Anyone else find out there due in April 2021. Just found out yesterday that's I'm pregnant with our first baby, we only started trying about 6/7weeks ago so this has been the best news ever. Would love to have some other mummies that are due around that same time to experience this with.

I was 4 days behind where I thought I was but my gyno told me not to worry too much as I am someone who doesn't have regular periods so it was just a guess.

What is the Facebook page?

@Tiff94 and @Shep1808 so glad to hear your early scans went well. Can I ask a dense question? Are you counting 6 weeks etc as date from first day of last period or day of ovulation? We want to book one so my husband can come to one in case things don't change at our local hospital before my NHS scan. Thanks both...clueless newbie here!!

Also, is anyone else having a booking appointment over the phone? I thought they took your bloods etc normally but our local midwifery team are only doing phone calls atm 🤷🏼‍♀️

Shep1808 · 14/08/2020 10:39

I don't have regular periods so I was on fertility treatment so they have used the first day of that as my first day of pregnancy

Tiff94 · 14/08/2020 10:49

@Tink2019 my is from my LM 28th June. So 6+4 from that date that's how they will date you as well. I also am having a booking appointment via phone on the 1st September and have been told my bloods and urine will be done at the first scan at 11 weeks. It's hard in this situation as you barely know much and don't get to see anyone for so long hence why I did and early scan.

Thanks both 😊 Based on first day of my last period I'm 5 weeks 1 day, so can probably book in for a private scan in a couple of weeks. @Tiff94 maybe that's just how they're doing it atm then - would've liked the reassurance of seeing the midwife, so definitely going to book an early scan! X

Tiff94 · 14/08/2020 11:24

@Tink2019 you can go for a scan as of next week I went yesterday at 6+4 they did a vaginal scan (very easy not painful) and I was able to see everything and the heart beat so I'd book for the next couple weeks it will easy your mind it has mine. I would have loved to meet the midwife as well but I don't think that's goi g to change anytime soon. Which makes it hard especially for us fist time mumma who have no clue about anything ahah

Hi!
Would you mind if I joined?
I’m super new to any forums but thought the support would be good.
I had a positive test around 3 days ago and due approximately 14th April Smile

Turns out I'm now going to the EPU for a scan next week to rule out an ectopic pregnancy...the midwife was very reassuring and did say she's certain it's not, but of course now I'm super worried. It's so shit isn't it that you spend months (almost a year for us) ttc and then when it happens there's just more worry. Hopefully all is ok and can then book a private scan. Thanks for replying about the scans @Tiff94 x

Hi all,
I'd love to join? I've been having bfp's for a few days and think my Edd will be 25/04 based on when I think I ovulated?
I have one lovely little boy who's 15 months and still breastfeeding. More miscarriages than I can actually remember which is sad. Feeling anxious but excited! My gp is referring me for an early scan which is reassuring.

Geauxtigers · 14/08/2020 20:12

Have just had my BFP. Can't quite believe it as have been trying since November and had been tracking cycles, knowing when I ovulate dtd regularly and nothing. Then I was away from my husband for 3 weeks caring for a sick relative and we had sex once in July and haven't dtd since. I just found out today I'm 6weeks! So funny how these things happen.
I did get incredibly drunk last week, to the point of making myself sick that night and I've had at least 3 or 4 big nights where I've had at least 1 or 1.5 bottles of wine, as I just thought we had sex once and haven't had since so no way it's gonna happen.... Of course it did trying not to worry about that too much as what is done is done and I'm tee total until the birth now! Anyone recommend some good prenatal vitamins?

calimommy · 14/08/2020 20:48

@Geauxtigers congrats. We had a fluke month in July too, DTD 2 max so I assumed it was out.
No recommendations on the vits except to take them at night before bed so they don't make you vom. 👌

Tiff94 · 15/08/2020 16:32

Welcome @Geauxtigers @felicityheather @19Lau glad to have you join us.

How is everyone this weekend?

Littleone2021 · 15/08/2020 17:06

Hi tiff, I'm just (im)patiently counting the days to my early scan! Only 9 days to go 😊

Other than that, trying to keep occupied, bought some painy and wood for a bookcase we're building in our bedroom alcove and took the dog on a long walk through the woods!

How's everyone else keeping occupied/distracted?

felicityheather · 15/08/2020 21:25

Hope everyone's well! I've just had my first bout of nausea and vomiting. Forgot how rough I feel pregnant. Last time that started at 5 weeks and stuck around until delivery. So so gutted it's started already. 😩

felicityheather · 15/08/2020 21:29

And @geauxtigers you've got the right attitude. What's done is done. I had a very heavy night at a friend's wedding the night before I found out I was pregnant with my son and felt guilty for so long. It didn't help any!

stellarfox · 16/08/2020 07:45

Hi I’ve just found out I’m pregnancy with my second! My calculator says 27 April. I’d love to join the Facebook group but is it visible to others? We’re so early on I don’t want anyone else to see. I’ve found my mumsnet group from my first amazing support!

stellarfox · 16/08/2020 07:46

*pregnant

stellarfox · 16/08/2020 07:51

I’ve just seen the Facebook group link and it is visible so people will be able to see if I’m a member... if you would consider making this hidden and invite only I’ll definitely join! On our previous group you had to send your email address to the admins and they added you

2alreadywantanother · 16/08/2020 07:53

Its private

Ltay2 · 16/08/2020 08:05

@stellarfox Congratulations! People can see that the fb group exists but can't see that you are a member or anything that anyone posts unless they are also in the group so it is private.

stellarfox · 16/08/2020 08:52

@Ltay2 Ooh ok as long as no one can see I’m a member that’s fine! I thought when it said visible it means people could see I’m in it. That’s fine then thanks!

2alreadywantanother · 16/08/2020 08:57

Omg super emotional today. Sitting watching 1 born every minute and il bawling. 😂😂🙈
