Is anyone else due in Jan 2020? My dates are a bit iffy 🤣 but I’m either due 30/12 or 2/1. Baby number 4 ( I swear we were stopping at 1). 🤣

Missmonkeypenny congratulations!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 04/05/2019 15:50

Anyone else's cramps just keep coming and going? They eased off last few days and today it's in my abdomen and back!

MrsH497 · 04/05/2019 15:54

@Victoriaaaaaaaa yeah all my symptoms seem to come and go. Feel ok today so far

Bentley111 · 04/05/2019 16:22

Congrats @Missmonkeypenny 👏🏼👏🏼

Hi! Joining here after recommendation on the BFP jan 2020 board. So exciting to be amongst all of you lovely ladies who’re sharing the same crazy rollercoaster of emotions at the moment!

We had recently been referred to the fertility clinic after TTC for a year. My periods since coming off contraception were very light, very short and very infrequent (at least 40 days) and I had never achieved a positive ovulatIon test so both I and my GP had assumed things weren’t going to work out. As I’m 35 I was fortunate enough to be referred on pretty quickly but literally the evening after I had posted back my forms to the fertility clinic to kick off treatment I received a very unexpected BFP! I was only really testing as a matter of routine, having been so used to big fat nothings it was a big big surprise and I’ve been feeling somewhat in shock ever since! My DH wondered what on earth was up when I called him and he found me sat shaking like a leaf! I had a negative test around a week prior so by my estimate think my due date would probably be around 8th January? I used a clear blue test which stated 1-2 wks pregnant, not sure how accurate these are?

Missmonkeypenny · 04/05/2019 17:07

Victoria yes, I’m back on the cramps today! I think they’re my least favourite symptom, they make me so nervous!
Avo
Congrats, Avo! I’m also due on the 8th Jan, what a lovely surprise for you! All GP’s will date from the first day of your last period, regardless of when that was.

DaisyMay25 · 04/05/2019 17:16

@Victoriaaaaaaaa regarding cramps, I really think sometimes I think I'm having some and it's just wind haha (sorry tmi)

@Missmonkeypenny congrats on the bfp on official test day, must be a lovely feeling for you!

Avocuddles · 04/05/2019 17:51

@missmonkeypenny ah didn't realise that about the initial dating - on that basis I'd be 6 weeks now and due around new year though in reality on the basis of my long cycles I think it's more like 4 weeks so due around Jan 10th. I have my initial GP appointment booked in for Friday, think they'll be surprised to see me given the number of fertility based appointments I've been in for over recent months! Crossing fingers that everything turns out ok.
Definitely a bit emotional and distracted today - almost had a meltdown when I accidentally watered my tomato plants with diluted zoflora instead of plants food!!! Confused

Avocuddles · 04/05/2019 17:52

Also @missmonkeypenny - congratulations to you of course! Exciting!

KellyA25 · 04/05/2019 18:28

@avocuddles that's amazing news! Congratulations!! 💐

MrsH497 · 04/05/2019 19:37

Do I need to worry that the digital showed 1-2 when I'm 5 weeks yesterday? I'm so anxious about everything going ok but trying to enjoy it at the same time

mynameisMrG · 04/05/2019 19:56

I don’t think they have the best reputation for being that reliable with their dates @MrsH. When did you test? Was it first thing?

MrsH497 · 04/05/2019 20:04

Yeah it was but doing a few more due date calculations I could be anywhere from 4+6 to 5+4

mynameisMrG · 04/05/2019 20:43

I would try not to worry just yet then (impossible I know!) Smile

BowiesJumper · 05/05/2019 08:21

Also, clearblue date from conception rather than last period I think. So by period/nhs I’m 4 weeks tomorrow, but on clearblue I’m 1-2wks.

raligator · 05/05/2019 08:21

Congratulations @Avo, that’s amazing news!

@mrsH those tests tend to give weeks from ovulation/implantation whereas the gp will date from last period so there is always a bit of difference.

@Victoriaaaaaaaa I am still having cramps too, although they’re less infrequent now. I have started getting quite a sore lower back the last few days, especially first thing in the morning, not sure if anyone else has this?

raligator · 05/05/2019 08:23
  • less frequent
Bayleyf · 05/05/2019 08:58

Raligator I seem to have swapped cramps for backache too. Neither of them are bad, but I can notice them. I'm 5+2.

I've not been able to get a drs appointment till next Monday by which point I'll be 6+3. Does that sound late?

Daisyboo70 · 05/05/2019 09:13

Morning guys I'm Sarra, I'm 42 and after several years of trying, 1 failed ivf cycle I. 2016, 1 mc in February I've just had my bfp on a clear blue digital. My edd is 8th January.

MrsM18 · 05/05/2019 09:22

@Bayleyf I can't even register that I'm pregnant until 6 weeks, and then can expect a booking in appointment between 10-12 weeks 😩 so definitely not late! X

@Daisyboo70 Congratulations! X

Missmonkeypenny · 05/05/2019 09:34

bayleyf you self refer in my area and can’t do that until 6 weeks so I don’t think I’ll be seen til 10-12 weeks either!

mynameisMrG · 05/05/2019 09:35

Congratulations @Daisyboo

Bayleyf · 05/05/2019 09:59

That's very reassuring - thanks ladies!

plipliop · 05/05/2019 10:06

@Daisyboo70 yay!

We have now told my boss and my MIL/FIL.
I've also told my friend at work.
Still haven't told my mum because I want to do it face to face!

Who have you told? If you have other children when are you planning on telling them?

Hooray for bank holiday Smile
