ladies, i have a dilemma. it'll take your mind off those tardy babies i hope ...............

I suffer from Narcolepsy but thankfully it's quite mild and i can 'manage' it with the aid of daytime naps and not having much of a life there is medication but i didn't like it so chose to stop taking it and just live around the condition.

just had a letter from my consultant, they are conducting a trial across Europe with a new drug. would i like to participate in the trial?

part of me says yes, it's worth a go if it means i can live a 'normal' life, at the moment i'm ok but i really struggled when matthew was between the ages of 18mths and 3yrs, and i expect to have the same problem with Joe.

so if i speak to them and i can take the drug while breastfeeding, do i give it a go?

Morning! All a bit mad and chaotic in DippyLand; but very happy! DH just taken DD1 and DD3 out for a little walk as DD1 wanted "to take Phoebe Baby for walk", bless. DD2 sleeping. DD1&2 off to nursery this PM - hurrah!

[[hugs] to those stil waiting - xx

Gosh, yes, Emmymmuym - all the SE Meet-Up mums have had little girls - how funny! It'll be soooo cool to meet up post-natally and paint the town pink!!!

Hi Duchesse - Lovely to "see" you honey!

Mmmmm, not much to say, just "hello" really.....

I think you need to find out more about this drug before you participate in the trial Ellie - esp as you have a young family and are coping alone atm. Find out about poss side-effects and how long it is going to take etc etc .... You've a lot to consider, iyswim!!? Esp the side effects part of it - Would be WONDERFUL if this drug really works though!

Eddas · 03/05/2007 11:59

I think i've mentioned it but i'm in the SE and would love to join inthe next meet up. Would I spoil it with my blue baby

EllieKthePA · 03/05/2007 12:02

i'm thinking i might travel down for the SE meet up, Suffolk is soooooo boring and i've promised Matthew a holiday

Morning mums-in-waiting, and hello to Duchesse - lovely to see you.

A meet up again would be great, tho I think we need to make it somewhere other than Southampton, as it was so far for Dippy to travel to.

And of course Eddas you can come - just make sure you dress your lo in pink!!

x

Hi everyone,
Nice to see you again Dippy! Glad things are going well.
Thanks for popping in duchesse - I was regretting not lying or being vague about my due date, I really should have added a week on.
Good luck to everyone still waiting! We've had a few days now with no baby news so I bet at least one of you in the next 48 hours!

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 13:22

Hello again everyone.

Duchesse - good to see you honey. I think you're right about dates, I should have told everyone a later date as it was bound to happen (dd was 7 days late). Have just been with my mum and she was telling me that I was born 11 days late, in fact I came on the day before she was due to be induced. Also MIL was saying that she was induced with my dh. So this was bound to happen! Ho hum.

Hi CD - glad its all going well - where are the photos of Phoebe? Need my baby-fix!

Ellie - agree with CD about the drugs trial - you need to find about about side effects, what the trial involves, and how far the drug has been developed to date. Has it been tested on humans so far? If it works then fantastic, but do some more research first.

The dress is lovely - they've only got it in beige, but that looks lovely too. I have a party to go to in a few weeks time too and was wondering what I could wear, and that might just be the thing for me too. Only problem is I'm still gonna have a huge wobbly tummy by then (esp if this LO doesn't get out soon). The dress is a good price as well. Tell you what, buy it and tell me if it's as nice as the pictures!

Another SE meet-up would be lovely. SOKL is right though, S'ton was a long way for CD and would also be a long way for Ellie and Eddas I think. Maybe somewhere closer to London?

I wonder how Elkie is getting on with her induction? Hope she's doing OK.

Katy44 · 03/05/2007 13:24

She's maybe planning on nursing her doll!
I might have a look round that site, I've never seen it before.

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 13:25

Just noticed it say "This knee length dress is further decorated by silk pink ribbon belt and ham". Ham????

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 13:26

Hello Katy BTW. How're you doing?

EllieKthePA · 03/05/2007 13:31

I really like the wrap dress Ellie. It is 115 Euros though so should be nice!

Emmymummy · 03/05/2007 13:39

And it has the added bonus of no ham.
