If you are not around later Lilkel, good luck for tomorrow - I'll be thinking of you!

foxybrown · 24/05/2007 18:25

Congrats Natty - can't wait to hear all about it. Sending you lots of love xxx

Bumper, just wanted to say I had a 1:5 chance of this baby having Downs, and 1:17 chance of something else chromosonal being wrong. A CVS came up with nothing chromosonally being wrong. At the 20 week scan they say they think she's all OK. But until she's out we won't know for sure. You can't worry about it, or you will go mad. Occasionally it pops into my head, but it goes again.

And you won't stop worrying about something being wrong with your child. Ever. If its not something at birth, it'll be educationally, or socially, or anything else you can think about rationally or irrationally!

DaisysGotABigBump · 24/05/2007 18:28

Just had a text from Natty saying thanks for all the messages of congrats and sending love to all and that "cervical sweeps rock...I dilated in 2 hours" LOL....

She'll be back on the board as soon as their internet connection is sorted or when she feels up to going to the library

Hi everyone,

CONGRATULATIONS NATTY - WLECOME BABY ELLEN XXXX

good luck for tomorrow lilkel how exciting.

i've convinced myself i'm now in early labour cause i've been having pains all day and i just feel a bit odd like a baby is about to fall out, wihtout being too graphic i just feel different down there - more round!!!!!!! (bet i'm still pg in 3 weeks though)

notsolilKel · 24/05/2007 18:37

dilation in 2 hours? sounds like a dream...!

Daisy, this morning I started Arnica 30c and Rescue Remedy every 4 hours, leaving some time between them. 24hrs prior is apparently a good time to start these two. As I've got piles lately (pleasant, yes?) I also started Aloes Soc. 30 this morning, in between meals. It seriously does help. Since the weekend I've been on iron tablets morning and night - results show it's helping. Shame on me for running out of Spatone a month ago!!

Afterwards I plan to continue the Arnica, RRem, and Aloes (if need be). I'll add in Staphysagria 200 as well if there's space enough in the day, and drink peppermint tea to help digestion along.

At home I'll put a drop or two of tea tree and lavender oil in the bath.

Generally lavender is good for me for sleeping too, any old night! I mist the room at bedtime (shhh don't tell DH!)

DaisysGotABigBump · 24/05/2007 18:46

Cheers Lilekl...i bought some arnica pills but I wasn't sure when to start. Apparently it makes a real difference in recovery time. also good for epesiotomy scars and tears, so stock up ladies...I got mine in mothercare!

and good luck for tomorrow....we'll be hanging on the edge of seats waiting for news!!

Derlor...sounds promising, you're due soon so ne rason why it wouldn't be happening now...other than its that awkward third one....which do seem to be more troublesome than No 2 from what I've heard/read!

sputnik · 24/05/2007 18:46

Best of luck Lilkel, we'll all be thinking of you

Bumper, what you are feeling is totally normal, and like Foxy says won't go away (sorry )
Foxy I loved your earlier post today about holding your newborn all day or going off round the block or whatever btw. You can be our parenting guru.

It's a long story with DH's family, they are Arabic but have been here for decades, DH was born and grew up here, went to an international school and came to uni in the UK - how we met. I guess we are a bit of an international family.

DaisysGotABigBump · 24/05/2007 18:47

ne rason....slipping into elf speak or something there....I meant no reason of course.

Sorry Derlor, didn't mean that to frighten you, just read it back and it sounds bad

OP posts:
derlor · 24/05/2007 18:51

no worries Daisy - i've also heard that
FOXY....... IS IT TRUE????

sputnik · 24/05/2007 18:51

I've got some arnica cream, would that be good on stitches or do you have to take pills?

Derlor, Holly was just putting money on you popping next, don't disappoint us!

derlor · 24/05/2007 18:55

arnica is fab stuff - i put it directly onto my scar when i had my appendix out. not sure about puting it on those stitches though Sputnik!! MW would be good to ask though. tablets worked well for me last time post birth -note to self - get arnica tablets, (tomorrow)

derlor · 24/05/2007 18:58

oh man i'm so uncomfy - i'm away for a bath. back later x

Juicylucytoo · 24/05/2007 19:01

notsolilkel - just popped on you wish you luck with you cs tomorrow. Have only skimmed (so I hope I'm right), but hope all goes fabulously well and you're home soon. xx

Very that some of you June ladies are seeing your babies before me. I'm due 29th May and absolutely NO SIGN of the little fella yet.

DH home tonight, so will have to pounce for labour stimulating sex , followed by kilo of pineapples and raspberry leaf tea

annobal · 24/05/2007 19:03

You probably already know this but you can get homeopathic birth kits which have arnica 200 already in them. They also have a booklet that tells you what to take and when.

I'm knackered tonight - shopping really wears me out. DH and T&G are downstairs putting together G's scooter which we got from Bluewater today - they are so excited and T&G can't stop giggling!

DaisysGotABigBump · 24/05/2007 19:05

Hi Juicylucy...how's it going in May...I've been dipping in and out, but it seems to have gone eerily quiet today...is everyone having babies today or something!

foxybrown · 24/05/2007 19:06

Nah, my third slipped out a treat Derlor! Was tempted to do it without pain relief, but came to my senses! Did a lot of pacing around the living room and bouncing on the ball. MW kept saying "Gas and air is right in front of you" and I was saying "I'm fine, but you are in the way. Move!"

foxybrown · 24/05/2007 19:06

Phospherous is meant to be great to stop bleeding.

annobal · 24/05/2007 19:08

Good to hear Foxy, I had heard the same Derlor and so was expecting to sit around to 42 weeks before i have to be induced, despite other 2 arriving early...

foxybrown · 24/05/2007 19:09

Oh she was 10 days late! Both boys were on the day.

annobal · 24/05/2007 19:11

btw you're lucky to use gas and air Foxy - I just have a really bad reaction to it hence have delivered the other 2 with nothing (was begging for epidural with DS2 but after 3 hours of begging the anethetist turned up and I went into 2nd stage). Am going to try a tens machine this time

annobal · 24/05/2007 19:12

Hi JuicyLucy, hope all is well!

DaisysGotABigBump · 24/05/2007 19:17

LOL foxy...it's a ladies perogative dont you know

OP posts:
Juicylucytoo · 24/05/2007 19:21

No babies today by the looks of it Daisy. Everythings gone v. quiet. There will probably be a splurge of them tomorrow and then of course mine is arriving on time on Tuesday, totally under his own steam in my birthing pool after about 20 minutes of labour

foxybrown · 24/05/2007 19:24

That's what I like Juicylucy! Positive thinking! You go girl!

kittykitt · 24/05/2007 19:24
