I got BFP this morning six months to the day after my MC, only 12DPO but so happy. Please pray this one holds on!!!! I am due on June 1 according to OV calendars so have the pleasure of starting this thread.

Anyone else out there or am I the only mental person who tests this early?

Oh Lilypink, I'm so sorry.

Sending you a big hug

Deb

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 22/10/2007 20:20

Can you guys please put my mind at rest....I've not had any blood or anything but my knickers had discoloured discharge on them about half hour ago. It was sort of tinged with a pinky colour. Nothing very obvious, just very slightly dis-coloured which has made me worry due to previous miscarriage. Nothing I could really notice when I wipe - tell me to calm down and stop worrying!!! Suppose I'm more worried due to not really having the metal mouth today (which I should be pleased about as it was most annoying) and I ache a bit.

libralady · 22/10/2007 21:44

Hi,
Please can I sneak in the side door?
Got a BFP today after a very very faint line on Saturday. Didn't wish to get my hopes up as AF wasn't due until Wednesday, so tested on the off chance (and not even with first wee of the day!) Today tested first thing and forgot about it until I returned from work (was in the office by 7.30am)and checked with DH this evening. There it was a great big fat pink second line. I am in total shock as it took me 3 year + to conceive with DS and this time it has taken 4 months. I wish I'd known about Mumsnet last time around. With all the help and support from everyone you get to understand you body a whole lot better.
It looks like I've joined this thread at a particularly sad time. Sorry to those who are having a difficult time at the moment.

debinaustria · 22/10/2007 21:51

Looney - How are you feeling now? Any more discharge? I'm sorry I haven't had any experience of this but if it's only pink it doesn't sound too worrying.Maybe you should also ask on the pregnancy forum?

Libralady - so pleased to see you here, congratulations once again!!

Deb

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 22/10/2007 21:57

libralady - I'm so pleased to see you here! Congratulations!!

debinaustria - no more discharge but can't stop crying. Poor dh must be wondering what on earth to do with me. I just have a bad feeling about this and not because of the discharge - maybe I'm just being paranoid! I know I had ds fine after the mc but I just keep thinking that if I'm like this after 6 days of knowing....I don't think I can get to 12 weeks to wait for the scan. So many others have managed to get early scans when worried, I;m just gutted. Please ignore me, I'm embarrassed for going on! Just can't shake the bad feeling.

debinaustria · 22/10/2007 22:19

Looney - why do you have to wait until 12 weeks if you're that worried?

Have you any pains as well?

Deb

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 22/10/2007 22:24

The person I saw today was nice but basically said it's 12 weeks and that's that. I've not had any alarming pains or anything but I'm very uncomfortable around my sides/ribs etc. but that is probably stretching? I know soooo many people go through mc and I've only had 1 so why should I be worried - ds was fine. Maybe I'm just over emotional atm? Just that it feels like a lifetime away and I worry that worrying could cause problems as stressing me out (I am trying not to worry btw )

Thanks for letting me moan - I feel really silly

debinaustria · 22/10/2007 22:29

You shouldn't feel silly, hormones raging around really don't help either do they?

i had a lot of aching yesterday too, I think I had walked too far.

I hope you manage to calm yourself down and get a good nights sleep, please let me know how you are in the morning. I'm off to bed now as I'm an hour ahead of you, but I feel decidedly sick yuck!!

Night

Take care

Deb

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 22/10/2007 22:34

Night night, thanks for listening xx

debinaustria · 23/10/2007 06:23

Good morning ladies, how are things thismorning Looney?

Deb

libralady · 23/10/2007 06:30

Morning Debs,
How's the MS this am? Reading through the previous posts it looks like you've been suffering from it badly this time around.
I'm concerned......had difficulty getting to sleep last night, things going around my head and the BFP still to sink in really, but have been waking about 5am for the last few days including over the weekend. If I remember correctly from klast time, I felt so tired all the time I could drop off at the drop of a hat so to speak and you had to drag me from my bed in the morning. Is this a bad thing? I know it's early days.

libralady · 23/10/2007 06:31

How are you doing looney?

debinaustria · 23/10/2007 08:03

Morning Libralady

Sitting here sipping fizzy water with lemon in, sickness bands just gave me tingly fingers.

Had a few bouts of it already this morning but I usually manage to keep my food down, it's just liquid that comes back up.It's still pretty violent though iykwim and hurts my stomach muscles. This is my worst time of the day though and it takes me ages to get going. I normally take the boys to school but I just can't do it at the moment so dh takes them and then I pick them up when I feel more normal.

Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well, I've heard of a few people who are like that at the beginning of the pregnancy - so much to think about.

I have to have a nap in the daytime and even then by bedtime I'm shattered - isn't it amazing what such a tiny thing can do to you?

Deb

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 23/10/2007 08:40

debinaustria - sorry you're having it so rough, poor thing!! How many weeks are you now? Fingers crossed it passes soon!!!

libralady - I was like that for the first 4 nights, tossing and turning, breaking in a sweat and up and down in the night like a yo yo. I've been better since though.

Well....I've got no bleeding or pains, just a terrible feeling. Has anyone else ever had a feeling that it's definitely not going to work out and then all is ok? I wish I didn't feel this way but it feels like it's all over - the feeling is so strong that I feel it's like 'intuition' I hope I'm wrong but it's the way I feel right now. The metal mouth wasn't there yesterday and it was very intense for the first few days. I don't really feel sick or have sore or heavy (.)(.) I've also lost that wet feeling below and well.....just don't feel AT ALL pregnant. Oh well, I just have to wait and see I suppose. Off for this blood test this blood test in 20 mins, feel like it's a waste of time but still going in case I'm wrong.

I've got a Dr's appointment booked for Friday morning. Basically, this is my normal Dr and the earliest I could get once I got the BFP a week ago. Then I booked another Dr as just wanted to go asap and kept this one just in case. I haven't cancelled yet and I need to make a decision....do you think I should go to this appointment and tell her I can't take my mind off it? I'm so sad etc? I'm not working this week but will be back to childminding next week with up to 4 under 5 yr olds....don't think I can carry on whilst I feel like this - I'd rather know if something is wrong! What do you think?

So sorry to be so negative!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 23/10/2007 09:45

No need to answer, I feel that worked up I decided that I MUST talk to the Dr as if everything is ok now, the stress of worrying could make it not be iyswim. So, I asked the receptionist if there's ANY way of getting an earlier appointment with MY Dr and YES, I'm seeing her tomorrow afternoon. Blood test results MAY be in on Friday too - keep your fingers crossed! (as surely if something is wrong, the hormone levels would be lower???)

Thanks for letting me moan, I feel silly and can't really talk to anyone about this in RL as without having the hormones , they just wouldn't understand!!

flosspot · 23/10/2007 09:47

Looney- I know that NH had that kind of show recently and everything turned out ok....thinking of you and keeping everything crossed. I live daily with fear and know how awful it is. (((((hugs)))))

TwilightSurfer · 23/10/2007 09:48

Libralady how wonderful to see you've graduated from the ttc october thread. Congratulations. I too had sleeping issues after I first found out. I think it was a combination of excitement and anxiety. It passed within a few days and now I'm nodding off whenever I get still.

BSL I'm 7Weeks3Days and have had felt I wasn't pregnant at times. Keep in mind some women don't even realize they are pregnant till month three or so. They discount the odd feelings at first as a tummy bug or the like. Find a positive. It's still very early.

Deb in a very small way I wish I could share your MS. That's the one thing missing for me this time round. I had a minor session yesterday morning which (this is funny) gave me comfort. There's just something about having firm proof that your body's making a baby. You sound like your coping well despite the discomfort. Won't be long and it will be gone.

I'm just going about my days with itchy boobs and a bit of constipation...anyone want to trade MS for these symptoms. My tummy's expansion has halted at the moment. Ordered some Levi 504 jeans and cords off the web. The very low waist is perfect. Both the cords and jeans have some stretchy material built in so they give nicely. I'm hoping they'll stay with me for the duration as I really HATE maternity pants.

Wishing all a good day.

systemsaddict · 23/10/2007 09:52

So sorry to hear lilypink's news. If you're still reading lilypink, you are not doing anything wrong, you've just been really unlucky. I hope you can get well looked after now and get lots of support, both here and in RL, from people who understand.

Looney, hope you're wrong in your intuition. I would say it's definitely worth telling the Dr. how you feel, sometimes you can get an early scan if you really push them - my best friend burst into tears in the surgery and that did it! Don't worry about worrying, if that makes sense, it can't do any harm to the baby, although it is obviously better for you if you can relax.

Welcome libralady - insomnia is definitely an early pg symptom!

QueenofBleach · 23/10/2007 10:41

Congratulations Libralady.

Lonney big hugs and fingers crossed for you, with DD1 I had about ten days of sickness and then nothing and really didn't feel pregnant until about 20 weeks when I started having to get bigger clothes.

Deb - hope things settle down for you soon.

sickness is going can cook breakfast for B&B's without having to get DH to take over, however have started throwing up when walking doag (same as last time) so have to go somewhere quiet.

This is the last full on week and then it really quietens down just the odd booking mid week but weekends still busy. Booked in with midwife next Tuesday just to get registered and get the list of things can/can't eat as of to Venice for a few days

Also of to hypnotists on Friday to get rid of the evil fags, almost quit but not quite

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 23/10/2007 10:51

Thanks everyone, I'm so embarrassed about going on and on when some people have actually had losses, I feel like an insensitive cow Anyway, I've given myself a right hard slap and snapped out of it for now. Told myself that worrying myself sick isn't going to change anything, I do feel better that I'm seeing my own dr tomorrow and I know I'll burst into tears but hey, maybe that's what's needed!!

Been on the phone to dh and he's now crapping himself a little worried but in a way......someone at work who quite often predicts things right shocked him today.....she told him that at the weekend she cracked an egg into the frying pan and 2 yolks came out. She insists that it means that someone she knows is going to be having twins and that last time that happened, she was right and it came true Well, with the strong history in my family and the fact that dh is a twin (not that he has anything to do with it as it's what's on the females side)....he has right to worry . I just told him that I'm past caring....I know we'd struggle if it was but I just want it/them to be healthy now and that's all that matters!!! Anyway, it may not even be true. I have heard that about the yolks before but it could be a coincidence!

I've decided these hormones have a lot to answer for...worrying me like this! If a bloke treated me like this I'd him a great big slap!!!

Off to keep myself busy. Think I'll start with a bacon sarnie as I've got my appetite back now I've calmed down!

What would I do without Mumsnet eh!! Anyone else would think I'm barking mad!!

QueenofBleach · 23/10/2007 11:06

Good job it wasn't me aho predicts things with eggs otherwise you would be having 8, 4 double yolkers in one box.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 23/10/2007 11:13

I've never had a double yolk before!!! lol Hey....how many on the anti-natal threads are having twins???

I just love the way it really gets to dh!!

dylansluckymum · 23/10/2007 11:34

hi everyone! lilypink if you're still about i am so sorry for your loss. it might just not be the right time for your body - hopefully the next go is the one that's meant to be!

welcome to newcomers and hope everyone feeling sick is feeling better and everyone who wants to feel sick starts to!

i had 2nd early scan today and everything looks good. she thinks i might be a bit less than my dates but she said to wait until the 12 week scan because the early ones aren't as accurate. i got to see the heartbeat which is of course amazing.

i'm also feeling a lot better. i still have a bit of nausea but it seems to come in waves which is so much easier to handle.

looney i know what it's like to work yourself up into a frenzy, in fact i'm the queen of it, my life is not complete without worrying myself sick but i think your emotions alone are a pretty good sign of hormones!! x

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 23/10/2007 11:39

dylansluckymum - oh wow, you've seen a little heartbeat, how lovely Yes, I'm never happy unless I'm worrying and I did decided that getting in a state must be hormones and therefore a good thing. I'm feeling MUCH MUCH better now thanks - if I start up again, please can you give me a vitual SLAP!!!
