks for your comments ladies. My baby is adorable. Have just taken to baby wearing, and she is sooo cuddly.

yeah i was thinking butterflies and beautiful process. As opposed to my nappy shop which is called Botty Totty. My dh thinks that is very poor, lol

i liked your site easy to read and not too fussy, did you do it yourself?

on your links page you have the link to natalhypnotherapy then you write hypnobirthing, i feel u should change that to maybe hypnosis for childbirth or something like that as its not the hypno birthing site.

sorry for being picky

liahgen · 10/10/2007 15:08

hiya, yeah, all my own work. Took me 6 hours..Pics are all my youngest bubs, 5mths now, I love photography aswell.

I'll change the hypnobirthing thing, thanks for pointing that out.
are you a doula? successful? I think getting out there in the beginning is the hardest isn't it?

Lovely website well done, good luck may lots of work pass your way

Celery · 10/10/2007 16:15

I think it's a great website, advertising yourself very well. If I were looking for a Doula and came across your site, it would definately make me want to contact you.

hiya,

im not a doula im a postnatal hca 3 years of caring for babies whose mothers have ental health problems but no £s to do the course

one day.................

liahgen · 10/10/2007 17:07

Hiya Little lapin,

Interesting comments. You were helping me with my nappy shop weren't you?. I haven't heard from you for ages.

Re your comments, I've done everything I could to centralise every page but a couple of them for some reason, just won't do it, although when I save it looks central, then when I view site, it's moved over, very strange. Columns of links again, were aligned in the show, then when I set it, it shows up like that.

I was a bit offended you said it looked amaturish, I am an amatuer, I'm not a web site designer. I worked hard on it, and did my best.

Thanks for the feedback.

that's a shame nattmatt, Money should not stop people being able to do this sort of thing. DUK ave a hardship fund for ladies who can't afford the full price, maybe they should look at peopl who woul like to become doula's in the same way.
