WonkyDonk87 · 09/07/2018 10:08

Congratulations Summer, that's lovely news. Hope you both feel better soon and are able to get home. X

DoAsDreamersDo · 09/07/2018 17:10

Congratulations @Summer1986 on the birth of your daughter xxx

Quick question grads: how is your weight gain? Sorry to be so rude first thing in the morning Grin

Just weighed myself for the first time in ages. Up 8lbs since Feb, which feels like quite a lot for 21 weeks. Was a little pudgy to start with anyway but really don't want to pile it on this time in case I can't shift it.

DoAsDreamersDo · 10/07/2018 13:41

I'm just coming up to 19 weeks and I'm not sure I've put much weight on. Between week 6 and 16 I'd lost 2kg (probably due to feeling sick all of the time) so I've probably just put that back on again.

I found stretch marks on my stomach this morning though, which was fun!

LimpLettice · 10/07/2018 14:40

A fair amount of mine is in the last fortnight Dreamers as I have definitely ballooned a bit although I must say to look at it all appears to be bump which I suppose is some comfort. Pfft to stretch marks. I am calling mine tiger stripes in defiance.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 10/07/2018 17:29

@Summer1986. Congratulations Flowers

@LimpLettice. I gained 28lbs with my last DD! I was mortified 😂 Living near an M&S with yummy cakes probably didn't help! Don't worry about weight though, it comes off :-)

No idea what I gained with DD but I know I never really shifted the last stone. Hence not wanting another extra this time! I don't feel fat that's true, and I'm enjoying the gut being obviously preggers rather than just plump and droopy Smile just wondering if the chocolate consumption was a step too far.

WonkyDonk87 · 10/07/2018 18:58

I'm only ten weeks - all my weight is biscuit and laziness induced. Going for a walk along the beach tonight, do you think i can drop a dress size or two? 🙏🏻🤦🏽‍♀️

WonkyDonk87 · 11/07/2018 17:12

Deffo. Tried on two swimming costumes yesterday - epic fail. I looked like a bag of weasels.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/07/2018 17:31

@WonkyDonk87. Oh My god wonks! I'm dying with laughter! The mental image of two weasels in a cozzie 😂😂😂 I'm still laughing. What do two weasels in a swimsuit look like??

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/07/2018 17:32

I just re reae that you didn't write two bit that's what I have in mind - one for each half 😂😂

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/07/2018 17:33

I'll type that again - I just re read that you didn't write two weasels but that's the image I have in my mind - one for each half 😂😂

WonkyDonk87 · 11/07/2018 18:07

Alas dear @LookingAtTheStars89 , I looked like many, many weasels. It was a sorry state of affairs. I'm telling myself 'it's just bloating' 😉

I look like a grumpy bitch! Every evening at this time I feel grumpy, I think it's because I'm so fatigued. It's more annoying because I swear men don't get it, I'm 99% sure DH doesn't believe in feeling hormonal Hmm. I can't wait until I'm further along and I can stuff my fat little face with chocolate without the PCOS interference crap!

I must be the most boring wife at the minute, I'm crampy and asleep by 10 lol

LimpLettice · 11/07/2018 19:44

Looking I've been married 2 months and consider 10pm a late night. I'm irritable and moody by 8pm, I know I am but I just can't help it! I don't want chocolate now, I'm worried about gdd, so I can't even do that! Poor DH I'm such a delight 🙄

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/07/2018 22:01

@LimpLettice. I've never had GD, which is lucky considering I have PCOS. I don't think I have insulin resistant PCOS though. My Mum has diabetes but whenever ive had my blood sugars taken.they bern good so fingers crossed i will escape it.

I did have a piece of cake tonight as I couldn't manage much of my tea and thought it was better to eat something than nothing.

LimpLettice · 12/07/2018 11:36

I eat far too much sugar as it is. Diabetes in the family makes me worry as it will scupper any chance of midwifery unit birth, so am trying to cut back a bit!

SoozC · 12/07/2018 12:29

Blimey, I didn't realise it prevented midwife birth, no idea if I'll get it but am overweight so possibly. What should I cut down on?!
