Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
derlor · 13/06/2007 22:06

evening,
i realise that you are all away to bed but wanted to say Hi anyway.
can't possibly manage to read back and catch up all the gossip so just hoping you are all well and eating pleanty of mango and pineapple smoothies!! (additional ingredients optional)

Just wanted to say as well while you all despair over still being pg some points to consider...

  • for those of you who intend to BF, enjoy the last few days of pain free nipples
  • sleep, sleep and sleep at every opportunity you NEVER know when you'll get a few hours sleep again!!
  • EAT CHOCOLATE till you feel sick cause you CAN - guilt will get you soon!
  • enjoy the fact that currently no one wants to visit you - believe me you'll wish most of the "we just popped by" visitors would just FUCK OFF pretty soon!!

right on that note, i wish you all a good night and I do miss you all but time is just not so easy to manage these days....post natal thread is MUCH slower than this one!!
night all x

riabutterflew · 13/06/2007 22:14

Night all. Hope we all sleep well and have a better day with lots of babies tomorrow. Rx

bumperlicious · 14/06/2007 06:36

Morning all

Thanks derlor for the wise words - I will take them to heart - esp the chocolate one!

Hmm, think I have a UTI so going to dr's today, if I can coax them into giving me an appointment!

Glad you are enjoying the CD annobal. I must use mine more often! Hope you had a nice dinner last night.

Pingu, did you go into labour yet...?

Foxy, I hope you have a better day with your DCs. You probably get sick of people saying "OMG how do you manage?", but I think you do a fantastic job and can't imagine how challenging it's going to be for you with 4 little ones. But I know you'll be brill, you sound like a great mum

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 08:02

Morning all!
Any action last night?
No news from me despite chowing down a whole mango before I went to bed. GRRRR

bumperlicious · 14/06/2007 08:14

No, my only action is a burning fanjo! Off to try and persuade the militant receptionists at the Drs to give me an appointment today without having to explain to them in detail why. They love the power!

How are you feeling TA?

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 08:27

erm...why is your fanjo burning? red hot bedroom action hopefully....

I am ok. Feeling a little down that still nothing happening but am trying to be positive - I am trying to focus on the fact that my cervix IS doing what it is supposed to, just slowly, so I am trying to remain cheerful and just hang on in there a few more days.

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 08:39

AHh just read your other post, ignore me

hollyandalice · 14/06/2007 08:43

Morning all! Glad you are ok TA, just think your lovely baby is going to be nice and cooked and will be wonderful and chubby! Chubby babies are the best, I have one and she has the most delicious chubby thighs and lovely chubby cheeks!!

OP posts:
trendaverter · 14/06/2007 08:46

Blimey I'd settle for anything at the moment, but chubby is nice!

How are you today Holly?

On the plus side I had a few BHs in the night... would have been nicer if they were actual contractions but I will take what I can get these days

hollyandalice · 14/06/2007 08:50

BHs are a good thing, they might help to soften your cervix! Hooray!

I am fine, have mw this afternoon and hopefully I'll pursuade her to do a sweep! I don't think it'll be like yours though, my mw is about 21 and skinny and meak, so I don't think she'd be able to do me any damage! I just want to find out how my cervix is doing, I can't farking reach it!

How is the pain and bleeding, has it gone?

OP posts:
bumperlicious · 14/06/2007 08:52

@ red hot bedroom action, not likely, esp not now! We had an active phase a couple of weeks back, but I just don't seem to be built for any action at the moment - can't seem to find a comfortable position! Sorry, TMI!

Got an appointment with the dr at 10am, and thankfully didn't have to give details to the nosey receptionist!

hollyandalice · 14/06/2007 08:54

Have you tried spooning bumper??

OP posts:
trendaverter · 14/06/2007 08:55

I can now touch my belly but can't lean on it (like kitchen worktops type thing) so bruising is better and the bleeding seems to have stopped.

I do feel ok today, just very tired, I think I was a bit worked up as I hardly slept a wink.

I wish I had your MW! So annoyed, the first MW I had was lovely, I could have married her honestly, but she left to have a LO of her own.

My MW did know what she was doing and she wasn't malicious or anything, just quite heavy handed. I think for her it was just a job and less of a lifestyle choice if you know what I mean.

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 08:56

ooh we have found a good postition too. I won't divulge details unless asked

bumperlicious · 14/06/2007 08:56

Yep, but can't get a good angle. Think it's coz my bum's too big!

bumperlicious · 14/06/2007 08:58

I'd like to know TA - or at least my DH would!

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 09:01

hahah it's nothing special but it works for us - me on my back, him kneeling, my legs over his shoulders lol

I can't spoon either, my arse is way too big, it'd be more of a tickle than penetration...TMI sorry

hollyandalice · 14/06/2007 09:02

It seems to be very much a clinical exercise than red hot passion atm! I just can't feel very sexy when I'm the size of a small car!

OP posts:
trendaverter · 14/06/2007 09:09

I second that... meant to shag IN the car, not the car itself

bumperlicious · 14/06/2007 09:15

By the time we find a position that's right I'm usually too frustrated and getting really p*ssed of. Last time we tried I said "I bloody hate having sex when PG" and he was like "well, I can't do it now you've said that!". Bit of a disaster!

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 09:18

Yep had that one too - but for me, the classic dampener seems to be the fact that while pregnant I am a mean grean yeast machine and seem to constantly have thrush (even when I don't realise it) and every time we do it I give it to DH the poor bastard.
We have taken out shares in Canesten

BadZelda · 14/06/2007 09:20

doggy style worked for us? Actually it's way toooo early in the morning to tell you that isn't it!

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 09:22

Morning BZ!
Nahh bring it on, we have had thrush and bleeding and UTI's this morning, humping doggy style is just another delicate conversation to add to the mix

riabutterflew · 14/06/2007 09:24

Good grief, it's a bit early for shagging!

Hope everyone is feeling better today and there are no hurtful remarks flying around etc.

DH has gone back to work, so we'll see how sods law is operating today (didn't work with the clean sheets...). We had curry and pineapple and that other thing yesterday. I have wken up with backache and had a couple of painful tightenings. Also feel sick. Probably just a reaction to the food. My MW yesterday was really quite rough when feeling for position of LO (but I didn't like to moan yesterday as it was nowhere near as bad as what you had to go through TA) so I feel a bit battered inside and out (not that she did inside, that would be the other thing I suppose). She "thought" the head was down but not in the pelvis and said it wouldn't be a good thing to go into labour if not engaged. Do you think sometimes they make it up as they go along? I was her last appointment before two weeks holiday.

Am off to risk hot chocolate and toast...

bumperlicious · 14/06/2007 09:25

Morning BZ, no, you're right, I think that is the solution. Now I just need to work up the energy!
