I'm starting this early as I've just found out I'm due at the beginning of May!

I had a MMC earlier this summer, followed by a CP so it's been pretty miserable. This one was quite a surprise, as we weren't planning on trying again until 1-2 years from now... I have 2 DCs, aged 3 and 16 months.

I'm hopeful but scared - but trying to stay positive.

Thank you @ ! It is a little different here in the Channel Islands, we have to go through our GPs as we do not have a big maternity until with midwives we can contact (it is really annoying!)

It is my first baby too (all going well!) Flowers @May2021excited

Elle3189 · 09/09/2020 14:01

@Jsygirlgsy ahh ok yeah that must be annoying! Here we just book in with the midwives at 8 weeks and as long as we’re low risk we don’t really need to see a Dr at all during the pregnancy! Fingers crossed for us all having a smooth problem-free pregnancy 🤞🏼❤️

DaringtoDream · 09/09/2020 19:56

Hi everyone, congratulations on your bfp’s I am 4+4 today so due around 24th May 2021 🤞 I have an 18 month old daughter but prior to her I had 3 consecutive miscarriages. Feeling pretty anxious, hoping the aspirin does the trick again.

DaringtoDream · 09/09/2020 19:58

Due around 14th* that was supposed to say

Jascarm · 10/09/2020 07:15

Hi all, found out I was pregnant after coming off the pill recently. I had a cyst removed from my ovary last year and started getting pain there yesterday so went to the EPU. Baby is in the right place but can’t see a fetal pole yet so I’ve been booked in for 2 weeks time and they measured me as 5+1. The doctor said that it was too early to see anything so don’t panic! I’ve had a mc before so very paranoid about everything I feel BUT also very excited and have my fingers crossed for us all 😁😁.

Has anyone started to get symptoms? My boobs were a bit sore but it comes and goes?

Elle3189 · 10/09/2020 07:23

@Jascarm Aw Congratulations!! I'm around 4+3 and definitely have symptoms, apparently you get symptoms earlier with your second and I've got a toddler that's prob making things a bit more difficult too 😂 I've got tiredness and some nausea now and again, just a bit of a hungover feeling really 😫 I've just this week stopped breastfeeding my toddler when I found out I was pregnant so haven't noticed any sore boobs yet although I'm sure they'll come! X

DaringtoDream · 10/09/2020 08:31

@Jascarm @Elle3189 congratulations. I’ve definitely got exhaustion and have been constantly hungry for at least a week. Craving salty things.

Elle3189 · 10/09/2020 08:47

@DaringtoDream ooh yes the hunger has hit me the last couple of days too! I'm either hungry or nauseous no in between 😂 I ate a lot of jalapeños with my little girl and I'm already eyeing them up so looks like I've got my cravings already too! 🤪x

DaringtoDream · 10/09/2020 10:12

@Elle3189 😂 I don’t think I could face spicy. Wonder if cravings are linked to gender! We’ve already agreed not to find out The gender. We didn’t Find out we were having a girl with our daughter until she arrived.

May2021excited · 10/09/2020 16:19

@Jascarm congratulations! I think I’m about 4+5 and I’ve had sore boobs from really early on, about 2 weeks already! Nausea is really hitting me more the last few days and exhaustion- I’ve never known anything like it!
@DaringtoDream with you on craving salty things!

Elle3189 · 10/09/2020 17:06

@DaringtoDream I've eaten jalapeños with every meal since last night so far..including my breakfast this morning 🙈 I just can't get enough of them! I'm the opposite to you I need to know the gender ASAP 😂 I saw a home gender test advertised online the other day that tells you from 8 weeks pregnant what the gender is and I'm sooo tempted!

Hello ladies. Feeling very sick at the moment. This could be baby 4 for me. So I’m just suspecting at the moment.

sunflower1988 · 11/09/2020 07:57

Is anyone else thinking about getting an early scan for reassurance ? Not sure I can wait another 7 weeks!

DaringtoDream · 11/09/2020 08:40

@sunflower1988 I’ve asked my GP for an early scan because of a history of miscarriages. She’s writing to my consultant and checking with the early pregnancy unit as she’s not sure what their policy is with COVID. I know what you mean about the wait though, it’s torture 🙈 and I’m going to be so hard not being to take anybody with for scans 😬

Bea11 · 11/09/2020 08:55

Morning everyone, huge congratulations on your pregnancies and I hope that you don't mind me jumping on the thread. I found out this week that I'm pregnant and due 20th May.
I've got a 6 year old but I also lost a baby at full term in 2016 and have had 3 miscarriages since then. I'm taking aspirin this time round in the hope that it will make a difference. Trying really hard to stay positive but obviously very nervous too!

Bea11 · 11/09/2020 09:03

@sunflower1988 my husband is keen for me to have an early scan but I think I'd be happier to wait for the 12 week scan. I had early scans with my last pregnancy but had to keep going back as it was to early for them to confirm anything properly. It made for a very stressful few weeks. Can understand you wanting to go for an early scan though. The wait is so tough isn't it!

Bea11 · 11/09/2020 09:09

I'm so sorry to hear that you have suffered miscarriages too. Did you take take aspirin when you were pregnant with your daughter? Was it recommended because of your miscarriages?

Bea11 · 11/09/2020 10:41

Apologies, forgot to put quotes on the post below!
DaringtoDream · 11/09/2020 12:06

@Bea11 congratulations on your bfp. So sorry to hear about your losses 😢 I can not even begin to imagine how awful that must have been. yes I took aspirin with my now 18 month old. I had lots of tests after 3 consecutive early miscarriages and they never found anything specifically wrong so recommended taking a low dose aspirin with my daughter which is why I’ve just started taking it with this pregnancy too.

Bea11 · 11/09/2020 12:13

@DaringtoDream Thanks for your kind words. I won't lie, it's been a tough few years and it's really hard to let myself believe that things may work out this time. I'm just going to have to wait and see! Just like you, I had lots of tests following the miscarriages and no reason for them was found. It's so good to hear that taking aspirin seemed to do the trick for you. I'm religiously taking it every day in the hope that things will be different with this pregnancy!

DaringtoDream · 11/09/2020 12:37

@Bea11 I hope the aspirin works for us both 🤞 I know what you mean, I’m not letting myself get too emotionally invested at this early stage, that’s partly why we don’t find out the gender. Trying to stay positive. Wishing everybody on here a smooth and enjoyable pregnancy 🤗

Bea11 · 11/09/2020 13:09

@DaringtoDream I completely understand that. Self-protection is so important, especially in the early stages. Will be thinking about you x

looloo247 · 12/09/2020 06:26

Anyone else already having to make up reasons for not drinking? I've got a 'stomach bug' this weekend Hmm

Bea11 · 12/09/2020 06:57

Being on antibiotics for a urine infection was always a favourite of mine when I was pregnant with my daughter!

looloo247 · 12/09/2020 07:14

@Bea11 I used that one last time!
