I got BFP this morning six months to the day after my MC, only 12DPO but so happy. Please pray this one holds on!!!! I am due on June 1 according to OV calendars so have the pleasure of starting this thread.

Anyone else out there or am I the only mental person who tests this early?

Can I join here??? Or should I wait until I know my due date? Could be end of June or beginning of July, not sure yet.

Got my BFP today and although we've been ttc and I was desperate to start, I decided this month to stop thinking about ttc and so when I got the BFP, I was in shock, scared, thinking OH NO etc. but also as of course it's what we really want

debinaustria · 17/10/2007 06:28

Glad you found us BSL - have you come back down to earth today? Or still wandering round grinning?

Deb

goingfor3 · 17/10/2007 08:01

Congratulations Looney!!!!!!!!!!! Of course you are welcome here, I'm due end of May start of June but have decided to use this thread.

Lilypink · 17/10/2007 08:05

Morning all, I have just been crying at gmtv, feeling very slightly sick and my boobs a bit tender, have also done my 3rd pg test and it has come up so strong - I am 6 weeks tomorrow. I can't help thinking its a good sign for the tests to be getting stronger over the last 2 weeks.

Any other ladies who are worried that they havn't got any symptoms might be reassured that mine don't seem to be kicking in till 6 weeks.

Welcome to all the newbies with BFPs, its so exciting but nerve wracking at the same time - esp for those who have had losses before. I really hope that this is a lucky thread for us all

AND I had a dream about the name Elodie last night! I think I rather like it.... Another name I am rather liking is Belle, but what middle name goes with such a short first name?

Josie57 · 17/10/2007 08:25

Morning all, I've been lurking on the TTC threads for a while but now I can officially join the due in June thread as I had a BFP at the weekend. Hip hip hooray. It's my second and I think I am even more excited this time round - last time it came as a bit of shock even though we were ttc. Anyway, I'm feeling fine and dandy at the moment but am waiting for the nausea and tiredness to kick in. Last time they started about 6-7 weeks and as I am 6 weeks today I'm expecting it soon. Never mind I have stocked up on the ginger beer and salt and vinegar crisps so we should cope. Anyway nice to join you all and here's to happy pregnancies for us all!

Har · 17/10/2007 08:57

Welcome Looney and Josie! And big congratulations!!!

Lily - am very tempted to buy some more tests, want to see another lovely strong line to reassure me!

Well the tummy thing developed yesterday and I ended up with a high fever and felt just appalling. However many people told me it wouldn't affect the pregnancy I've been so upset and worried. Woke up in the night with a completely new stomach pain and burning up and was sure mc was about to being (cue middle of the night googling!) No blood yet and temperature down this morning (heard that fever isn't good in first trimester) and feeling lots better so really hoping everything's ok. Want my scan!

imopop · 17/10/2007 10:17

Rolf-I had something called TEG studies done which looks at the process of blood clotting. These studies came back abnormal so they know there is a clotting problem but dont know what specific clotting disorder it is. I am under Prof Regan and Raj Rai at st. marys recurrent miscarriage clinic. I have to go back next week for further test results. Good luck to you.

Har- How many weeks are you?

Har · 17/10/2007 10:40

Hi Imopop, I've five weeks and five days (feel like a kid making sure people know she's not just seven but seven and three months. Those months were so important then... and these days pulling me on that little bit further seem so very important now!) If you're having your six week scan next week then we must be about the same? I'm not getting a scan till 1st November. Are you being scanned early because of your history? How horrible to have the clotting problem and not know what it is, did you only discover it when you started having the miscarriages? Sorry if I'm prying.

HelenCS · 17/10/2007 11:08

Hi Everyone,

Iv just been booked in to see the midwife in 3 weeks, im 5 weeks at the moment but ive been told i have to be at least 8 weeks to have a scan but thats not true is it??

obviously just wuna see my baby to make sure its ok xxx

nh101andhertwinbeans · 17/10/2007 11:14

Hiya Helen. Welcome and congrats! If you haven't had a previous miscariage and you get no bleeding you are unlikely to get a scan before 12 weeks. They CAN scan you earlier (I had mine at 7 weeks on Monday and they could see everything - unless there was another baby hsing in there somewhere ) but they don't can early if they can help it. Annoying but just be glad if you have no bleeding you and your baby are probably OK.

welcome to all the other newbies!

goingfor3 · 17/10/2007 11:16

Helen, I can only say the same as NH101 you will only get an early scan if there are complications.

Har · 17/10/2007 11:26

Hi Helen, I'm in the same position, just over 5 weeks and scan not till November I found out. I completely understand how you're feeling, I'm absolutely desperate to know everything's ok but I think everyone is right, if there's no bleeding then we just have to have faith that everything is ok. Very difficult though, isn't it?!

sweetbean · 17/10/2007 12:15

Just had my booking in appointment im 8wks 5days so edd 24th May alto im sure that i will be late as dd was 10 days late.

Do you think i should join the May thread ??

nh101andhertwinbeans · 17/10/2007 12:25

No!! You're staying here now, don't go over to those smelly May-ers

I am due in May now too (as I am having twins don't you know!!!! ) but am staying here.

Have you got your scan date then?

josey · 17/10/2007 12:30

Afternoon all

Wow lots of new bumps welcome to everyone.

Har glad you are feeling better today, I know what you mean about the extra days.

Imopop what you have been though is so
I really hope all works out this time.

Sweetbean stay with us, you could always cross between posts then you will know everyone for the post nat thread.

Id love to be 2 weeks early then it will be my birthday bumpy will be born on.

Still no sickness which is good but a worry, just feel really washed out and sluggish till around half 10 everyday.

I have booking in appointment in 3 weeks it seems for ever away, dont know when I will get scan, I have changed region since last DC and my pervious hospital only did a 12week this one does a 20week also so looking forward to that for a change.

josey · 17/10/2007 12:31

lol NH smelly Mayer

systemsaddict · 17/10/2007 12:31

Hi can I have a whinge? Am feeling emotionally completely all over the place today - the house seems overwhelming, I am feeling guilty I'm not looking after ds properly and giving him enough stimulation, angry with dp who has a day off today so was looking forward to doing some nice family stuff but then he stayed up till 2am on his PC and is still in bed ... he has just had busiest 2 weeks of year at work and been ill at same time so deserves a break but when do I get one?? I am fed up with feeling sick and fed up with feeling exhausted and like everything's on top of me ... I know it's hormonal in large part but I hate it!!! When will the blooming start???? I don't remember feeling like this last time - but then I didn't have ds so had a lot less on my plate at this point.

ok rant over, back to your normal programming, sorry!

Welcome to newbies. Har, my best friend had gastrointestinal bug when she was 11 weeks pg (and staying with us, and I think we gave it to her ), she had to go to A&E was so bad, worst illness she'd ever had and that includes several bouts of dysentery, and they told her it would have no effect on the pregnancy and not to worry. She's just had a lovely little boy.

Stay with us sweetbean, we know you now!

(Rolf, I have Two Little Boys running round my head after your cryptic identifier for lulumama and I cry every time I 'hear' it!!)

josey · 17/10/2007 12:32

oops that looks so wrong didnt mean it to look like that missed the - and the s

goingfor3 · 17/10/2007 13:10

systemsaddict poor you. Early pregnancy hormones do make us all feel crappy somedays and great others. I don't think I've ever bloomed in pregnancy, just gone from feeling tired at the start to tired and heavy at the end with not much inbetween!

nh101andhertwinbeans · 17/10/2007 13:17

Josey, men are crap - they only think of themselves! With my DH I have to try to anticipate what he is going to do that will piss me off and then encourage him to do something else!

You do deserve a break, so calmly ask him when he gets up to look after your DS so you can go and have a well deserved lie down!

Hope you feel better tomorrow - don't worry about not giving DS enough attention. Guilt is what parents do!

HelenCS · 17/10/2007 13:22

ahh thanks for all your help ladies

i just thought you were supposed to be scanned alot earlier than 12 weeks.

Its just so frustrating, specially as i found out i was expecting the earliest i possibly could and now turns out i have to wait nearly another 2 months to have a scan

And i dont really feel i can start getting excited until ive had one and seen the baby, does that make sense????!?!

xxxx

sweetbean · 17/10/2007 13:48

Hi all

Can i just say OMG NH101andhertwinbeans how the hell did i miss that im for you that amazing !!!!!!

I have to say that i have been getting odd twin vibes but im sure its nothing as there is no family history and im not on any fertility treatment.

Feel so sick at the moment and very tired and ratty so also feel like a usless mother !!! but i know i will feel alot better when i get passed 12 weeks !!
