Hi eca, lovely to see you, and yes, we need photos!!

CaptainDippy · 23/04/2007 12:13

Awwww, DD1 just got home and DD2 woken up - Both cuddled up on the sofa together watching Auntie Mabel and Pippin - I love moments like these - makes me realise how wonderful having my LO's is!!

Bless!

DH coming home soon. He is working at home this PM as we have the piano tuner coming and someone is coming to give us quote for flattening and re-turfing our lawn and mending the fence .... Which leaves me free to have the car and go and have coffee at a friends while our LO's play and drop off a couple of bits at variuos places - Then I can come home knowing DH is there to help me out with tea and the girls .....

Hello eca!! great to "see" you - hope you are doing well honey! I'm still here ...... Groan .....

CaptainDippy · 23/04/2007 12:15

Yes, Eca, I demand cute baby photos!!!

heidle · 23/04/2007 12:39

good afternoon ladies!
glad to hear you are all having pain-free relaxing days (so far - not that I mind if my day gets painfull) tried tesco this morning, but no breaking waters - boo hiss boo!
the good news is though, we have booked our summer holidays, so now I have something to look forward to (other than the pain of childbirth.....)
am looking forward to chilling on the beach in mallorca with my 3 kids.......will there be much chilling though ? not till the end of august, but hey, I can start getting excited now can't I?
especially at changing the name on the 5th plane ticket from 'infant x'........won't be long now (please) till we know the flavour!

Katy44 · 23/04/2007 12:41

glitterkitty................................................................................want to join me in a glass of virtual wine tonight??
(Didn't want to post something so flippant on the other thread!)

Katy44 · 23/04/2007 12:42

Ooh heidle lovely, you have a holiday to look forward to! When are you due?
Did they really put down Child X?! PMSL! I thought it would be Baby (Your surname)!!

EllieKthePA · 23/04/2007 12:42

well, midwife caused merry hell in the kirkby/catterwell household.

she didn't turn up til 12, so i was trying to cook matthew's lunch. had to do all stuff with her when i would normally be feeding Joe while matthew's food is in oven, so by the time she left at 12.30 i had overcooked fishfingers and a screaming baby!

but hey, Joe weighs 9lb 6oz so i'm doing something right!

Poor Joe and Matthew That was bad timing on her part! Glad Joe is putting on weight!

Hello Heidle - mmmm beach in Mallorca sounds lovely. Blue skies, clean sand, clear blue water....very nice indeed. We're not being so brave this year, so it's Cornwall for us. But we're staying in a fab hotel and we love bucket & spade holidays (and all that clotted cream ice-cream). It's just nice to have a hoilday to look forward to really .

Well Bramshott is looking very slim and Orla is gorgeous and very, very good, so in all am extremely . No doubt next time we meet I will still be dragging a huge saggy belly around (but at least the baby will be OUT!).

Talking of the baby coming out, the head is definately engaged now as I can really feel it pressing down, and I have some ribs again under my boobs. Somethings on the move.......

Emmymummy · 23/04/2007 12:48

Ellie - you should have got the MW to cook Matthew's lunch instead of causing chaos!

maveta · 23/04/2007 12:52

Heidle - coming to Mallorca?? How fab! Whereabouts will you be? We´ll have to meet up for a coffee or something so stay in touch and let me know nearer the time. Would be fab to have a mini mini MN meetup!

I´ve been looking at swim nappies too.. going to get an Imse Vimse one.. my mum bought me a cute one but it´s just pull on pants and that seems a little dangerous to me (image of trying to pull off nappies with a great big poo in them.. mmmm.. niiiiice) whereas the other ones have poppers at the side so you can take them off like a normal nappy. Oh they are just TOO CUTE.

Katy44 · 23/04/2007 12:52

I have a sudden craving for lemon juice, so need to get some salad or something for it to go on.
Right, clothes on and asda time!

EllieKthePA · 23/04/2007 12:52

she did tell him it smelt good - he told her to go back to the hospital and get her own

you've turned me into a stalker Katy

you mentioned 'the other thread' so i had to investigate! the 'better than thou' attitude on that thread really pisses me off.

has no one had a baby yet? (Apart from possibly Pesha - was meaning us left over ones)
If I concentrate really hard do you think it'll have any effect?

glitterkitty · 23/04/2007 12:55

Katy- LOL! Arent we being restrained and calm and thoughtful?! And at 40 weeks pg! applauds us must be the drink!

Katy44 · 23/04/2007 12:56

Better pour yourself a glass of wine to calm down! Anyone on MN tonight needs a virtual one I think!

Katy44 · 23/04/2007 12:56

Or I'm just too miserable at waiting to let my normal hormonal side show through!
Are you joining me in a virtual glass of wine tonight?

Emmymummy · 23/04/2007 12:56

Ha ha - good for Matthew!

What's this ohter thread?

Katy44 · 23/04/2007 12:57

a thread about foetal alcohol syndrome

glitterkitty · 23/04/2007 12:59

Hmmm... I might have a real one (v small, obv). My mum had a vodka and tonic on xmas day and gave birth to my bro 12 hrs later worth a go?

Katy44 · 23/04/2007 13:00

I can't believe that parent and toddler car parking space one still hasn't really kicked off! Maybe people are just immune to them now!
Shall I go on and say disabled drivers have plenty of space and they should turn some disabled bays into normal bays for those of us who are in a hurry and only want a couple of things?? (That's not really hat I think by the way, just ensuring I have something to read when I get back from Asda)
