Just because I think we’re getting close to filling the first one. Pull up a pew, bring your decaf tea and all of the carbs!

I'm so sorry @rose68 sending you lots of love and strength xx

silverrose56 · 16/11/2018 12:11

@rose68 I'm so sorry, look after yourself. I hope you have plenty of support.

@5fivestar I have gone off food too. The same thing happened in my first pregnancy, we worked out that the only way to feed me was for my DH to just put the food in front of me and I ate on autopilot. I still didn't eat much but it was better than nothing. It went at the same time as the morning sickness and i was able to eat normally again except for my aversion to eggs and chicken which lasted the whole pregnancy.

TwinkleDay · 16/11/2018 12:37

@rose68 thinking of you, take some time then try again. Hope you have plenty of support xxx

MrsC87 · 16/11/2018 14:33

So sorry to hear that @Rose68 thinking of you 💕💕 xxx

BettySwoll0cks · 16/11/2018 14:38

Balls. I just went for my scan, which by the way was to check for PCOS not a pregnancy scan. Anyway I told her circumstances had changed, I was pregnant and could she still have a look anyway? So she did and she said she could see a small yolk sac but nothing more, so I couldn't be more than 4wks. I'm 5+4 Sad

Anyway this is exactly what happened to me the last time when I mc'd so I am not feeling hopeful at all. Didn't progress beyond about 5wks and mc'd at 10 weeks (torture). Have requested a reassurance scan from my EPU - hopefully that will come through soon. Bugger.

5fivestar · 16/11/2018 14:42

BettySwoll0cks - fingers crossed, I hope it’s not over and just small. I was nearly induced with my first because the scan showed she hadn’t grown beyond 32 weeks. 9lb 10oz’s she was, bloody whopper .. they aren’t gospel

TwittleBee · 16/11/2018 14:45

BettySwoll0cks I was measured at 5+3 for my scan and all they saw was the sac and yolk (which was time consuming to find and I had to be at the right angle) could it be that maybe she struggled to see the yolk in that sac? Did she measure how large the sac was? I really hope that you are still set for a successful pregnancy this time round hun and so bloody hope they let you get another scan soon!

BettySwoll0cks · 16/11/2018 15:26

Thanks ladies. She didn't measure with any accuracy, like I say I was there for a check of my ovaries not a pg scan. She just had a quick look and said she could see the sac but that was it, and that "I would say you can't be more than 4 weeks". The MW told me in the phone it was far too early to make a statement like that with a transabdominal and I hope she's right.

For once, I just wanted to be one of the lucky ones that sees something encouraging Sad

Laburna · 16/11/2018 15:35

@BettySwoll0cks she sounds like she doesn't really have a clue to be honest? But....as we've recently discovered, unless you've had the embryos implanted in, there's no way to know for sure that you are definitely 5+3. Even if you think you know when you ovulated, there are so many things that can delay ovulation even slightly, fertilisation can take 48 hours longer than you think, and implantation could take days after that, all delaying where you think you are in the pregnancy. It's a horrible time, and I realise this probably won't help, but I really would ignore what the silly lady said!

Had my booking in this morning, I completely forgot how fast everything gets organised, and feels a bit premature when I've not had a scan yet! Reassurance scan on Tuesday, then 12 week scan date will come through next week. I've been referred to the consultant, thankfully the one I've been seeing about the MCs so that's good, and my GTT is booked for week 16. Had all my bloods taken, and gone through all the issues last time. Feels a bit more real, but strange to have my green book again!

Has anyone thought about having the harmony test?

Onestep2 · 16/11/2018 15:39

@rose68 so sorry to hear your news. Wishing you well

@bettysw0llocks hopefully she just couldn't see anything and has it wrong! Try and stay positive!

I got my letter in for my 12 week scan on 27th December.... thought I would chance it and phoned the hospital and asked if they could do it before Christmas lol they managed to move it to Friday 21st December so will be a nice wee early Xmas prezzie to see bubs cooking away!!

Onestep2 · 16/11/2018 15:44

Also on my way to tell my mum n dad just now!!

Shitting myself. (Like telling your parents you've had sex like your a teenager type nervous hahahaha)

Wish me luck lol

TwittleBee · 16/11/2018 15:50

Onestep2 oh I am so tempted to try the same! But tbh 27th actually works ideally for us and all my family and work know now anyway I guess. Good luck telling the parents!

cathyj87 · 16/11/2018 15:52

I'm so sorry that has happened @rose68

Haha good luck @onestep2

Now I've started telling people I can't seem to stop myself! Had a brief phone call from the MW today just to check the date of LMP as I had an HSG on 4th Oct and she said I probably wouldn't be booked in for a scan until Jan so my mum has paid for an early scan for me, booked in on Wed 28th! I should be a bit over 8 weeks by then so fingers crossed. I've still not got any symptoms really, constipation seems to have settled and I'm not as knackered the past few days and still no sickness, but turns out my mum wasn't sick at all with me or my brother so maybe I just got her good genes!

Belmo · 16/11/2018 15:54

I’m so sorry @Rose68.

@Frazzlerock hope your weekend is fab.

Good luck @Onestep2 haha I felt like that the first time (this time I’m going to be a bit mortified admitting to my 7 year old I’ve had sex 😂)

My scan is on the 27th too.

TwittleBee · 16/11/2018 16:00

Urgh at the Drs for DS and a women has come in being sick and asking for help. I better not fricking catch this!!!!

SnailorSwift · 16/11/2018 17:14

Had my initial midwife appointment today with community midwife. Been referred as 'urgent' for consultant led care, and early scan and started on clexane. Nothing unexpected though so I'm feeling ok.

MyloC · 16/11/2018 17:15

So sorry @Rose68 Flowers

twosecs · 16/11/2018 17:35

So sorry to hear your news @Rose68

@BettySwoll0cks I'd listen to your midwife in this instance, a stomach scan would be incredibly unreliable at this stage, it's DildoCam or no point checking. Fingers crossed she was just being a nob, she had no place telling you that.

I've felt nauseous allllll day, helped by worlds mosy expensive pick and mix, and snuggles and films on the sofa with DD1

Onestep2 · 16/11/2018 17:38

@twosecs dildocam 🤣🤣🤣

itsallgreek · 16/11/2018 17:45

@Bettyswoll0cks I went ft if my first scan at 5+2 and it was done vaginally.. We only saw a sack and nothing more I waited a week and went back at 6+3 and had great results with a heartbeat and a healthy embryo... Try not to get worked up I know its easier said than done but just be patient and see what the MW says... I've got everything crossed for you

DianaBlythe · 16/11/2018 18:38

Oh @Rose68, I know there are no words but just wanted to say how very sad to hear your news.

@BettySw0llocks - I agree, as hard as it is I really wouldn’t take that information from a trans abdominal radiology department scan. And you could easily be a few days out. Must be torture for you though.

I was reasonably confident I was 7+0 or 7+1 but scan today shows 6+5 but with a flicky flicky heartbeat.

BettySwoll0cks · 16/11/2018 18:40

Thanks all - you're completely right of course, it was just a throwaway comment I think that I found hugely triggering after my losses. I've always had to have DildoCam (I love that!!) to get any joy in the past.

Will keep my chin up until my EPU appt comes through - hopefully all will be fine!

BettySwoll0cks · 16/11/2018 19:02

Great news @DianaBlythe - congratulations!

DianaBlythe · 16/11/2018 19:11

@BettySw0llocks - I just meant that margin of error at 4 or 5 weeks could make a lot of difference to what you’d see. Hope you’re able to look after yourself at the weekend.

BettySwoll0cks · 16/11/2018 20:41

@DianaBlythe completely agree, it is so early still. Delighted you saw your heartbeat. x
