I'm starting this early as I've just found out I'm due at the beginning of May!

I had a MMC earlier this summer, followed by a CP so it's been pretty miserable. This one was quite a surprise, as we weren't planning on trying again until 1-2 years from now... I have 2 DCs, aged 3 and 16 months.

I'm hopeful but scared - but trying to stay positive.

@Elle3189 Completely agree! This is my second and at just over 6 weeks the nausea and exhaustion is hitting me really hard. Got off relatively lightly with my first pregnancy and just had the odd day of feeling a bit off. Being full up is helping I think but it's still hitting me in waves Confused

AAnd87 · 21/09/2020 20:41

Hi all, It’s been a rollercoaster 6 months so far.....
17 March miscarriage 6 weeks
31 March last period
30 June missed miscarriage
1st Sep bfp (we were both very cautious re the last 6 months)
Had some spotting 19th sep - here we go again!!
Went for first scan today very much going through the motions and there it was a tiny little heartbeat on the screen!
7 weeks 3 days due 6th May 2021.
Fingers crossed for all 😁

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/09/2020 06:23

Hey all, just newly found out I'm pregnant with a first baby. Assuming all goes well, est due date 31st may

DaringtoDream · 22/09/2020 07:23

@AAnd87 So sorry you’ve had to go through such heartache. Sending you hugs and positive thoughts. What a crummy year! Here’s to hoping for an amazing 2021 with lots of healthy pregnancies and babies. Congratulations on seeing your little ones heartbeat 🤗 How are you feeling? Has the scan reassured you? Every time I go to the loo I expect the worst 🙈 x

AAnd87 · 22/09/2020 07:30

@DaringtoDream Thank you 😊 I will be honest - I thought the scan was just going to remind me of the past 6 months but the positive outcome changes everything! I have been thoroughly wiped out the last 2 weeks (work 50+ hrs) in a nursery and the nausea has been impossible 😂 Hope all is well with you x

emma88P · 22/09/2020 10:30

Maybe we should create a private Facebook group girls? What do u think?

Elle3189 · 22/09/2020 11:37

@emma88P yeah I'm definitely up for that! X

emma88P · 22/09/2020 12:14

That's it created, May 2021 Babies
Prob easier for us all to chat there!

Elle3189 · 22/09/2020 13:59

@emma88P I can't seem to find it, there's quite a few groups for May 21 babies on there by the looks of it 😂 can you add me to it? My names Eleanor Federico-Awi, no one else has my surname so I should be easy to find! X

septembersurprise · 22/09/2020 19:18

What's the picture of the fb group? Is it this one?

I'm still not sure if I'm having another MMC or not. Had a positive test last Tuesday, some light bleeding on Sat, then a bit of brown over the last day or so but nothing since. Since I'm not even 4 weeks a scan wouldn't helped so I've ordered two hcg tests from Medichecks to see if the levels rise after two days.

Fb group would be good.

Jsygirlgsy · 24/09/2020 08:16

Hi ladies,

Is someone able to send a link to the fb group?

Just wondering if anyone else had any sickness? Im 6 weeks 1 day and was nauseous but that has now disappeared. I had a mmc at 8 weeks so nervous. I know people say dont wish for it but I feel like the symptom has vanished!

Dream90 · 24/09/2020 19:39

Anyone suffering from 'Scanxiety'?

Here's the story: I had a missed miscarriage at the end of April. I went for an early scan thinking I was 7 weeks and was told I was only 5 - I knew my exact dates as I had been on Clomid so I knew every minute of the month for the past 18months TTC. I just had a sinking feeling straight away that something just wasn't right. Anyway, I was advised to book in 2 weeks later but I booked in elsewhere 3 weeks later - there was no change in the size and still showing only 5 weeks. The next day at the EPU, then scanned me and said the there could be a potential developing pregnancy next to the failed one so I would have to wait even further instead of treatment straight away to see if it continues to grow. I returned back 10 days later to then be told 'it maybe was just a cyst and nothing can be seen' by another sonographer. It was the worse week of my life. I had medical management and the bleeding did not stop until 7 weeks later (also showing positive for upto 6 weeks later).

I' am pregnant nearly 3 months after the bleeding (2 irregular cycles) and completely natural! Now, the only thing is, is that I' am so worried about having a scan. Even the thought of one has my heart jump out of my chest. I cannot relax and just enjoy the feeling of being pregnant. Myself & hubby has decided to wait out until the usual 12 week scan instead of booking any early ones like last time. But this still makes me anxious that when I get to the 12week one, it might happen again. I did not bleed, have spotting or had any cramps etc intact, my symptoms were getting worse as the weeks went by.

I have googled how to cope with this but have yet to find anything to ease my mind. I just want to cry all the time because of the worry.

Thank you all, congratulations on your pregnancies x

Elle3189 · 25/09/2020 10:43

@Dream90 I can definitely sympathise with the 'Scanxiety'. I lost my first little boy to Edwards syndrome that was picked up on the 12 week scan, and every scan following that more problems were found with him until he sadly died when I was about 17 weeks pregnant.
I was really anxious when I fell pregnant 6 months later with my daughter, but every scan we had with her was perfect, and she was born bang on her due date completely happy and healthy. I still dread scans a bit but try to remember that although loss is devastating, most pregnancies do result in healthy babies, and your body is more than capable 🥰

I don't really know what to say because we've been trying for soooo long, but I figured I would pee on a stick this morning. Apparently as my last period was 18 August, we may well be having a baby in May 2021... I've been taking quite a few supplements and wondering if they've done me over on a false positive?

Jsygirlgsy · 27/09/2020 09:30

Hi @chippedchocolate unless you have very long cycles, your last period certainly suggests that you are pregnant!

I would book a doctors appointment and get them to check your blood hcg!

Fingers crossed!! I think you are pregnant Flowers

chippedchocolate · 27/09/2020 10:00

@Jsygirlgsy thank you for responding - I can't stop smiling, it just doesn't seem real - nearly three years in the making - we are both in shock! I'll book in with the GP, thank you.

Jsygirlgsy · 27/09/2020 10:37

@chippedchocolate that is amazing!! Let me know how you get on! That is so exciting! X

DaringtoDream · 01/10/2020 14:21

Anyone else incredibly thirsty? I cannot get enough water! which is only adding to the night time peeing lol.

Got my first scan on 19th Oct... so so nervous.

I don't remember being this exhausted and nauseous with my first, I can literally only face eating pizza and chips. Hows everyone else doing?

XenniallMama · 01/10/2020 22:35

@DaringtoDream I am thirsty all the time. I am really struggling with nausea this week. I am 7+2. Anyone else? It comes and goes, pretty bad this week and yesterday had to lie in bed all day. Usually nauseous every other day, today for example was good all day and it just started at night!

crystaltips98 · 07/10/2020 16:01

ECO2509 · 11/10/2020 19:18

Hi everyone,

I'm in the due May 2021 club! I'm expecting my first on 12th May (according to an early scan!) so 9 weeks 4 days! So excited, but also feeling quite overwhelmed with how unwell I've felt the last 4-5 weeks, sickness, nausea, exhaustion - it's making day to day life really difficult and definitely impacting my mental health. I'm also a big worrier in general, and I'm really worried for my 12 week scan on 26th October. Any tips for keeping calm and positive?

Thanks xx

Ash90 · 15/10/2020 19:27

Hey! I'm due May 3rd with my first. Feeling quite overwhelmed but excited.
