I read Owl Patrol. It’s @notanotherpawpatrol, sorry. Message still stands though!

StargazyDrifter · 09/01/2019 23:20

Notanotherpawpatrol very sorry indeed. Hugs to you and look after yourself.xx

Essexgirl what a worry on the bleed, they do happen though and everything crossed for you for tomorrow

TwinkleDay and blueeyedviking your work aeitations sound very stressful and not a bad idea to read up on those pregnancy rights online in case you have to go to a meeting at short notice. I remember going through something similar in 2008 (though wasn't pregnant) and wished I was better prepared on coming policies and general employee rights.

Kentishgal have a looo at the NIPT thread on the main pregnancy board, some views on why people did it. Bottom line, it's reasuring and helpful.

I must have v poor tummy muscles because the bump is now showing in the mornings as well as last thing at night and I'm finding it a bit hard to disguise. Just 10 more days til I get the NIPT result ans then I'll tell my colleagues (bosses know already). Still can't shake the nausea and the occasional throwing up. Ugh.

TwinkleDay · 10/01/2019 07:33

Morning I also find if I'm eating something I'm not a fan of and distract myself I'm ok, but if I'm concentrating on eating my berry porridge I will gag.

Anyone else 🤔

FuzzyPixel · 10/01/2019 08:11

Sending lots of love to you Notanotherpawpatrol. Please take care of yourself.

It is my 12 week scan this morning. I should be around 12+5. I'm terrified. I've hardly slept. Throughout infertility, we've been so used to being told bad news that I can't picture today going well, even though I desperately want it too. I was sick again this morning and my husband reminded me that it's a good sign.

cravingmilkshake · 10/01/2019 08:24

@FuzzyPixel let us know how you get on ❤️❤️ good luck and you'll be fine xx

GiGi18 · 10/01/2019 08:42

Good luck @FuzzyPixel hope everything goes well xxxx

AIDE2424 · 10/01/2019 08:44

@notanotherpawpatrol I’m so sorry to hear the news take care of yourself ❤️

@Essexgirl I had a bright red bleed a few weeks back and it all turned out to be fine, said it can happen sometimes let us know how you go on got everything crossed.

Well the sickness has been so bad I’ve been in hospital with dehydration 😩 back home now resting with a prescription for some anti sickness I don’t really want to take because on googling it says shouldn’t usually be taken in pregnancy, going to contact my midwife/GP today and see what they say regarding the medication.

Hope your all well ❤️

Giraffe888 · 10/01/2019 09:30

@fuzzypixel good luck! I’m sure all will be ok x

Jammyx · 10/01/2019 11:11

Hi all, just checking in after a busy week away. Got about 15 pages to catch up on! Hope everyone is well.

I had my 12 week scan today and my due date has been pushed back a couple of days to 23rd July. Otherwise all is well.

I'm going out with my best friend tomorrow....but I've not told her about my pregnancy yet as she has been trying to conceive for about 2 years now, sadly without success. I know I'm going to have to tell her soon but I just don't know how to go about it.

Jammyx · 10/01/2019 11:17

Just caught up on the last few messages.

@notanotherpawpatrol I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. Please look after yourself and all the best wishes for the future xx

@FuzzyPixel and @Essexgirl hope both your scans go well today Flowers

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 10/01/2019 11:23

@Jammyx I have a very close friend who found out not the long ago that she can't have kids. I told her when we were TTC and she said (and I know everyone is different) that she didn't want to be told in person or by text but to call her in an evening. So that she wasn't somewhere very public. As she's previously been very upset at other pregnancy announcements.
I never know what to do in those situations. But we'd discussed it and she encouraged us not to wait to long to ttc because of her news. And of course she's very happy for us.

BeckyButterfly · 10/01/2019 12:15

@AIDE2424 I felt the same about taking my anti-sickness meds but the doctor said to me that they all say that as they don’t test them on actual pregnant women. Generally they are safe though and the possibility of them having a negative effect is far outweighed by the negative effects of severe dehydration in pregnancy. I totally understand your reluctance though, I felt exactly the same. I’ve taken mine just once per day for a couple of days so that I at least keep something down. Then today I haven’t taken it yet because I haven’t felt too sick.

FuzzyPixel · 10/01/2019 12:18

Thank you all! First part of the appointment has been, Baby is growing well. I'm in shock really. I'm so, so pleased.

@Jammyx I tried for four and a bit years to conceive. I always preferred a text. I was always happy for those around me, but needed time to be sad and grieve for myself too.

BeckyButterfly · 10/01/2019 12:19

Yay @FuzzyPixel I’m so pleased for you!

BirthdayKake · 10/01/2019 12:20

Brilliant news FuzzyPixel!

RooKangaroo · 10/01/2019 14:49

I'm so sorry, @notanotherpawpatrol, that's devastating news. As @Diana said, you're so sweet to think about reassuring the rest of us when you're going through something like that. Wishing you all the best for the future x

RooKangaroo · 10/01/2019 14:50

@FuzzyPixel - great news! Can't imagine what a relief that must feel x

TwinkleDay · 10/01/2019 16:46

Awesome @FuzzyPixel so please feel you.

@Jammyx omg I have a friend who is 6 stone over weight at least and she is TTC and literally puts things in Facebook every other day with them predict your future things... this year brings you children and x y and z.. she's so open about it to everyone and I'm telling her a week on Saturday... not sure how to tell her... but like others said if she's your friend she will be happy for us :)

Essexgirlupnorth · 10/01/2019 17:31

Wasn't good news at my scan baby stopped growing at 7 weeks so a missed miscarriage. Been admitted to gynae ward for medical management.
Hope everyone else's pregnancies go smoothly.

ReginaPhalange89 · 10/01/2019 17:37

Oh gosh I'm so sorry @Essexgirlupnorth, how awful. Take care of yourself 💕

This is making me utterly terrified , mines not til next Friday and it's dragging in 😭

Giraffe888 · 10/01/2019 18:00

@essexgirlupnorth I’m so so sorry. Thinking of you xxx

@reginaphalange89 me too 🙁 I’m so nervous for mine. What time is yours next fri? X

FuzzyPixel · 10/01/2019 18:23

I am so sorry to hear that @Essexgirlupnorth. Look after yourself. Xxx

BeckyButterfly · 10/01/2019 18:24

@Essexgirlupnorth I’m really sorry to hear you got bad news today. It really is the worst experience. I wish you all the best for the future.

@ReginaPhalange89 and @Giraffe888 it’s so hard not to be nervous. Everyone keeps telling me just to relax and it isn’t good for the baby to worry but it’s impossible not to! Can’t wait for my scan to come around, waiting is so painful!

Giraffe888 · 10/01/2019 18:33

@beckybutterfly when is yours? X

HchyScott · 10/01/2019 18:34

@Essexgirlupnorth I’m so so sorry to hear your news, take some time and take care of yourself, big hugs x
