I haven't, but don't know if it would just give the game away at work? Then again at this rate I'll end up telling them anyway, I must look green ha!

MsMiaWallace · 12/11/2019 15:35

Had my booking appointment today.
It went well! Scan is 6th Dec!

I use sickness bands they def help, my nausea is on the up today, its so frustrating. Tiredness is up again today but i am on my feet all day as i run a salon & try sit between each client.

Nukins · 12/11/2019 16:24

Hi all @QforCucumber I feel exactly the same..... 9+3 🤢 always everyday around 3pm for a few hours 🙈 spinny head and just yuk! (Hard on school run) this is baby no.3 for me! I was exactly the same time of day wise with the nausea with both the others at this time of day but I'm sure it's more intense this time feels worse!!! Been trying the bands but I'm not convinced they're helping? Hope you feel better soon!
@Zoey92 im a beauty therapist and feel your pain hard when on your feet all day! My scan is 2nd Dec feels forever away!!!!!

Chaosonthehorizon · 12/11/2019 17:25

Hey Nukins I’m on number 3 too (fingers crossed) have had some bad school run experiences in the mornings but everything seems to have eased off. Got my harmony test at the end of the week so at least will know whether there is anything in there! Look 5 mths in the evenings though!😱

AmyMaria2 · 12/11/2019 18:04

At my booking appointment I found out I'm a negative blood type.. I've got to have quite a few anti D injections throughout my pregnancy, and if I have any spotting or bleeding I have to go in for a scan and injection straight away, has anyone had this in any previous pregnancy's or this one??

10+4

Zoey92 · 12/11/2019 18:25

Im rhesus negative but was told id not need an anti D injection untill further along, was no mention of going in when spotting etc @AmyMaria2

Zoey92 · 12/11/2019 18:36

Anyone else really restless, honestly i cannot sit/lay still same time everynight

AmyMaria2 · 12/11/2019 18:53

Hey @Zoey92 ah maybe they do things differently in different areas, I've got to have my first anti D at 14 weeks, and she said if there's any spotting or bleeding I have to go in straight away as it could mean my bodies rejecting the baby x

Zoey92 · 12/11/2019 20:27

Oh god dont say that, that worrys me 😐 I'm going to give my midwife a ring tomorrow cause thats freaked me out

AmyMaria2 · 12/11/2019 21:05

@Zoey92 yeah ask your midwife about it, that's what mine said too me, it frightened me as well, I haven't had any spotting so far so hoping all stays well x

Chaosonthehorizon · 12/11/2019 21:37

AmyMaria2 Rhesus negative and on baby number 3, all fine, just make sure you definitely get anti D after birth as they can be very busy on the postnatal wards. But my hospital now offers a test on the NHS that finds out the babies rhesus status which can rule out the need for the anti D if they are negative. Will be having this. Worth asking about it.

AmyMaria2 · 12/11/2019 21:58

@Chaosonthehorizon ah thank you I will do, I'll also ask midwife about the test, that would be really useful if baby was the same! x

MissisBee · 12/11/2019 22:12

Hello, haven't caught up for a few days.
I'm rhesus negative too. I think I had 2 injections during pregnancy. Don't actually remember if I got it postnatally, or if they told me DS's blood group. There was so much else going on, it wasn't in my head space and may well have happened but I don't remember.
Lots of discharge here too...
Nausea has really increased since the end of last week and struggling quite a bit, especially in the evenings. Also had a migraine this morning, which is funny cos I had one at the exact same stage with DS. I'm telling everyone in work this week, cos I can't be bothered trying to keep it quiet. They've all been lovely.

Is everyone having or had the flu vaccination?

AmyMaria2 · 13/11/2019 00:14

@MissisBee thank you, and I'm glad everyone at works being lovely, it's much easier not having to hide it!

@MsMiaWallace I'm planning on having the flu jab just worried it will give me the flu, are you having it?

10+5

Smiffette · 13/11/2019 06:00

I had it a few weeks ago and was absolutely fine. I'm asthmatic too so usually have it free every year.

Chaosonthehorizon · 13/11/2019 08:27

Have had the flu jab, all fine, also asthmatic too. Understand it actually can’t give you the flu. Btw with the rhesus negative thing only 1/3 of babies are negative so more likely you will need the anti d but although it can hurt to have it, it is absolutely fine and to my mind we don’t have a choice anyway as the possible consequences of not having it are too awful to contemplate

Lemonysherbet · 13/11/2019 08:36

I've had the flu jab, it was fine, just gave me a dead arm for a day so not bad at all! How is everyone feeling? Touch wood my nausea has eased off a little. I'm even making it in to work on time!

Less than a week until my 12 week scan, I'm so anxious but trying not to think about it so time doesn't go too slowly.

I need a hand hold 😢 I've been bleeding the last few days. Having an early scan at epu tomorrow or the day after. Just seen gp and she tried to reassure me but can't help fearing the worst. I've been crying my eyes out for 2 days now.

MsMiaWallace · 13/11/2019 10:12

@Vio112 thinking of you x

Cornishbumpkin · 13/11/2019 11:49

Oh @Vio112 sending you the biggest of virtual hugs and hand holds.

@Lemonysherbet it makes me so happy to hear there is light at the end of the tunnel, my nausea and vomiting has meant I've been in bed for two days as meds stopped working 😩

I give flu jabs at my work so have done training about them, they cannot give you flu as they are inactivated viruses. It tends to be a coincidence when people get ill after the jab ie they were going to get ill anyway. We looked at the flu incidence graph from Australia as we usually get what they had and they have had almost triple the cases that they had last year so definitely get the flu jab if you can as there's potentially guna be a lot around this year and you don't want to be getting it whilst pregnant.

Zoey92 · 13/11/2019 14:03

Had another scan today all is well 8+4 measuring, going to try stop stressing out and enjoy till my next scan in 4wks

MissisBee · 13/11/2019 14:18

@Vio112 hope everything's ok
Got my flu jab before I'd found out I was pregnant actually, get it every year. It won't give you the flu (but you may have some mild flu-like symptoms), pregnant women are at high risk of serious complications of flu, and rates are predicted to be high this year, so I would encourage you all to get it.
Feeling slightly better today than yesterday, so far, really tired though.
