My dp is very worried about emptying the pool! He is really not very good with blood! I felt like that too TA. I wanted to have my first in hosp, just for the reassurance really, but as my first went without a hitch I thought a home birth for the second would be the best option. Now I'm actually quite excited about it!

I really hope I don't get induced this time! I have told the mw that if I do have to be induced that I'm coming home once they've given me the drugs!

trendaverter · 11/06/2007 15:18

I am sure your dp will be ok with emptying the pool - my brother is not the paternal sort!

hollyandalice · 11/06/2007 15:22

My dp is not the blood sort! He had a blood test a couple of weeks ago and fainted! He is a big wimp! I can see it sat there in the morning and me having to empty it myself!!

OP posts:
trendaverter · 11/06/2007 15:33

He fainted?! BAHAHAHA aww bless

my dh faints when he has injections and he used to give me some line about blood sugar and I gave him so much grief, called him every pussy under the sun, then I googled it and found out he was right

foxybrown · 11/06/2007 15:37

Ah, the blood in the pool will be so diluted, tell him not to worry about the blood.

Its the shit he won't want to deal with!

trendaverter · 11/06/2007 15:41

ahhh the delicate and ladylike members of the June thread strike again

hollyandalice · 11/06/2007 15:44

Hopefully that'll get sieved out!! We are a classy bunch aren't we?!

OP posts:
bumperlicious · 11/06/2007 15:45

I'm going to have another kinder maxi bar (or two - they are teeny tiny!)

hollyandalice · 11/06/2007 15:47

Have 4 bumper, then that'll be the same as one normal bar! I love Kinder! Mmmmmm!!!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 11/06/2007 15:47

TA - that's what brought you here to us in the first place!

mmm, that reminds me I have some M&S chocolate brazil nuts.

Bumpers little chocolate bars have reminded me - not the shite in the pool!!!

hollyandalice · 11/06/2007 15:48

ROFL! My poo doesn't look like brazil nuts, it is black due to iron tablets! Now that really was TMI!!

OP posts:
trendaverter · 11/06/2007 15:52

hahaha foxy I can't deny it... but Netmums have removed the tickers now, oooh the temptation to move over there is getting strong....

I have replaced chocolate with fruit in an attempt to start the whole weight loss thing. I am not going to describe my poo, only say that I ate a LOT of chocolate, I now eat a LOT of fruit, and leave it to your imagination.

hollyandalice · 11/06/2007 15:53

Are we not soft and fluffy enough for you TA?!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 11/06/2007 15:54

You are too classy for us TA! Bet you go to Netmums and tell them how gross we are

bumperlicious · 11/06/2007 15:54

Nice! You'd think all this talk of poo would put me off my chocolate. Nope!

Think I'm going to be bfing this LO chcoloate milk at this rate! Will I ever stop eating?!

hollyandalice · 11/06/2007 15:55

Just think bumper when you are bfing you can have an extra 500 calories a day!! Brilliant!

daisyboo · 11/06/2007 15:56

I didn't realise how quickly this thread moves on until I can only log in once a day....by heck you lot can talk for your country! What about pearl necklaces....what did I miss??

Big Congrats to Babymonster.....look forward to seeing you on the PN thread...

Missed the bit about catkin having pre-eclampsia......I hope that she and bub are OK.

SFL......just want to say a big thank you from DH and I, and sorry, but I've not yet cashed your cheque...I'll get DH to do it tomorrow....
Good luck for the induction tomorrow. At least the end is in sight and you will have your LO very soon. Can't wait to hear all the details and see the photos.

JBM, I'll get DH to post the shorts tomorrow as well...forgot all about them in our excitement!

MW came today and took my stitches out. Feeling much much better and the wound isn't nearly as sore. she thinks there may be a bit of an infection though, so got to keep an eye on things.

Holly...i used nipple shields for my night time feeds and it was much more comfortable. MW has also helped me with getting her latched on better, so the last two feeds have been virtually pain-free. Think we mught just have craked it! I asked about the lack of engorgement and she said that it's not usually as bad with subsequent babies as your body remebers and is more efficient at milk production much more quickly.

Now we just have to work on the poo.....she poos a little bit, waits for you to change her nappy and either projectile poos as soon as its off, or waits for a nice fresh one before finishing. We used 20 nappies yesterday

right, DH is waiting to put some steri-strips on the end of my wound which hasn't quite knitted together properly.....bless the man he deserves a medal....from drying my feet and legs in the hospital (plus drying my fanjo and changing my maternity pad for me!!), to massaging my swollen feet, and administering wound dressings, what a star!!

Lord my DD has pooed again!

trendaverter · 11/06/2007 15:57

ROTFL

oh I have never been called classy in my life, but thanks

Yes I am going to venture over to the dark side, call myself cutesykins, put a few tickers counting down when my last nervous breakdown was, and send everyone ((((((((hugs)))))))) and tell them all about the nasty gross people on mumsnet

trendaverter · 11/06/2007 16:01

Daisy we are bored waiting for our LO and the chatting has become frantic to pass the time!

We'll see you on the PN thread once a day soon enough - until then it looks like you have kept in the spirit of things by talknig about poo!

foxybrown · 11/06/2007 16:34

We do our best to make you look classy TA!!

So Daisy... what's it like on the other side? Keep meaning to peer over the fence and check out your PN thread but I just can't imagine having a newborn!

Yikes! Trying to put it out of my head right now. Deal with it when it comes [panic emoticon].

ever get the feeling you just haven't quite thought things through..?

derlor · 11/06/2007 16:42

quick hello from me >
j ust wanted to let you all know i've got my jeans back on today
Derlor runs away VERY fast and hides
will return soon - need to feed my expanding family x

trendaverter · 11/06/2007 16:49

Foxy - I got that feeling when the little test had 2 blue lines. So I bought 11 more, just in case it was wrong.

I was convinced that it was incorrect because I had eaten a lot of beetroot that day (! I know - pathetic)

After 12 tests I was pretty sure I hadn't thought things through.

Derlor - I never liked you.

foxybrown · 11/06/2007 16:56

I trust that's your maternity jeans then?!

foxybrown · 11/06/2007 16:58

Why can't I get my profile page to come up on here???
