The old thread got closed at 1000 posts, I'm not sure why. So I've started this new one. I hope you all find it ok. @Swisbest2 @OneMoreWish @frankiefumbles @Kisses4u @hayleyfx @Maydot @Jessabean

I think 1k is maximum amount of comments per thread.

Thanks for starting new one.

So I'm six weeks today and brown spotting stopped about a week ago.

I did do another clear blue digital as I reasoned since I' had been spotting since first bfp at 10dpo i wanted to see if I had progressed at all. It showed 3+ weeks which I was relieved about. I know it's not a guarantee but it helped.

Apart from crying and some acne ( both happened in first pregnancy) no other symptoms yet.

One week until viability scan....

I hope everyone else is doing ok xxx

Pancakes7 · 27/11/2018 07:59

@OneMoreWish I'm glad you found the new thread. I tried to tag a few people. Oh good your scan is in a week. I hope the wait goes quickly for you. I'm 15 weeks and a day now. Looking forward to my 20 week scan now. Feeling alot better most of the time now. Still get headaches and sometimes feel faint/nauseous but better than I was.

I’ve found you!! Thanks for doing the new thread @Pancakes7!
Pleased you haven’t got long to wait for your scan @OneMoreWish, hopefully you’ll get some reassurance from it.
And @hayleyfx I’m soooo pleased to see you here!... I have everything crossed for you xx

awakeatnight · 27/11/2018 12:51

Hi everyone!!

Thanks to those who replied to me in the previous thread about what to expect at the scans. I'm still so anxious and haven't really contemplated actually attending the scans.

I'm now 8+3. Reassurance scan in 16 days and 12 week scan the following week with the midwife booking in in-between.

How early did you all start telling people?

With DD, we didn't breathe a word until after the 12 week scan. With my MMC we had told a lot of people as it was harder to hide the bump from early on and also "are you planning number 2 " just kept coming up in conversation so I just took to saying - wasn't planned but on the way! It was awful having to unbreak the news but also gave me some comfort to know that my baby had been celebrated in its life and, selfishly, that I'd had the happy "I'm pregnant" reveals too.
After that I always thought I'd tell people pretty early on, but haven't yet apart from 2 close friends who've been subject to this journey with me and been through similar things. I just don't know what to do - nothing feels right. I worry that our parents will be sick with worry if we tell them now but will feel left out if we wait until the 12 week safe(r) zone

Xx

@Maydot and @awakeatnight I'm glad you found the new thread! @awakeatnight This time I told close friends who knew about the journey. Also we told my Mum and his parents and my brother and sister in law as they all knew about before. We found we wanted the support this time round. Plus less stress I found by being open. But it is what's right for you. I'm sure your scans will be fine. I'll be thinking of you.

Ao had scan white as a ghost got there too early almost walked out and as soon as they put thing on tummy i saw this thing that now looks like a baby stretching its legs wavjng and kicking. Absolutely overwhelmed 😍 they couldnt get nuchal measurement after half hour trying as wouldnt stay still then curled up so back fri. Thankyou all for your support. I was dreading having to give bad news again to my mum. Still scared and nervous but in a better place now.

Thanks @pancakes7 im in shock tbh!

Pancakes7 · 28/11/2018 07:56

@Swisbest2 I know what you mean. Suddenly it's real. You got your 20week scan booked? We have to book ours at reception after the dating scan.

@swisbet2 Great scan photo!
Glad you're feeling happier ☺ xxx

Swisbest2 · 28/11/2018 20:43

Thanks @dreaminofholidays 😊

@awakeatnight i had only told parents because only 2 months after mmc and i needed support and mum lost both parents as i was also losing that baby so wanted to give her hope but then immediately regretted it incase of something going wrong. After my scan on mon she got really excited and emotional and wanted to tell my sisters so i reluctantly let her. Not heard her that happy in a long time so let her share the news. Only my boss at work knows cos otherwise shell keep working me to death! 😣 i really am in no hurry or feel any need to tell anybody else. I didnt think id feel like this but i just do.

@pancakes7 oh right i didnt know that. I had to book in for fridays rescan but they didnt say anything about 20 week scan. Ill ask when im there. Thanks for the heads up

Pancakes7 · 28/11/2018 22:24

@Swisbest2 That's lovely. I'm glad your Mum is so happy. I'm the same, I've only told close family and friends, well also work colleagues. But I'm not doing any facebook announcement or anything. The people I care about know and that's all that matters. I've completely gone off social media following my difficult time earlier this year. My fact sheet for my dating scan said to book 20 week scan there and then. Think my midwife told me to aswell. So yeah try book at reception after your scan. But might all be a bit different. Let us know how Friday goes.

Hey everyone, we’ve been for our 2nd attempt at the 20 week scan today. Baby was actually behaving this time and they could get all the checks done, everything’s looking perfect and we’ve confirmed it’s definitely a GIRL!!! So happy 💗

dreaminofholidays · 29/11/2018 19:04

@maydot yay! a little girl how lovely.

I have a feeling I'm having a boy, nothing to base it on though! xxx

Swisbest2 · 29/11/2018 19:31

My sister said when she had a private scan the lady told her all about nub theory and it was right for her three but i still dont see how she can tell anything from my pic. Does everybody have a "feeling?" Or just really not sure? I have a feeling girl

Pancakes7 · 30/11/2018 10:04

@Swisbest2 I read about the nub theory but I'm not 100% sure I'm looking at the nub lol. But if I am it's straight so I think girl.

Swisbest2 · 30/11/2018 14:51

Pancakes7 · 30/11/2018 19:42

@Swisbest2 I'm glad they got the measurements. It must be nice to see baby again. I hope your letter comes quickly. I was lucky my scan was Monday and got letter Friday. But depends how busy they are. 14 weeks is a good milestone. Pass the first trimester! I'm 16 weeks on Monday. Got a lil bump going on now.
