Hi, I'm due 12th Nov 2020.

how is everyone coping in this isolation. Have you told friends and family yet??
We havent as I have had 2 previous losses so we are waiting but being in isolation is making it feel so lonely and nervous about appointments. I still haven't had my letters from the hospital about my scan/booking app. Has anyone else yet??

Thanks
Jen

I had stopped getting notifications!

I was 10 weeks Thursday, my sickness has eased massively but still get the urge to be sick everyday. My lower back is beginning to hurt and I definitely have a low bloat near my abdomen! Getting nervous now as it's so close to 12 weeks.

Haven't got my scan date yet 🙄 hoping we find out when this week. We aren't going to find out what we're having either as it's our first! X

@millar0709 hopefully you'll start to feel better soon, I'm 13weeks today, and feel much better, inad the occasional wave of sickness but generally feeling better.

Hopefully wont be long till your date comes through. X

Glad your sickness has worn off @magvdamme, I thought mine had gone I had about 5 days sick free, but since Monday it's back again!!

I told my work yesterday about my pregnancy, as I'm 11 weeks Thursday and within 30 minutes and a phone call to HR it would appear I'm off work for the foreseeable future due to being high risk! Fortunately on full pay as it's a company policy - I am gutted in a way but I will feel safer at home. But my work were really happy for me!

Still waiting for my scan date - getting messed about by the midwife department a little. I appreciate the circumstances but they're not contacting when they've said, I've had appointments cancelled 6 times and when I arrived for my bloods last week, they said I wasn't booked in!!

Hope you're all okay xxx

Morning ladies, definitely getting a bump now 🥰 even tho its probably the cakes I'm baking 🤣

Glad your feeling better, I'm 13+3 now and I have bouts of energy then I'm wiped out... we are now managing a 3mile walk in the evenings.

@magvdamme not too long until your scan now??

@millar0709 that's not good them messing you around like that?? Is your appointment in the system?? With mine I didn't receive any letters i just called up and they told me over the phone. I had bloods booking app and scan all on one day xx

I was laughing with my OH as normally I only cook on sundays as I work 6days a week, turns out pregnancy and isolation has turned me in to a proper house wife, I now bake, cook, clean 🤣 I could get used to this. I think going to work is easier tho 🙈

Glad your feeling good... not long now. It was so lovely telling my sisters 🥰

Hope you all have a great week X

I'm finding it really hard being off work. It's been almost 6 weeks now - I told them the day before the uk guidelines came out, as we were getting a lot of covid patients, and sometimes without any warning. I had been told that they were probably going to start setting up some remote working, but still nothing. x

@Becca65 I know what you mean, I think when your always busy it's hard then to do nothing... I miss the interaction with my clients the laughs, but I'm always grateful that I've been able to be sick, nap and stay in my PJs for this 1st trimester, I imagine once my energy levels are back up I'm going to be climbing the walls 🙈

@snowboard14 I can't get through to speak to anyone! I called the antenatal today and no answer..send emails etc. I called my GP couldn't help, I even have called the hospital where I'm meant to have a scan and they couldn't tell me anything. It's making me worrying more than it should, just feels like bad news.

How far in advance did you all know about your scans? 11 weeks tomorrow..so hoping to have heard by now!

Please we all seem to be at home resting! I'm going to need to find a new hobby, my husband is working from home so v.busy! I've never not been at work since I was 16! So it's going to be feel strange. Have a feeling I won't go back though. X x

@millar0709

Completely understand I've always worked and always done 60hr a week. It's been tough being home... I've bought crafty bits on amazon and been baking loads.

I phoned at 10 weeks to find out when my appointment was as I hadn't heard anything. My hospital has a dedicated booking appointment line so was easy to get through. Maybe try ringing the main hospital and get put through to the right department, you might get an answer then?? Xx

@magvdamme congratulations! And yes after a lot of chasing, my local antenatal clinic hadn't forwarded any details to the hospital that's why I hadn't heard anything! But the hospital have resolved it and my scan is Thursday at 2pm.

I'm really nervous, I'm guessing this is normal to be! Xx

Hey can I join? These another thread for November babies but it's so busy I can't keep up.

I'm 13+2, and due 17th November. This is my first baby and I've found myself feeling really anxious through the whole first trimester. How has everyone's appointments been? I've seen some people say they haven't had any face to face midwife appointments yet... I've actually had 2 in person and one consultant appointment over the phone.

@Lulubon hi lovely what a great scan picture!! I think it's really depending on what area you are in. I've had the same as you face to face and my consultant appt is over the phone next week. Definitely an anxious time and completely normal to feel that way but feel free to ask any questions or share anything on here, ❤️❤️

Hi @Lulubon Congratulations... lovely scan photo.
Think the first 12 weeks are tough anyway then with covid thrown in to the mix... its definitely been a worrying time... I've had my appointments face to face too, but my 16week will be a phone call. Then from 20weeks it's all face to face again.
Cant wait for my next scan, it's amazing seeing them on the screen isn't it... xx

@magvdamme how are you feeling now??

@millar0709 how did your scan go ??

How's the baking going xx

@magvdamme completely get the hayfever!! I'm trying to have a bit of local honey everyday but doesnt seem to stop my sneezing fits.. can you take anything for hayfever?? Was going to ask the midwife??

Baking is good, I'm currently make bread for my neighbour in exchange for her homemaker cookies 😂 also just ordered an icecream maker 🙈 not sure if there is a baby or just bread and icecream 😂
Are you keeping busy?? Have you been baking much?? Xx

@magvdamme thank you, I drank so much water in hope haha! Yeah find it so strange how much it seems to differ. Thank you, so kind.

@Snowboard14 thank you, it really has been. I've found it really hard not seeing family when all I need is a nice cuppa with my mum haha. Interesting about your appointments too, I know I'm defiantly seeing my consultant after my 20 week scan and then from there, after 28 weeks I'll see them monthly as well as monthly scans. I just hope by then life is more normal!
oh same its so special to see them!

How is everyone doing?
Has anyone had a face to face 16 week appointment? Mines in 2 days and I'm wondering if they'll use the Doppler?
Also is anyone else still being sick? I'm 15+5 and still vomiting minimum 5-6 times a week still...
Hope you're all enjoying the nice weather x

BelieveItCanHappen · 31/05/2020 13:43

@Lulubon hi ! I had my 16 app 2 weeks ago and yes they did use a Doppler. Heartbeat was going strong 😊😊 also, don't worry about the sickness. Mine only eased when I reached my 16th week. Good luck xx
