HUGE congrats Dippy, and thinking of all the others waiting, at least im not alone...yet.

Heidle- you must be pushing it- wernt you due mid April? Will they induce you?

LesleyR · 01/05/2007 18:09

We're home!

George will have to take antibiotics for the next 6 months and needs to go back for more scans in case he has bladder reflux and damaged kidneys. Thankfully he's pretty much back to his normal self - I was so relieved when he started crying properly again.

I had a bit of a wobble when we got home. Despite wanting to escape from hospital, I felt a bit panicked about him being ill again and not noticing it. DH had to go back to work and when he said he was going I burst into tears. My brother and his partner have been round this afternoon to keep me company and I feel a bit more normal.

Congrats to all new mummies and daddies. Lovely names and cute pics. Are there many April ladies still waiting? Labour vibes to you if you are.

I'm so very tired so don't know when I'll be on again. Need to get caught up with sleep and housework and gazing at my precious boy who is okay!!!

Thanks to all for lovely supportive messages and to Ellie for keeping you all up to date.

Sexonknackeredlegs · 01/05/2007 18:34

Hiya ladies.

Emmymummy, I am so sorry to hear you are feeling blue. I remember when I went a week over with Becky, I felt exactly the same. Huge hugs to you, and let's hope it isn't too much longer.

And of course to all the other mummies in waiting - willing those babies out for you!

xx

Tili · 01/05/2007 19:31

hello all

Thank you for all your well wishes we are both doing well and I am starting to feel much better.

Big congrats to all those who have had there babies since I had Alex. And a big thanks to Bramshott my buddy for letting you all know and for her labour vibes text.

my birth story well.....

Went to see consultant for a routine app.she gave me an internal to see how things were so to speak only to find I was 5cm dialated!!! She told me to go straight home get my stuff together and dial 999 as I was in active labour and not feeling a thing she said Imust go by ambulance due to my first baby only being 2.5 hrs start to finish.
So we got to hospital they examined me found I hadnt dialated anymore so they broke my waters I started having contractions 3 mins apart instantly and 1 hour 30mins later Alex arrived in 3 pushes!!!
It was a wonderfully relaxed birth to be honest despite the damage to me!!
Another drawback was after Id had the stitches I fainted twice which frightened the life out of poor DH as he didnt know what was happening it turned out that it was just because I hadnt eaten since breakfast and had done the whole labour thing so my blood sugars went a bit low.
We came home the next morning and all is well he is a little star and Beth just adores him.

Will try and send some pics when have more time.

Anyway must go Take care all and good luck to those still waiting.

Thinking of you all new mummies and waiting xxxx

Tili, great birth story, actually, read Maveta's too and Weeonions, isn't it weird that it's nice to read about other peoples pain Well done to you all though

Hello Ellie, how are you and the ds's?

EllieKthePA · 01/05/2007 21:19

knackered

OP posts:
EllieKthePA · 01/05/2007 21:19

seriously tho, we're good, i'm very lucky that they both sleep well and Matthew is really good with Joe, only having the occasional behaviour blip

Eddas · 01/05/2007 21:23

Think tiredness comes with the job

I'm soooo bad when i haven't had enough sleep. ds is pretty good, he wakes every 3 hours(sometimes longer) but goes straight back to sleep, well if he doesn't I don't hear him.

dd been good with him too bless her. Have to say it's really nice to be able to cuddle her without a bump in the way and really appreciating not having to tell her off for kicking my tummy. Not that she did it on purpose but a 3 year olds feet are rarely still

EllieKthePA · 01/05/2007 21:25

matthew never kicked my tummy, but then he never stayed still for long enough to get his feet near me!

EllieKthePA · 01/05/2007 21:38

goodnight all xx

OP posts:
heidle · 02/05/2007 08:25

good morning!!
surprise surprise, I'm still here - and on my own by the looks of it...........yup.

hope you are all off having babies, okay then, I'll be last.
glitterkitty - I know what you mean about dates - 17th was date by scan, but by weeks, I'm 41 today, so not long till induction looms now I'm sure............damn it!

hope you're all well, will check in later for all the gossip/twinges.

Emmymummy · 02/05/2007 09:32

Morning - Heidle I'm still here too, and also 41 weeks today. MW coming here this morning and she'll do another sweep, so fingers crossed this kicks something off this time.

It's funny as at this stage with my last pregnancy (i.e. exactly 41 weeks), I was in the process of giving birth. So at 12.40 today I will officially be more pregnant than I have ever been IYSWIM. Shall I crack open the champagne? .

Anyway, hope the other ladies-in-waiting are doing OK. Haven't heard from GMM for a while, maybe she's got some news for us?

glitterkitty · 02/05/2007 09:33

Morning! 40+5 and still no baby here.

Just cleaned my kitchen and now going to paint front door. Am very bored and work seems to be the only answer. Had pain and lots of contractions last night but it all came to nothing.

Oh! Did anyone see the news this morning about the lack of midwives and that poor woman labouring in corridor?!?!!?
