hi again; just seen the hospital conversation earlier - Egg, i'm on the edges of middx/surrey and therefore it's a half hour at least into london for one of the private wards ie lindo, kensington at c&w - so no idea if it's feasible(local nhs hospital hasn't got too good a reputation and i don't know if i can face a fight with gp's and pct to go somewhere else). am going to have a look later on & will then do the sums and see if we can afford it. not covered on either of our work health insurances. at the end of the day there is a lot else you can do with £5/7/10k isn't there..

DearBeatrice · 04/06/2007 12:30

am going to see george michael on sat night leesmum although i'll miss drinking the wembley lager - water not quite the same at a concert is it - where are you seeeing him?

how are you victor-victoria? well i hope..?

Egg · 04/06/2007 12:42

Yay we finally have a comprehensive stats list. Nice to be able to see where we all are. Hopefully we will get new people joining every day or two as well.

OK so nobody lives as near to me as I had hoped when I saw you talking about Hammersmith. God knows where we are going to end up having this one as I dont think we will end up staying in SW London.

Been kicked in stomach twice today by DS, who is having a "bad day" it seems .

CountTo10 · 04/06/2007 12:44

Yeah I'm worried about protecting that area from ds as he can be quite physical bless him. Still I spose that area is padded for a reason.

beansprout · 04/06/2007 12:45

I'm quite near you Egg, just the other side of Shepherds Bush.

Am getting embroiled in a discussion about class on another thread. Can we go back to talking about my belly please?

beansprout · 04/06/2007 12:45

Padding is not an issue here

CountTo10 · 04/06/2007 12:46

Also anyone else taking Sanatogen Pro-Natal?? I've been taking them for a few weeks, trying to be all sensible and that but I actually have to break them in half to take them - they're like horse pills!!!

Egg · 04/06/2007 13:02

Beansprout I know you are not that far, but anything further than 20 min walk to me seems far . Especially as it is NORTH of the river...

Slacker - I take pregnacare (never really stopped taking them since started TTC DS!), they are easy to swallow .

Am going to have a look at he class thread now.

beansprout · 04/06/2007 13:18

I'm a preganare girl too. You can order them in bulk from the makers, which makes sense if you know you are going to be taking them for 9+ months. I took them while I was b/feeding ds too. My body needed all the help it could get by that stage.

Egg · 04/06/2007 13:32

Ooh really? Do you order online or over the phone? I get mine normally at GNC, where i have a card so I get 10% off. Are they cheaper in bulk?

Are we really all going to have babies in 8 months time?

beansprout · 04/06/2007 13:43

I ordered on line. They are made by Vitabiotics (some outfit based up here, norf of the river! )

Babies? 8 months? Dunno watcha talking about.....

beansprout · 04/06/2007 13:46

Just checked. They are buy 2 get 1 free.

CountTo10 · 04/06/2007 13:50

I know it;s really weird isn;t it!!!! I just want to run round telling everyone as I'm so excited!! Then bit by bit I keep remembering what's going to happen. I'm rhesus neg so have to have injections not to mention all the blood tests and I hate needles!!! Am patting my stomach already - feel like a nutter!!!

leesmum · 04/06/2007 14:01

all ive been taking is folic acid but dp keeps buying me innocent smoothie drinks, they are yum and have lots of vitamins in them blah blah blah..CountTo10 im seeing george at City of Manchester Stadium. Also saw him in nov in m/cr was one of the best nights ive had in years, its a shame i cant get bladdered at this one though.

leesmum · 04/06/2007 14:04

sorry CountTo10 youre not seeing george, its DearBeatrice whos going to see my other fella

gingermumi · 04/06/2007 14:04

Hey girls. Feeling v fat and tired today! Am pregnacare person too but doc told me that just taking folic acid is just as good- thought this might be of help as they are so much smaller! I don't seem to live near anyone - live south of Petersfield (or about 15 miles north of Portsmouth). Good to see so many of us on thread

rozzyraspberry · 04/06/2007 14:36

Hi everyone - lots of posts today - took me a while to catch up.

I take sanatogen pro-natal - they are big but I don't have problems with pills so they're ok for me. I thought we only had to take folic acid for the first 3 months - is that right?

Anyone else live in Scotland? I think you must mini since you did your run in Edinburgh yesterday?

I don't think it's sunk in with me either that we'll have another baby in 8 months. It'll probably seem more real when we start to tell people and have had the scan - I can't wait for that bit! (Although I've always found the scan on a full bladder verrrry uncomfortable!!!!)

CountTo10 · 04/06/2007 14:39

Folic acid for the first 3 but I want to try and keep up the multi vits throughout as I suffered with anemia first time round and was on iron tablets. I don't spose it helped that I lived on cheese & tomato s/w's and tea by the end of it though I'm hoping we're going to get an early scan this time round as standard - think they've started doing them now otherwise that's more money to spend out as they are expensive round here!!

miniandme · 04/06/2007 15:02

Rozzy yes im in scotland, between glasgow and edinburgh in a place called livingston?

Have been today and bought bigger sized clothes just a couple of things then im buying maternity stuff !! Will haev to go and buy maternity clothes for my engagement party how bad is that eh !!

Hay fever,i was taking zirtek and told by doc that it was fine to continue with it.But have today swapped to a nasal spray and eye drops simply becuase the tablets were not string enough to help my symptoms haev it real bad.

CountTo10 · 04/06/2007 15:20

Made me roar!! I had the catalogues out this morning to look at what maternity wear I want to buy!!!! Haven;t told dp as he'd go mad!! Thing is cause I work in an office, I have to dress quite smartly so have to have quite a lot of smart stuff. Also need to do a Maternity wear amnesty with my friends so i can retrieve all my stuff I've lent out over the last couple of years!!

rozzyraspberry · 04/06/2007 16:13

I know Livingston - been there quite a few times shopping! Used to live in South Queensferry so not far away. Now live in Cupar in Fife not far from St Andrews.

Work is my main concern re clothes early on. I really don't want to tell them that I'm pregnant until after my scan. Am dreading it actually as it'll be my third period of maternity leave since I started working there 6 years ago. We are so short staffed that it'll make things difficult for the people left and my timing isn't great as our busiest time is Jan - Apr and I'll probably be finishing up mid Jan.

Although I don't need bigger clothes yet I saw a couple of loose sort of flowing tops today and bought them to hide my belly behind for the first few months!
