@MrsD20 lucky with the sickness, I hope it doesn't start at all for you! That's so annoying about the person at work, someone at my work asked me outright 'are you pregnant' but I just lied and no one else was around. Hopefully they don't ask again or go on about it xx

@mrsD20 oh that's a bit inconsiderate of them. At least you styled it out. Someone walked in on me throwing up in the toilets today and I just told them outright because I'm sick of lying!

Had a really hard day, couldn't stop throwing up at work and got quite upset. Went home around lunch time, not thrown up since I got home but still feeling so sick.

When does everyone have their 12 week scans? Mines a week Tuesday (18th Nov) when I should be 12+1. It feels like it's taking so long to get here.

I think it will be a relief to be able to be honest with people though.

Will you all wait until your screening results before you tell people or just wait for the scan to give the ok?

RPPs · 07/11/2019 05:33

@Lemonysherbet I didn't realise that we wouldn't get them on the same day. Eeeek.

Regarding people in work asking. It is so inconsiderate. Not only does it dampen your big annoucement but imagine youd just put on weight. Last Christmas I was cutting down on drink to improve my chances or getting pregnant, so when I got to the restaurant I asked for water, also because the options were cheap wine or beer. When a colleague spotted the water he got up in front of my 20 colleagues and made a dramatic dash to shake my hand. I was raging. Not only had I just had a MC a few months early but I wasn't getting pregnant easily. I was mortified and just told him to F off. Luckily the 2 girls at my table showed an equal disapproval and later told me they'd both had failed rounds of IVF and understood how unkind his behaviour was.
I'm already trying to come up with reasons not to go on a work night out in 2 weeks because I can't use the sober October excuse anymore.

Zoey92 · 07/11/2019 07:28

Morning all, god I'm struggling to get up this morning mind 😂 day 4 of next to no nausea 🤞🤞 but the bloating & wind has ramped up 🤦‍♀️ xx

AndddddHerewegoagain · 07/11/2019 15:38

@MrsD20 i didn't have any sickness with my first. This time round is making up for it!

Glad others are finding clothes are starting to get to tight! Again with my first i wasn't even considering maternity clothes until 16 weeks! Had to get them all down from the loft last night after spending yesterday in a baggy jumper with my top button undone Blush

@Lemonysherbet I have it on Monday 18th November as well. I'm looking forward to getting a proper final due date then.

QforCucumber · 07/11/2019 17:00

Hi all, I'm in (I think) booking appointment this afternoon I'm 8+4 as far as I'm aware. this is my 4th Pregnancy but I only have 1 DS who will be 4 in March. 1st was a MMC at 8+1 in 2014, Then DS in 2016, Got to 13 weeks in April this year and thoguh scan showed baby moving and a heartbeat it also showed baby was awfully poorly (3% chance of survival to birth) and so we made the decision to terminate. Fingers crossed all well this time around, Feel like we deserve this one.

Sorry to downer you all - but HI :)

LillianFullStop · 07/11/2019 17:01

@MrsD20 that's terrible of them! I would be so mad!

As far as drinks last time I got away with it by ordering fake G&Ts at the bar "can I get a G&T without the gin?" Grin meant I had to go and order my own drinks though and was a bit sick of lime and tonic by the end.

This time around I held a glass of champagne around and occasionally touched it to my lips. My friend who knew was a bit perplexed so I had to say - oh it's just a prop! Wink

Clothes are still ok in the morning but my afternoon the bloat is impossible I had to undo the buttons on my jeans just so I could breathe!

Midwife appointment is tomorrow.

Zoey92 · 07/11/2019 17:12

I have been majorly bloated all day im so uncomfortable 🤦‍♀️

peetieswie · 07/11/2019 17:40

Had scan today. I'm 7+2 and all looked normal and baby has a heart beat ♥️

peetieswie · 07/11/2019 17:42

@qforcucumber sounds like you've had a hard time of it! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Ffswhytho · 07/11/2019 17:46

Hi everyone, mind if I join please? I found out I’m expecting about a month ago and haven’t had the best time with it! I’m getting my head around it now though and am due June 17th/19th depending on which app I’m on. This is number 5 for me :)

AmyMaria2 · 07/11/2019 17:50

@LillianFullStop good idea about having the drink as a prop, I might have to use that next week at a family party!

Glad your scan was good @peetieswie, can't wait for my next one

Am freaking out abit as my nausea has pretty much gone, boobs are no where near as sore either. Am i over thinking too much 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

AndddddHerewegoagain · 07/11/2019 18:45

I can't tag you @Zoey92 but just wanted to reassure you that i had this a couple of weeks ago and was super worried.

The next day I threw up in the park 🤦‍♀️

I think its all dependent on hormone levels/ surge/ work stress/ food. Xx

Cca7 · 07/11/2019 18:59

Bit late to the thread! I'm exactly 7 weeks today, due late June. First baby and beyond exhausted. I have never slept this much in my life. Anyone else's sense of smell off the scale too?

Zoey92 · 07/11/2019 19:10

@andddddherewegoagain I've ate alot more since nausea eased & i have had to come off multivitamin & just take folic supplement alone as they made me physically sick
Cramps have upped abit since Sunday & bloating today is ridiculous today

Zoey92 · 07/11/2019 19:11

@Cca7 my sense of smell was ridiculous 2weeks ago 😂 everything smelt disgusting im 7+3

Ffswhytho · 07/11/2019 19:17

@Cca7 I’m pregnant with my 5th, and I’ve noticed in previous pregnancy’s that my sense of smell was heightened but it’s off the chart this time! Every time my toddler fills her nappy it’s made me throw up whilst changing her, thankfully whenever OH is home he does them all at the moment! It will ease off soon hopefully x

peetieswie · 07/11/2019 20:12

@cca7 also absolutely knackered. Already in bed as I'm shattered. I'm worried I'm going to put on tonnes of weight as I'm not moving much. Also sense of smell is super strong too.

AmyMaria2 · 08/11/2019 12:17

Sickness a lot better, eating a lot better. Just can't find a drink I can stomach now! Flavoured water is the only thing that's okay at the moment, at least I'm finally 10 weeks!

QforCucumber · 08/11/2019 15:52

Oh I need fizz in all my drinks at the moment, probably completely rotting my teeth but hell, if it stops me being sick I don't care ha!

Hope everyone is feeling ok today, Booking appointment went ok last night - bit of a nuisance as was a community midwife who didn't have any of my history so had to explain everything to her (yesterday would have been my due date too argh) got a bit tearful by the end of it. Why aren't maternity notes online?!

Lemonysherbet · 08/11/2019 17:38

@zoey92 my nausea has eased off the last 2 days too. I'm enjoying the break but also worrying, as apart from bloat I don't feel very pregnant!

10+4

Zoey92 · 08/11/2019 18:08

@lemonysherbet 5 days of very little nausea now, i get a little wave of it now an then nothing extreme, appetite has picked up, boobs are not as sore and my fluid intake has upped, i had to change from multivitamin to just folic acid as they completely turned on me. I feel the same though apart from the I'm laying on setee now bloated to hell 😂

faybe0988 · 08/11/2019 18:47

Hello all!! Just looking for a bit of reassurance I think. I am pregnant with my first baby, when I had my first midwife appointment, she dated me at around 12 weeks so put me forward for a scan- when I went for my scan yesterday the sonographer told me that I was measuring at around 8+2 (I saw the little heart beating which was very reassuring) so have to go back in 4 weeks time. I used flo app to track period, ovulation etc and that puts me at around 9 weeks. (I never thought I was 12 weeks, but you have to trust the professionals!) I’m just so confused, has anyone else had experience of this or something similar. I’m very anxious about the whole thing, which I’m sure is normal- but I really don’t want to worry myself silly about literally everything as I’m sure it’s not good for me- or baby! Thanks in advance!
