This is my second scan I had one at 7 weeks and they measured me about 5 days behind what I think my EDD is so we'll see what happens today!

I'm so nervous I'm glad it's this morning.

@E2017 and @babydreaming my scan is on Monday yes! Hoping it will make everything seem more real then!

So exciting hearing you have all been or going for scans. I got home to my scan letter last night. Only got to wait until 13th Feb now... if only it was 14th Feb that would have been the perfect valentines gift!

Is anybody else having the most vivid and weird dreams? Last night i had a dream I took my two dogs to my old swimming pool. My Dachshund started flirting with the receptionist and flexing his little legs in the pool whilst swimming... I saw a completely different side to my gentle, quite and loving dog - not sure i can look at him the same way again.

My scan is the 13th too! :)

I have been having very weird dreams too. Its like a private showing of my very own feature film every night. Your dog flirting with the receptionist is brilliant hahaha!

So today I’ve lifted a heavy box and have strained my back at work. Would like some reassurance that it won’t affect my baby. I know I seem stupid and naive but I’ve always lifted boxes I can carry but today I lifted something without testing the weight and really hurt my back. Now I have a few cramps :(

@Gem173 due to pregnancy hormones and the arrival of the bump it means ligaments etc are more stretchy (so joints, including your spine, are more slightly, and I mean very slightly, less stable) and your stomach muscles can't help as much when lifting. I'd imagine any pains are simply muscles complaining as they've been made to work in a way that they are no longer capable of doing. Try to take it easy for a couple of days so your back can recuperate.

Well ladies here is my scan! Measuring at 12+ 2 so EDD has now moved to 7/8/18

They were wriggling around like crazy, kept pushing their hand up as if they were saying get off! Lol absolutely amazing!
NT fluid well within the range too so fingers crossed for my blood results in the next 2 weeks

So sorry to hear your news Eloisa hope you are being taken care of.

Gem, Gizzy is absolutely right - it's probably just your muscles complaining, take it easy if you can and let your back settle. Without wishing to sound like your mum, when you lift are you bending over or squatting and then lifting? If something is heavy, you're perhaps less likely to do yourself damage if you start from level with it rather than over it, if you see what I mean (ignore me if this is something you know already - I don't want to teach you to suck eggs!). I mention it because I lifted weights through my last pregnancy, and the trainer I worked with was extremely fussy about technique for that reason.

Had dating scan but too early so got another in 2 wks. 10 plus 5. All looks ok so far.....

Don’t worry you don’t sound like my Mum lol, she still doesn’t even know yet. I lifted a heavy box from a trolley (like supermarket ones) onto a desk that’s about hip height. I think i didn’t realise how heavy it was and just lightly took hold of it instead or properly grasping each corner and bending knees! Cramps have settled and no bleeding so all seems okay

I had my scan this morning too! It took 3 attempts, lots of jumping and walking around and 1.5 hours to do. 🙈 This one is naughty and was upside down and back to front, then flapping his/her arms around in protest at having been woken up! DC1 was exactly the same. So amazing to see the little heartbeat, I feel so much less anxious now. EDD moved back from 8th to 10th August.

@LadesC @smashycup glad both your scans went well!

So exciting that we're all having them done now and in the next couple of weeks.

@Sugarskulllover glad to hear yours went well too. It is so exciting! I've just booked a private one for a few weeks' time because I don't think I can handle an 8 week wait to see baby again.

Sooo lovely to see and hear about the scans! I have mine Tuesday. While I'm still so worried I will get there and something will be wrong a huge part of me is more excited to make sure she/he is ok!
