I got BFP this morning six months to the day after my MC, only 12DPO but so happy. Please pray this one holds on!!!! I am due on June 1 according to OV calendars so have the pleasure of starting this thread.

Anyone else out there or am I the only mental person who tests this early?

The scans are to make sure my cervix isn't funneling and if it does then they can put an emergency stitch in so they are not to look at the baby as my others have grown and developed well.

systemsaddict · 12/10/2007 14:18

Hi littlemy34, welcome and congratulations, how old is your ds? I have a 13 month old and am both delighted and terrified at being unexpectedly pg again, I currently have "2 under 2" running through my head like a mantra! Ds1 bit me last night and nearly drew blood ... at moments like that I do think, what are we doing?? ... but delighted wins out more often than not, I have history of infertility and feel like this new bean is a little miracle. We'll be fine, we have the collective wisdom of mumsnet to get us through!!

What set me off this morning Deb - EVERYTHING! especially smell of bacon sandwich shop down the road, blich ... I'm much better now though, think I have morning and evening sickness but just RAVENOUS in the middle of the day, so I am getting my whole day's food in at lunchtimes. Also may sleep in Seabands tonight to see if that helps. Poor dp isn't used to catering for himself in the evenings so is starving at the moment - I may keep this up, it's good preparation for him!!

calebsmum · 12/10/2007 14:28

eurgh, have laryngitus (sp), an upset stomach and feeling nauseous! Haven't really got any family support due to all my family working full-time but a really good friend came and watched DS for a few hours this afternoon so I could nap! Trousers are definately getting snug, am looking up maternity belts on eBay.

I got a BFP on Cycle day 18 which was 14 days past ovulation, seems a little early to me though?

LazyLou, my boss was like yours very unsympathetic, I had to phone Occ Services myself at 24wks before my workplace was assessed for a pregnant woman, she was also very funny about me taking time off for ante-natal appointments. Thing is, it's your right and she's in the wrong, could you give her a leaflet or something on working when pregnant??

calebsmum · 12/10/2007 14:29

Oh yes lots of excess CM here as well!! Also feel like curling into a ball, there's too much to take in/do at once!

josey · 12/10/2007 15:03

Hi everyone - sorry for those of you going though rough time, G43 I really dont envy what you are going though, just praying everything will be ok and the regular scans will pick up anything quick.

Lazylou I remember someone from my last Anti natal mn going through something similar in a simialr job, her midwife and doc argreed she had to be signed off until her boss sorted things out she spent most of her pg unhappy and away from work, some gental bully behaviour towards your boss now wont hurt and just tell them you have your appointment not can I have it, just remember they cant sack you for being PG.

I have my first proper OMG im going to chuck this morning eating my toast I didnt though my ds said sorry as he though he was making too much noise when he saw me with head in hands. Apart from boobs screaming at me when I take my bra off, loads of CM and a silly amount of teenage spots Im doing ok.

DG hope you join up, in the next couple of days, you have the same symptoms me and TS had when we tested. good luck.

TwilightSurfer · 12/10/2007 20:58

Sleep, Eat, Eat, Sleep, Eat, Sleep, Eat, Eat, Sleep... This isn't a bad pattern if I want to be the size of an elephant soon. I've collected loads of quiet time play things that my DD can use in my bed during the day as I snooze a bit. Honestly, she's quite bored with me right now. Although MS is still hiding I'm sure it's planning to strike hard any day. DH traveling out of town in jus over a week. THAT WILL BE WHEN IT STRIKES !

LittleMy34 my DD was horrible the week I got my BFP. She's only 3.5 so I know she didn't actually know what we were all talking about. She's calmed down a bit but I too asked myself the "what was I thinking" question.

debinaustria · 13/10/2007 07:03

It was brushing my teeth that set me off last night ladies - I was convinced I could smell the drains from the plughole, I quickly put the plug in to to no avail!!

I hope that nothing triggers it at my German course today, could be embarassing having to explain in German and make a dash for it.

Ladylush - anything's worth a try eh? My ds slept badly until 4.5 years old!! Then he was diagnosed with glue ear and enlarged adenoids, he had the adneoids removed and sleeps so much better now.

TS I'm sleeping so much too, every time I sit on the settee, I'm off, but then again so is dh - in sympathy I think!! I'm not doing the eating though, I can manage my meals but can't be bothered with sweet stuff which is most unlike me, What I'd love is a tin of rice pudding - but not here in Austria. Maybe they sell the rice and I can make some myself??

Enjoy your weekend everyone

Deb

dylansluckymum · 13/10/2007 07:46

deb send me your address and I'll post you a tin of rice pudding. i'm canadian so i know what it's like to not be able to get your hands on something you really fancy! my email is susieq_cdn at yahoo dot com.

as if i wasn't feeling rough enough i now have a brutal cold, as does ds. he slept for a total of about 4 or 5 hours last night so i am about to desperately try to catch a few winks on the couch. Ugh.

goingfor3 · 13/10/2007 11:06

DLM sorry you and ds aren't feeling great at the moment, you can give each other bigs cuddles to make yourselves feel better.

I got my midwives pack this morning, I have my booking in appointment on thursday morning. They have started doing it reallt early here as they think it's importnat to do the blood work as soon as possible.

Hope you all have a good weekend. DP's parents have taken the kids away for a few hours and we get the pleasure of tidying our house[yawn]!

debinaustria · 13/10/2007 17:43

AAh thanks Dylans mum but we have guests out next week from the UK and they are driving so I 've just discovered I can d a tesco shop online , have it delivered to them and they'll bring it with them. I didn't know then before forumsville - but they're obviously lovely people to offer to do this for us. So off to do my order now!!

tizzwhizz · 14/10/2007 09:22

Hi Everyone

Sorry not been on for a while have felt totally shocking this week and a very pathetic pregnant woman. Ds has had a bad cold and cough so up and down all night. Which I have caught so have been up coughing poor dh think he was ready to smother me with a pillow. I went in spare room, which we then realized wouldnt be able to do in a few months (hopefully). Dont normally let colds get on top of me but just wanted to sleep all day. Poor ds has now started to talk to the tv presenters due to much cbeebies this week. Bless him. Rubbish mother I know but thank goodness for cbeebies.

Have done my best to catch up but sorry if missed anyone. Congrats to Pepperpot - go on share how many tests. I did 8 with ds one and 3 with this one.

Congrats to Gmakes3, Sybilvimes, basilbrush, onetowatch, littlemy34.

How are you Goingfor3? - sorry its been a stressful time.

Lazylou - Dont let work bully you, early pregnancy is stressful enough. They have a legal responsibility to look after yours and babys safety.

Hope everyone else doing ok.

basilbrush · 14/10/2007 11:07

Morning lurvely ladies!

Anyone watch the rugby last night - yay for Johnny!!!!!
(can't help cheering even though I've lived in Scotland for a decade now )

Yesterday morning I burst into tears and told DH I didn't feel PG anymore, then two hours later threw up and almost fainted Boobs are too sore to touch now, am feeling v. happy as the last time they were this bad it was my pregnancy with DS. The last two failed pgs, they never got this bad. Hoping this is a positive sign!

Come on, let's be honest here, who's done more than one hpt??! I have done a grand total of five since Tues 2nd I really need to get a grip and stop now, I could have bought something lovely to wear with all that money!

Deb LUCKY YOU living in Austria . Visited Innsbruck in 2006 and just fell in love with it - it's so clean and sparkly and lovely

nh is it the scan tomorrow??!!! good luck hunny xx

systemsaddict · 14/10/2007 13:08

Hi tizzwhizz - sorry to hear you have been feeling so rough. Lack of sleep and illnesses just intensify the pg symptoms. If it's any help, I am coping much better than I was a couple of weeks ago now dp, ds and I are all over our bugs, I hadn't realised how much worse the lack of sleep was making everything, so hopefully you too will all be feeling better v. soon. And how on earth did our mothers cope in the days before CBeebies???

Welcome pepperpots, good luck tomorrow nh101, glad to hear you have been throwing up / nearly fainting / have agonising boobs basilbrush . I watched 1st half of rugby but then had to go to bed so missed the exciting bits at the end!! Not normally a rugby fan but my dad was a big one so felt I should take an interest in his memory (he passed away while I was pg with ds1 so am thinking / dreaming about him loads at the moment). Will try and watch final - but feel beating Australia and France is really almost like having won it already, whatever happens next week!

sweetbean · 14/10/2007 13:49

SOUTH AFRICAN SUPPORTERS in this house im afraid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sweetbean · 14/10/2007 13:50

i love rugby !!!

Lazylou · 14/10/2007 15:10

Thanks for all your messages of support.

I went to the GP eventually on Friday and he seemed pleased with the way things are progressing. By his reckoning, I'm due on 31 May but I reckon it will be June so is it ok if I stay here?! I asked about having an early scan because of the previous MC and he said because it was so long ago, it would have no effect on this one. So I asked him if I though everything would be ok and he said it would be fine, so even though he doesn't really know, I feel a bit better.

Woke up this morning and don't actually feel pregnant today. Had loads of energy but feel like I've got a cold coming on so starting to feel groggy now. Is this normal to feel like this? I don't want to worry or panic but you know what it's like!

LittleMy34 · 14/10/2007 15:44

Sorry, posted and ran away for the weekend, dead rude of me! thank you for all your nice messages, heading towards the delighted end of things now....!

tizzwhizz · 14/10/2007 15:51

Hi

OOh its good to be back. You're all lovely.

Thanks systemaddict - I personally think that cbeebies as a whole should be presented with some kind of award for services to parenthood.

Good luck with scan tomorrow NH sorry I must have missed it reading through.

Throwing up and nearly fainting thats impressive basilbrush - really pleased for you

Lazylou - glad GP thinks all is well. If the cold appears I have found menthol crystals in hot water and boiling my head until I could stand it no longer really helped. Bit more powerful than vicks in hot water I thought. Note to self and others though remember to close eyes before inhaling otherwise you think you have gone blind. Honey and Lemon also a godsend (not live honey for obvious reasons).

babyalfie · 14/10/2007 15:54

Can i join you nice girls.....

I am 5 weeks now but had lots of bleeding so had an early scan and also had some bloods done. My bloods on Thursday were 2100 and yesterday were 3800 does that seem okay for this stage?

I feel shattered at the momnet and so so tired and just cannot get on with anything.
When i had my scan everything was okay and they could see the egg sac but could not see anything else but they said not to worry as very early on.

If I am 4.5/5 weeks when will my baby be due. Sorry for this but i have had very irregular or no periods lol

Thanks all and i look forward to chatting with you.

tizzwhizz · 14/10/2007 15:56

While looking up any safe cold relievers for pregnancy on internet. I read that your immune system can be lower during pregnancy because the body naturally suppresses it slightly to stop the body rejecting the baby as a foreign body. Hence why a lot of pregnant women can be prone to colds and bugs. So would say it is normal Lazylou.

tizzwhizz · 14/10/2007 15:58

Sorry babyalfie was posting as you did congrats hope things go well. Cant answer about bloods I am afraid.

Lulumama · 14/10/2007 16:00

and best of luck to all of you due in june ladies

tizzwhizz · 14/10/2007 16:21

Sorry babyalfie that was a bit short but ds woke up as I was typing. Try not to worry too much. I am rubbish at working out dates but if you put pregnancy calculator on as a google search there are loads of free ones on net. I think Babycenter might have one cant remember which I used. Only one I found odd was NHS directs. Am sure someone more knowledgeable will be along about bloods soon.
