Boo!

She's back!!

.... and I ain't going P/N til my SE Buddy Emmymummy does!! So hurry up .... waving labour flags for you .... and for everyone on here who is fed-up and overdue ..... [[hugs]

All my girls are in bed, bless 'em - Phoebe is the only one actually sleeping though. DD1 and DD2 feel asleep in the car on the way home from the Birthing Centre and are compeltely wired so could be a while before they stop bouncing off the walls ..... sigh.....

I don't really know what to say - soooo weird reading through all the msgs since my announcement that I was off to the Birthing Centre....Thank you for all your lovely messages of support and congratulations ....

I'll be sure to post a Birth Story when my head is a lot straighter.....

Phoebe is wonderful - so beautiful and the girls adore her already ...

I'll email some pics round tomrrow pm when DD1 and 2 are at nursery ....

Evening! away tumbleweeds]]] How´s everyone? Dh is just trying to settle Noah so thought I´d grab a second to say hellooooooo...

Everything is going really well so far.. don´t know what I will do without dh when he goes back to work. Luckily it´s not for another 10 days but still.. I can see how much harder it will all be when I´m on my own all day and how nice it is to have someone to share the stress with when he just won´t stop crying. TBH we can´t complain, he doesn´t cry overly much, wind is the biggest culprit at the moment and we really feel like novices but we´re working it out little by little. And as hard as it sometimes is, it´s double or triple that in beautiful and wonderful so it´s all good. Can you tell the baby blues haven´t kicked in yet?? LOL. Am only on day 4 so give me time, they´ll come...

Breastfeeding is going okay, my milk came in last night so my boobs have been really sore today and my poor old nips will never ever be the same. Is there anything we do for them that DOESN´T involve pain??!

Anyway, just wanted to keep you company for a moment.. going to be really lazy and x-post with postnatal and then better get off and do something before dh finds me...

Emmymummy · 02/05/2007 21:22

Hello CD - really sweet of you to stick with me until I can pass over to the 'over side' . Hoping it won't be long now as having lots of twinges today after being poked and prodded by the MW this morning. Very much looking forward to seeing some pics of Phoebe - did you notice that all the SE meet up ladies have had / are having girls?

Hope you're getting through the nights OK, off to bed shortly, but 'speak' tomorrow with any luck - need to hear all about Phoebe's birth! xxx

oooggs · 02/05/2007 21:50

Hi all thinking of you, can't wait til we can all be togther again [huge soppy emotion] cos it is too difficult for this very tired twin mummy to keep up with two threads ok, well to be honest I can keep up with the other thread either but I am trying!!!!

Hurry up

EllieKthePA · 02/05/2007 22:12

Arrrrrgggghhhhhhh! S T I L L N O B A B Y.

heidle · 03/05/2007 07:57

good morning (again)
I'm still here, anyone else?
feeling so tired this morning, can't have got more than an hours sleep. I convinced myself I was being left too long, and that my placenta will fail before midife appt on friday (which thank god is of course now tomorrow)
and coz it's polling day at ds2's nursery I have him all day, so no chance of a nap!!! boo hiss boo
sorry for complaining, hope I shall feel more positive later on

hope you are all sat up in bed after quick and easy labour having tea and toast!!!!!!

heidle · 03/05/2007 07:57

aha, morning EM!!

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 08:10

Hello Heidle. Booo to having to look after ds all day - can you stick him in front of the TV and have a snooze on the sofa? Are you (like me) thinking this is never ever going to happen?

bumble75 · 03/05/2007 08:26

Morning Ladies... not much sleep here either last night, feel like I've been hit by a truck. Emmy - completely agree, this baby is in for the long haul, is it ever going to make an appearance?????

Went to midwife yesterday, she is coming on Sat to visit and attempt a sweep and plan what we do next. Hoping something happens in the meantime. Also said I had a flush about me that she often sees just before women go into labour - personally I think this was just from the effort of driving the car the 2 minutes up the road .

heidle · 03/05/2007 08:37

yep, am now of the opinion that my bump will slowly get smaller, and be re-absorbed by my body
I just can't imagine a baby in the house again! I can't imagine the weight, the smell, the cuddles, basically the cot having anything in it other than my labour bag.
as my friends all told me last night though, all babies come out eventually!!!!!
and every day is a day less to wait I suppose. If I was sleeping better, I know I'd feel better.

anyway LOL at driving 2 minutes up the road - I have been driving the kids to school this week - I don't think it's even half a mile To be fair (to myself) I do have to make the trip 3 times a day, and I'm sick of it!

anyway who knows, we could all go today, and enjoy the bank holiday weekend surrounded by visitors and presents!!!!!!!!
(fingers crossed)

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 08:37

Ha Bumble! At least you're allowed to drive the car! Have been banned, but might sneak out this morning before I go MMMAAAAAAADDDDDDD

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 08:38

LOL at bump being re-absorbed Heidle!

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 08:38

LOL at bump being re-absorbed Heidle!

claricebean · 03/05/2007 08:40

Morning emmymummy, heidle and bumble

Really hope it won't be too long for you now. I went over my dates for the first time this time and was at the tardy attitude of my baby. Must be even worse to be at the end of the April queue IYSWIM. So hugs to you all.

muminasaggytummy · 03/05/2007 08:41

[[[HUGS]]]

Lets hope today is the day!!!

Much love and thinking of you
xx

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 08:42

Hello Clarice. DD was 7 days late too, and this one is now 8 days late, so am destined to have tardy babies. Am hoping this one is late as she's so laid back!

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 08:43

Ha one of my friends has just texted me to say the baby will be talking by the time she comes out!

heidle · 03/05/2007 08:47

FIL has just asked (in a very jovial voice) 'where's this baby then?' I managed to restrain myself from a graphic explination.....FFS! as if I'm holding it in to P everyone off

Eddas · 03/05/2007 08:51

Morning everyone, especially, EM, Heidle and Bumble oh and of course anyone else still waiting. It seems like an endless wait doesn't it. I don't think they should give us a due date, just a due period. Then you wouldn't keep thinking 'it's due tomorrow' or 'it was due last week'. And I think it's worse the second time round. I'm sure I wasn't as impatient when dd was late as i was with ds.

Sending huge labour vibes to everyone, come on babies

Eddas · 03/05/2007 08:52

those comments are sooooo helpful

Just be thankful you're not being teased in the thread titles

bumble75 · 03/05/2007 08:54

Luckily haven't had too many calls or comments yet... dh's friends are actually worse than mine, on the phone to him every night!

Off for some brekky, will be back later, have a good day all.

xxx

duchesse · 03/05/2007 10:54

Ladies! All the best babies come at least 10 days "late". Although "due date" is a very relative concept- it should be called "due month". 40 weeks is only an average to encompass the fact that the majority of full term babies are born between 38 and 42 weeks. 42 weeks is as normal as 40 or 38. It depends on the baby, on the pregnancy, and on the mother. Essentially though, they come out when they're good and ready.

If I ever get pregnant again, I shall lie to everyone about dates, as it was the most annoying thing about my first pregnancy. The next two times, I gave people a date two weeks later than the midwife's date.

Good luck with these last few days.
