Bugmum - I really know how you feel.. sometimes it's hard to pick yourself up when you start feeling sorry for yourself.. yesterday it took me until about 5pm to slap myself around the face and give myself a good talking to but I did feel miles better for it... I find a good thing to do in that situation is to go for a long walk just to clear the cobwebs out. Hope it all happens for you very very soon x

BefnalBub · 21/04/2007 19:59

hello there, another lurker from the May thread! Good luck to all of you still waiting and congrats to all of you with amazingly quick births! Do let us know what combination of RLT & Tablet strengths work best so that we can start gearing up!

LOL at those of you who want to come and join us - you are more than welcome since most of may seem to be spending equal amounts of time on here getting a heads up of whats to come for us next month.

xx

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2007 20:15

Think DH and I are going to watch a DVD together tonight so not going to be too long otherwise it'll get late and we will be too tired (how sad & old are we!!!?)

All was fine at AN appt - baby still well engaged, BP and urine fine, baby decent size, heartbeat good ....... All ready to Rock and Roll ......

Fed up here too and also having anxious feelings about coping with a newborn again, coping with 3 LO's, keeping a routine, having "me" time, keeping my job etc etc etc - What a muddle.

{{{{{{HUGS}}}}} to everyone cos it sounds like we all need them right now! Thank you for kind, sensible words maveta honey - Think we all need one of those face slaps, well, I know I do!!!!!

So slap me .......

Right, going to go and chill ......

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2007 20:15

I won't be crashing the May thread either, Bugmum - Not my style - I love you guys too much!!

CaptainDippy · 21/04/2007 20:16

No babies today then??

Hope Pesha and weeonion are ok and holding their precious LO's!

Bugmum · 21/04/2007 21:07

Thanks for the link, Maveta

Oooh, can't wait to go for long walks again! Sad, I know, but the SPD has me fairly immobile and that I find depressing. Can't wait to use my lovely, lovely, lovely new double buggy ('tis gorgeous!!! Aqua - how cool is that?) and just start...you know, having a normal life again. Though like Dippy, am rather apprehensive about how I achieve that

Oh well, slaps all round!
xx

Hello

maveta · 21/04/2007 21:37

Hi Befnalbub! Wow I would imagine lurking on here is the LAST thing you guys should be doing.. I lurked a little on the March thread back in february and it got me so anxious! LOL. I don´t think we´ve even worked out the RLT dosage TBH, everyone´s just been taking whatever their bottle says except Katy44 who´s just making it up as she goes along although I think if I pass my due date I might have the odd tablet extra here and there...

CD - slAAAPP! (is that better??) Hope you enjoy your dvd with dh...

Bugmum - Oh I´m sorry I had forgotten about your SPD - well that was helpful and sensitive advice then, wasn´t it??! Well, you know what I meant anyway.. I put off and put off cleaning the kitchen last week and actually really enjoyed it once I got around to it - just kept me busy and my mind OFF baby stuff just for a bit. Yes, this is how low we´ve all got, girls. Cleaning the kitchen is a great bit of diversion

Pesha · 21/04/2007 21:51

Hey ellie, whats up?

EllieKthePA · 21/04/2007 21:58

Pesha · 21/04/2007 22:05

Ahh yes, it can be abit of a bitch cant it?! Anything in particular you want to talk about or not really? You can email or text me if you want.

Or if you wanna forget about it you can listen to me moan about my pre labour and how I want this baby out and you can sit there thinking ' Make the most of it love!'

EllieKthePA · 21/04/2007 22:11

missing Stephen lots. even tho we're not together i've seen him every weekend. haven't seen him since weds before last. he hasn't met Joe yet. and he's the one person that really matters to me.

Matthew's dad was a twat earlier.

Joe's dad is permanently a twat.

Matthew was hyper. but i miss him now he's at his dad's.

Joe is lovely but now smells of his dad. i want to cuddle him lots but want him to smell like Joe again.

As Stephen said, i have too many men in my life (just not the one i desperately want )

and i'm lonely.

and now i'm blimmin well crying again

EllieKthePA · 21/04/2007 22:16

and i think Joe is getting colic

OP posts:
octo · 21/04/2007 22:22

Ahhh big hugs ellie (((hugs))) - I think you are doing amazingly

Just a quick hello from me - all fine here - Ernie is mega cute - slept between feeds last night instead of screaming which is great - going to see cranial osteopath on monday about colic/wind - they seem pretty sure can sort it in one session - which at £48 a hit is quite a relief

ernie weeing through his smaller nappies in 2 hours - maybe just need some extra washes through to get max absorbency - the xs sandys and weenotions are mega cute but only just do up!!

Have midwife check in morning so will get him weighed, learn tummy massage for wind and get latch checked - engorgement on its way out - thank goodness!!!!

Hope you are all well - haven't read much I'm afraid - will check stats thread to see who is still waiting and who has arrived!

Take care all xxxx

octo · 21/04/2007 22:24

I know where you are at Ellie! Ted had colic for 8 weeks and Ernie def has trapped wind or colic - its the pain and screaming that really upsets me as there is nothing you can do for them - hence trip to osteopaths. A friend found a homeopath sorted her little girl out within 3 days - next on my list!!!

EllieKthePA · 21/04/2007 22:29

hmm, might have to start investigating, Matthew had it for 3 months solid, was hoping Joe would avoid it ........

OP posts:
maveta · 21/04/2007 22:31

Hi Pesha! Hi Octo! Glad Ernie is settling down a bit, hope the cranial osteopath helps him.. making me envious with the nappy talk - I want to try mine out!! (lol lol - how much I will eat THOSE words!!)

Ellie love, sorry I missed you, posted and ran earlier. Sorry you are feeling a bit down.. baby blues maybe? Or not, not meaning to be dismissive, I can imagine it all feels a bit much for you right now. I´ve not got any advice and I suppose you don´t really need any anyway, but we are here when you want to offload, hope you feel better giving Joe lots of cuddles and giving him back your smell

Pesha · 21/04/2007 22:36

Give joe a bath or change him or just squirt abit of milk on him, breastfed babies smell lovely!

And when Matthew gets back you'll be able to appreciate him more for having had a break from him and give him lots of lovely cuddles (boys give the best cuddles dont they!) which you may not have done if he'd been with you peeing in the bed and keeping you up all night so this time apart will be time well spent.

Is there a reason why stephen hasnt met Joe yet? I can see that would be upsetting, perhaps he's abit scared somehow, men are ridiculously bad at facing their feelings about things, head in the sand seems to work much better for them. Well it doesnt but they still sem to keep trying it anyway

octo · 21/04/2007 22:47

Had my first MIL bf comment the other day ... along lines of

MIL: "are you feeding him yourself?"
me: "yes"
MIL: "aren't you going to supplement him?"
me: "its not the plan at the moment as its going really well"
MIL "he is quite big you know"

Followed by a phone call the next day

MIL: "are you still feeding him?"
me: (feeling unusually on the ball) "No, I am having my breakfast right now"

Feeling rather pleased with myself!!!

EllieKthePA · 21/04/2007 22:55

nice one octo

OP posts:
EllieKthePA · 21/04/2007 22:56

lol at the thought of me standing above Joe, squirting milk from my nipple onto his head

thanks Pesha!

OP posts:
EllieKthePA · 21/04/2007 22:58

and it's not that stephen doesn't want to meet him, he's longing to, just that everythng has conspired against him getting here. he had tickets to take his ds3 to football last saturday, then planned to take a day off to come in week but twice it got cancelled as he had to be in office. today he took ds2 to football, so hopefully tomorrow he'll be here

OP posts:
octo · 21/04/2007 23:00

Am off now - sleep well everyone

EllieKthePA · 21/04/2007 23:01
