I want to join fb gp but when i open mn webpage and then attempt to go into the aug 2018 thread it auto opens in the app. Help!! Can i search the name of the fb group (what is it?) or wont that work as its private?

Facebook is a bit too public for me I'm afraid , and I hardly use it

I really hope I get my harmony results today. It could be today at the earliest so I shouldn't expect them till Friday really. But I can't help hoping! The wait is so hard!

Yay for second trimester youcantbesirius! I’m 13+1 and not feeling the let up of first trimester symptoms yet. Still retching lots and exhausted. I’m waiting for my scerene glow!

squirrel I had a call from the hospital yesterday to say they’d had a delay in processing mine and another person’s sample and they need more time. They said the lab had said up to another week but it wouldn’t be that long ... day 10 today! 😭

With you on that one @StrawberryLemonade - 13+3 and not really feeling lots better yet. I thought it had eased this weekend so got a bit cocky lol! Then ended up returning my breakfast 🤢

I don't have a facebook and don't really want to sign up. Too invasive and public for my liking.

I have started feeling really anxious again, I don't know wether to book a private gender scan for feb, but it would only be 3 weeks before my nhs one, what would others do?

Functionally wise FB would be better for me and I really enjoy getting to know the real "you" (for all of you! My friends built this app and I'm so annoyed at them for missing out some pretty basic , much needed functionality!

For private groups you can choose that they don't show up in your main news feed -'to avoid confusion - and they are automatically set to most recent activity. I find scrolling through the group and having it as a separate 'thing' more special/compartmentalised. And there is a search feature! So no more scrolling for ages to find a post or your place.

Also you can set it that you only get notifications when you are mentioned or someone engages with your post/comment.

Okay - that's my persuasion 😂

@caffeinedragon £59 here so i dont think thats too bad.. its worth it to reassure us isn't it! And impatient also, my mum just doesn't understand why i want to know, as 'in her day we had to wait till baby waa born' (her words 😂)

@CaffeineDragon the private groups on fb aren't automatically the most recent activity 😕 My May 2017 antenatal MN Group has a fb page and I set it so it wouldn't come up on my main news feed (as we are a chatty bunch) but the posts come up all higgledy piggledy. I'll look in the morning and it will show nothing new for that day and the most recent post may be eg 8pm the night before, with a few posts from the previous couple of days. A few hours later I won't be able to find the 8pm post but there will be about 4 posts from the previous evening which weren't there before. I miss so many posts it's frustrating 😞

@Gizzymum it may mean the most recent commented on or liked S opposed to posted unfortunately. I find I have to refresh mine about two times on the mobile app to get it to update. I do still miss things but not as much as I do on here!
