Brazilianmum · 06/09/2007 13:57

I'm watching a re-run of Kitchen nightmares and the last one was in Scotland, he was getting changed into a kilt and his chef top was so short you could almost see too much. Maybe you can have a look on youtube and they might have it.

Brazilianmum · 06/09/2007 13:59

I was thinking the other day that we've all gone very very quiet on the meeting up in London talk. I think we last said that it would be nice to meet sometime in September so if we are going t do this let's get some plans together, now that MS has gone and we are all a little more energetic.

iliketosleep · 06/09/2007 14:02

i saw it that one

tori32 · 06/09/2007 14:05

I fancy meeting in london. A saturday would be good because I cm mon to fri. Also will take a few hours to get there.

derah · 06/09/2007 14:07

Brazillianmum - you're right, we should start making plans. I think we were talking about the end of September since most people would have had their scans by then. But it's never too early to start making plans. So let's start with a day... most of us work so I think a weekend might be easiest. Sat 29th or Sun 30th? Though I can't make 29th (and the chaos begins....).

There's always the first week in October.... Sat 6th or Sun 7th?

I'll let others decide where though the more to the west (and closer to Waterloo) the better for me!

I have to confess that I'm also finding 'normal' looking guys all of a sudden very sexy - have got a wee thing for Roy Keane at the moment even though normally he isn't my type!

tori32 · 06/09/2007 14:16

My DH just gets back from a course on 5th Oct so 6th or 7th OK for me so don't need tobring dd. I will drive from dorset, park in windsor and get the train in from there.

glammama · 06/09/2007 14:25

Wondered how long it would be before we started the sexy men conversation. I think I need to confess that ever since I saw him host Have I Got News For You I have harboured a serious crush on this sexy bugger Imagine how horrified I was to find out that he's running for Mayor! I have voted for Ken every time and have never voted Tory but I don't think I can trust myself not to put a big sloppy X on the ballot paper. I'll have to stay away and deny all the Pankhursts' and other Suffragettes' sacrifices!
As for meeting up my DD goes to her Dad's every other weekend so I'd like to meet up on one of those dates. For me it means I can do 29/30 Sept or 13/14 Oct. Let's get a date first and then sort out the location. What does everyone think? Should we have a separate thread for the meet up? I can sort that if you like. I don't want to get on with my work, can you tell?

Brazilianmum · 06/09/2007 14:29

I can do 6 or 7 Oct. As for location, we were talking about Patisserie Valerie in Soho or Pauls in Covent Garden. Both quite central and walking distance from Waterloo and Charing Cross

iliketosleep · 06/09/2007 14:35

right all im off now [scared emoticon] see you all later

skidoodle · 06/09/2007 14:56

I can do 29th/30th weekend as I should be in London then. Any other weekend I will be a plane ride away, so not really going to happen. So if that day suits yay, if not, no worries.

best of luck iliketosleep, hope it all goes well.

What is it with pregnant ladies and Gordon Ramsay? I remember him coming up in an earlier such conversation Although the Roy Keane thing makes me wonder if there's a preference for aggressive, macho kind of men.

PurlyQueen · 06/09/2007 15:21

The only weekends I definitely can't do are the first two in October as DH and I will be on our last holiday as a couple.

derah · 06/09/2007 15:23

Thinking of you iliketosleep!! I really hope to hear happy news later on.

Hi everyone, sorry I havent posted here much recently. Just wanted to say hi and that I had my 12 week scan on Tuesday. Everything was fine.

Glammama I also fancy Boris and watched "The uncut Boris HIGNFU" last night. Entertainment at its best.

Im off on holiday so I'll be AWOL again for awhile

glammama · 06/09/2007 15:35

Hiya Winkgirl Congratulations on your scan. I can't believe I missed a programme on Boris last night. What channel was it on? Might try and download it from torrent. I'm very glad to have company with the Boris thing although technically I suppose you are my love rival. You know, I bet there are a lot of us out there, at least you and I are brave enough to shout it lout oud and proud. Sorry, came over a bit Gay Rights then!

glammama · 06/09/2007 15:35

sorry meant to say winkYgirl !!

glammama · 06/09/2007 15:36

Crikey, my typing. I meant to type shout it out loud and proud! And I blooming proof read it!

WinkyGirl · 06/09/2007 15:38

Glammama sorry it was on a dvd we have. It was the classic "give that man a coconut" episode. LOL at love rival comment. We could share - theres more then enough there! I was reading an article about Boris once and said outloud "oh damn, Boris is married." To which DH replied "so are you for christs sake." Ooops.

glammama · 06/09/2007 15:51

Winkygirl, when you say there's more than eough there, was that a reference to him being particularly well endowed? Because frankly I think that's a bit kinky for an antenatal thread Maybe we could start a fan club on mumsnet so that we don't run the risk of annoying DPs and DHs. LOl at what your DH said! Men take things so seriously Boris is married but I don't believe that has stopped him sowing his wild oats, allegedly with a woman named Petronella allegedly . But I'm sure you knew that being such a fan. I promise not to hijack this thread anymore with all things Boris related but there is just something about that man!
