Hi everyone

Hyperactive toddlers, I am completely with you on that Turtle23 and am getting worried about how on earth I will cope as I get even huger.

At the moment it is all stress in our household with a 12 year old tweenager and a 2 year old health and safety hazard. Have just had a shouting match with said 12 year old before school and 2 year old has destroyed every room in the house once again. Yesterday my toddler refused to hold my hand crossing the road and i had to carry him screaming and kicking.
What a haven of calm and tranquility for my forthcoming homebirth!

To top it all I have 2 weeks in which to finish my masters dissertation. I hopefully will be posting a bit more after that!

Am having 21 week scan today, hopefully the stress won't show in the baby!

Good luck to all the other scan mummies today.
xxx

oops I am due in January! Have just posted on the wrong one!
hallo anyway March ladies and good luck!

HolidaysQueen · 06/09/2007 08:58

Good luck mum2sons and anyone else having scans today. I'm having mine this afternoon so I'll give you my news this evening. I'm fortunately really excited rather than nervous, but not sure how I'll get through a morning of work!!!

I had a dream last night that my scan showed that we were having triplets. I freaked and turned to my husband, who wasn't my husband at all but a terrifying Marco Pierre White!!! Clearly watching Hell's Kitchen before collapsing into bed the night before a scan is a very bad idea...

I told DH this morning about the triplets dream and he just said "Yeah, but surely they can't tell if there is more than one baby until much later on anyway". When I informed him we could be coming home this evening knowing there is more than one baby in there, he went very very white

HolidaysQueen · 06/09/2007 08:59

mum2sons - I read 21 weeks and just assumed it was typo for 12 weeks Good luck today anyway!!!

skidoodle · 06/09/2007 09:59

best of luck HolidaysQueen, I'm sure it will be great. It's nice that you're not nervous. For some reason I had convinced myself there wasn't really a baby in there at all, so was a bit freaked out. Was so nice to see a little swimming-about fella in there.

I don't know what I was imagining they'd say "yeah, nice try lady. you're just getting to be a fatso all on your own."

I got 3 pictures from the scan too, which was so nice. They are just little ones for the file. Maybe that means I won't get to keep them but I have them for the moment.

derah · 06/09/2007 09:59

Morning ladies!

Thinking of you today, iliketosleep - are you going to the docs/mw or for a scan?

Wiggly bean thoughts to all of you going for scans today.

I'm pleased to report that I finally made it to my aqua-natal class last night. Yay! It was lovely to get some exercise, and the lady taking the class is the daughter of the lady who took the classes I went to last time around. She's just as mean as her mum when it comes to making you work hard! Anyway, nice to meet some other expectant ladies, but they were all at least 20 weeks so I felt a bit like the 'baby' of the class! But my bump is already bigger than one of the girls who is 20 weeks so I really need to cut down on those cakes!

hi all,

Im off to the doctors in half an hour so will have to see how it goes from there! Im a bit confused at the pattern of it, it went something like this....

Went to make my bed yesterday morning and discovered 3 red patches on the sheets, thought it couldnt be me! (have become a knicker watcher) as i hadnt bled the day before and i wasnt yesterday morning. Later on in the day i went to the loo and there was a brown stained discharge again but i didnt need a towel. At 7 last night i went to the toilet to discover a bright red patch, so i put a towel on and an hour later there was quite a bit in it, put fresh one on before i went to bed and at 4am again there was quite alot on. Woke at 7 and i hadent bled anymore, went to the toilet at about 8:30 and there was a brown stined discharge!! havent bled anymore today. Its so confusing!!!!!!!!

Im begining to wonder if its because when im in bed i sleep on my belly with my arm underneath me and during the day i wear my jeans which i will admit are to tight for me (blush) and maybe that puts some kind of pressure on my uterus making me bleed

Oh well ill lewt you all know when i get back

AnguaVonUberwald · 06/09/2007 10:45

Yay, second scan today, hoping the little one is big enough for the nucal fold test this time!!!

Likestosleep - I will be thinking of you today, fingers crossed for you, I hope everything is ok.

iliketosleep · 06/09/2007 11:25

hi, back from docs and she has basically said i have as good as lost it got a scan at 3

skidoodle · 06/09/2007 11:34

oh no iliketosleep, that's heartbreaking

iliketosleep · 06/09/2007 11:37

I just dont understand how a perfectly healthy baby can just go like that in 2 days??? Its not fair or maybe i will be lucky and it will still be there but im just numb to it all at the moment!

glammama · 06/09/2007 11:44

oh no, ilike to sleep. I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. You have been on a rollercoaster the last few weeks. I'm sending you [hugs]] as O don't know what else to say.
Glam x

monthlymayhem · 06/09/2007 11:53

Ilikeltosleep - am keeping everything crossed for you and sending big hugs xxx

Good luck holidaysqueen and Angua with the scans today too!

iliketosleep · 06/09/2007 12:05

thanks, i dont really wanna go, im not clock watching like i was on monday. Oh well until i know whats what im gonna keep smiling oh and eatting the big bag of maltesers i just brought myself

glammama · 06/09/2007 12:19

Here's something to smile at..... Last night I had the most erotic dream about one of my colleagues. Now I'm having to sit behind him and I feel so embarassed. I keep replaying the dream (involuntarily, I hasten to add) and I just cannot concentrate on the heaps of work I have. The dream was so raunchy I woke up feeling like I'd been unfaithful to DP and had to confess all. Have had no daydreams about this person before but now I'm seeing him in an all new sexy light. I'm sure he can see my cheeks burning!
oh and btw, the Atimel doesn't work anymore

papaya · 06/09/2007 12:20

so sorry to hear what your going through liketosleep, thinking of you and truly hoping everything goes ok for you at your scan xx

glammama · 06/09/2007 12:43

I'm sure a Freudian psychoanalyst would have a field day with our dreams at the mo!

iliketosleep · 06/09/2007 12:49

oh and so i was told the other night i sat bolt upright in bed with my eyes wide open and said to dp "did you see my fire engine" he said no lol i said "i put the water out" he said oh really i lay back down and said "do you think its funny?" he said no then i laughed and shut up hehehe i wet myself when he told me!!!

imjin100 · 06/09/2007 13:08

ILiketosleep, good luck at 3.00, will be thinking of you and sending you big support. Totally confusing for you - good luck and try to enjoy the maltesers... Won't ask you to share today, you need them all....

tori32 · 06/09/2007 13:11

iliketosleep So sorry about your bleeding, its awful and all I can do is say I wish I could come with you and hold your hand and give you a big squeeze.

All other dreamers I have been spared this time, but last time I had terrible dreams of first having a doppler heamorrhoid op (because I had assisted with 10 that day! Also I was constipated and believed I could end up needing one sorry if TMI!! Also I dreamt I was having a laparoscopic hernia repair!! Weirdo
Oh and DH was not amused because in the dreams I kept'passing instruments' and wacking him in the face.

tori32 · 06/09/2007 13:13

turtle forgot to ask you which bit of the country you are in? Sometimes I come up to the north of England (definately in the next 6 mths) So I could perhaps meet you with it.

iliketosleep · 06/09/2007 13:15

Dp grabs a handful of maltesers evertime he walks past me someones looking for a slap!!

lmao tori sounds like something i would do just not in my sleep

thanks all for your support again!

Brazilianmum · 06/09/2007 13:24

Ilike - my thoughts are with you. Lot's of positive vibes going your way.

On the weird dreams front, I had a dream I was having dinner with Gordon Ramsay and saying that the pork I was eating at his restaurant wasn't as good one I had recently eaten at Smiths (where I went for dinner a few days before).

Also last night I watched 28 weeks later with DP and dreamed about zombies the whole night. Kept waking up and cuddling up to DP to feel safe. Mental note to self - must not watch horror movies again. I'm such a wuss.
