Hi, thought I'd start a new thread. Hope ou find this OK!

Just been shopping downtown and bought a fab paid of maternity pants for work.

Also bought "The Baby Name Wizard" as Borders were having 20% off everything. Feel free anyone to ask me a question about names now!! The book categorises them into the following "style families" (chances are if you like one name in the family, you'll like a number of others - e.g. I tend to go for "Antique Charm" names for girls which include Abigail, Adeline, AMelia, Anna. Annabel, Annalise, Ava, Bella, Clara, Daisy, Eleanor, Emma, Eva, Georgia, Grace, Hannah and Isabel):
African, Androgynous, Antique Charm, Bell tones, Biblical, Brisk and Breezy, Celtic, Charms and Graces, Country and Western, English, The -ens, Exotic Traditionals, Fanciful, French, German, Greek, Guys and Dolls, Italian, Jewish, Lacy and Lissome, Ladies and Gentlemen, Last Names First, Latino, Little Darlings, Long Gone, Mid-Century, Modern Meanings, Muslim, Mythological, Namesakes, New Classics, Nickname-Proof, Place-Names, Porch-Sitters, Saints, Scandanavian, '70s and '80s, Shakespearean, Slavic, Solid Citizens, Surfer Sixties, Timeless and Why Not?

MotherofZ - at least Charles and Camilla replied.

MotherofZ · 28/08/2007 13:51

MM - with you on the potty training bit, going to wait a few months before starting the whole potty training thing.

About that letter to Ryan Giggs - I'm sure I told him what a brilliant footballer he was how much I was in love with him (do you think that's why he never replied??? )

mixedmama · 28/08/2007 13:59

MoZ - could have sent a generic reply. I think that is OUT OF ORDER

MotherofZ · 28/08/2007 14:07

To this day, I am still feeling quite hurt..... stupid Ryan bloody Giggs!!

skidaddle · 28/08/2007 14:10

motherofz - sounds like you still have a bit of a soft spot for him

MotherofZ · 28/08/2007 14:16

NOT!!

Mrswizz · 28/08/2007 14:32

I don't give a toss about Diana either. She was just a sloaney bint who happened to be pretty so her image sold papers. OK so she did a lot of work for charidee - so she bleedin should with all that time, profile and money.

MY LEFT BREAST IS REALLY HURTING

but as it's on the left, i don't know if it's my heart.

I mean, I know my breasts are a-changing, but would it just be painful on one side?

My nips are ever so itchy, especially when i take my bra off at the end of the day. am being careful not to scratch. I am slapping on enough cream/oil stuff on them and my tummy but was wondering at what point stretch marks were going to appear? Anyone got a crystal ball?! And tummy is feeling a bit itchy too, i guess that is the skin stretching?

mixedmama · 28/08/2007 15:11

I dont actually think she was that pretty - not a moose or anything, but really didnt get the whole beautiful thing at all.

Neuro - not sure about boobs and stretchmarks, they just come when they come. I get itchiness as well.

Neuro · 28/08/2007 15:19

compared to a lot of the Royals i suppose she was beautiful, but in reality she wasn't. I think when young she had a certain prettiness about her, but

OH NO I AM TALKING ABOUT HER

MotherofZ · 28/08/2007 15:19

Not sure about boob pains - are you wearing a correctly fitted bra??? Or maybe it is just changes?? I've read somewhere that if you get excessive itchiness you should see your m/w.

mixedmama · 28/08/2007 15:23

I suppose in comparison to the rest. I just didnt "get" the grieving that the nation done. My grandma passed aaway exactly a week before so perhaps I was busy with that - it just seems strange.

cazzybabs · 28/08/2007 15:28

My itchy nipples seem to have stoppped being itchy thank goodness! But I can sympathise. Mine also hurt from time to time too!

Neuro · 28/08/2007 15:29

Nor me. I think the crowds that turn up to Royal deaths and queue with 500000 other people and buy shit souvenirs and utter shite are just dimwits really. I mean, WHY???? if you don't know someone personally how can you be so upset.

I do remember seeing it on the news though as i'd not long been home from a night out. The only thing that made me feel sad was seeing the two princes on the tv, only from point of view of two kids losing their mum and being forced to go out in public. that was bad.

Don't think the pain is to do with my bra. I'm about to buy a new batch anyway as nearly outgrown the current ones.

I think it might be palpitations as i've gone over my 1 coffee a day limit.

mixedmama · 28/08/2007 15:39

My breasts have not grown at all... in fact they seem smaller - so unfair.

MotherofZ · 28/08/2007 15:42

mine are heading down
S
O
U
T
H

cazzybabs · 28/08/2007 15:42

mixedmama - I have enough breasts for both of us!

MotherofZ · 28/08/2007 15:47

I really don't want to end up being one of those women whose boobs comes down to thier stomachs!!!
I'll be racing for those super uplift Wonder Bra after this baby is born...

mixedmama · 28/08/2007 16:06

I am quite lucky really - they are already an ample size, so i dont really want them to get bigger anyway - but still, why are everyone elses????

mixedmama · 28/08/2007 16:20

Neuro - lovely little Diana thread for you.

Mrswizz · 28/08/2007 16:47

Mixedmama- my gran was dieing in hospital while the nurses were watching the Diana thing on the telly. I'll always remember staying the night in hospital with her it was surreal and the telly was on with constant rolling Diana news all night.

Thank goodness my boobs haven't grown for a while, they were ample to start with. Went up 2 sizes in the first few weeks then seemed to stop. Hopefully that's it until the milk starts. Am sure they will be tilers nailbags when feeding stops.

Neuro · 28/08/2007 17:58

well i used to have 'arty tits' as one ex bf kindly put it. the kind that can wear a t shirt or vest without a bra.
Now it looks like i've had breast implants. Not quite Pamela Anderson yet, but wondering what's gonna happen when the milk arrives.
It's quite fun being chesty, but i'm worried that i'm going to have fried eggs by end of next year!

mixedmama · 28/08/2007 18:05

DH loved my BF breats, unfortunately for him they were not for his use. Bra firmly on at all times.

thelady · 28/08/2007 19:55

Mixedmama: I phoned the DWP and got a wifie who basically read me the details of the webpage. Aaargh. Useless! She's sending me the forms, and I'll try and wade through them on my own.

Bouncingturtle · 28/08/2007 21:13

Buzzybee - I bought a bathtime set with baby bath, top and tail bowl, sponge, cuddle robe, bath temp guage and changing mat. Cot and changing table we'll buy from Ikea.
Have finished painting nursery, looks lovely!!

I see your sore breasts and raise you a sore back
