So bored sitting here. It's deadly quiet and really boring.

Dh is working. Will be back at 3 today and then working 2pm till 10pm tomorrow.

Will get the kids in bed for 6:30 and maybe watch a film tonight.

Did your hospital tell you the baby's sex or did you find out privatly? My hospital won't tell you the sex.

Hospital told us.

When I had dd the hospital where we lived didnt tell you so we paid for a private scan to find out.

we get told still here too if we ask... i think its awful that some placeas wont tell you... its not like they have to go out of their way to have a peek is it??

We are finding out on 11th august, possibly before, but they want you to be 24 weeks for the 4D scan so that falls on moving day so will have to wait a week!

wow you been chatty today
nbg-congrats, a boy hey you csn think names now
ambi-congrats for a girl, i cant wait till my scan on thrusday (hoping to find out sex) not banking on it though as dd2 crossed her legs the moment we asked.

so would be nice to know as never wanted to know with dd1 and think dp his family me and my dd's need time to prepare our selves its a boy(think dp will be a little dissapointedif a boy but would rather know then we can have time to get used to it, name it etc)

well dd's 5th birthday party went really well (her b day not till wednesday but wanted party before they break up for holidays) bumpis play area so i didnt have to do anything, everyone turned up who was supposed to (which is always good) and ppl were really enthusiastic, plus seemd very cheap think they charged me wrong (but im not complainin)

dd's seemd to really enjoy it anyway and we had a trip to park as its a gorgeous day for once so dd 5 is in bed fast out and dd1 going up after youv been framed
isnt it nice when everything just goes how its supposed to for a change, no stress just peace its nice to have the sun back too, where has it been hiding

Ok have now caught up, I know you guys have totally moved on with the convos but here goes;

• Lovin the names chosen, Hannah/Lily/Georgia/ Abigail, pretty and girly without being too cutesy. I really wanted an unusual (to me anyways) name but the ones I picked are apparently too pornstar like for hubby (wont mention them for fear of offending) - If it was my choice I'd have had em.

• On the BF front, I can't wait to get my baps out - they are nice! I will certainly be telling people where to shove their opinon if they dare comment in public . As a firstie I have no exp of BF and I may give up straight away, but after watching too many hours of the baby channel I picked up that you should get the baby to latch onto the whole nipple and areola, not just the nipple as that pinches and will be sore, the areola is softer and is made for gums to clamp onto.

• I also love the nursery furniture in ikea, went last week after the 19wk scan. I was after the oak cot, until we knew we are getting a donation from friends of the inlaws. Am loving the freebies..

• Thelady, looks like a nice hotel, reminds me of the one we stayed in kirkcudbright for the millenium.

• The fleece wraps are so cute, i've printed off them for my grandma to make some up. She's just brought a cute bib with some sheep and I'm a little shepherd (our surname) she made for little 'un. My baby drawer is doing ok, and have hardly bought a thing. (1st grandchild for our parents)

Sorry for the long post, hoping everyones doing ok and bumps are growing nicely - mine isn't really, but maybe more noticable if I wasn't a size 18 already!! I should be thankful, as when i'm the size of a house, i will be moaning..

Thanks jarm and mad4, really wanted to buy some things but is unbelievably sexist, so really difficult unless you know. Even things like dummies are colour coded, and muslin squares. It has taken me a few days to get used to it as was expecting (and fancied) a boy. But now I'm over the moon to be having a princess. Hubby is a bit stressed at having 3 demanding girls to look after. (we have a demanding female dog who is our baby girl at the moment)

I'm with you on the gender-specific clothing problem! I've basically said no pink, no lilac, no mint green! I have no problem with either gender in blue....

I spent a lot of my childhood in boyclothes anyway, as girlie stuff wasn't suitable for climbing, fishing, or tearing about in general. Doesn't seem to have hurt me any - but knowing my luck I'll end up with a pink fluffy girlie!

I'm another size 18 who basically just looks even fatter now (at nearly 20 weeks) unless you're looking carefully. Sigh. Add to that the compulsion to eat almost constantly over the past two days... I seem to have finally stuffed myself with a giant baked potato and chilli!
