No specific post-natal category so I've added it to the normal ante-natal category ...

Lovely to see the photos of all the babies.

Here's Iris. She's two months old today, it's flown by! She was 7lb4oz at birth & now weighs 10lb9oz, ff.

Loving all the pictures, they're all so cute!

Here is Freddie. 2 months old tomorrow. He was 6lb15 when he was born and 10lb at his 8 week check last week. Combination fed - 2 bottles of expressed breast milk a day and formula the rest of the time. I've just stopped expressing but have 60 bags of breast milk in the freezer.

We have no real routine - I've just started using a baby tracker app to see if we can identify any patterns. Back to doing the school run on weds so we'll have some routine to stick to then.

Thank you @Zampa :) I love your little girls name. I've not heard of it before, it's such a pretty name.

@butterybollocks what app are you using? I want to get an app to assist developing our routine.

I'm still getting things wrong. We got home from the park and Bea was crying so I tried to feed her, which enraged her. Turns out she was tired, I felt bad for misreading her cries!

butterybollocks · 06/01/2018 17:45

Sock I'm using one called baby tracker, it has an orange line drawing of someone holding a baby as the logo. It's pretty good, I like putting everything in there and it creates charts so you can look for patterns.

Oh such gorgeous babies!! Love the pictures! We’ve made a beautiful bunch haven’t we :)

@Lydia where Matilda was tongue tied and I was in so much pain the first couple of weeks feeding her, DH gave her bottles of expressed milk from when she was really little to give my nipples a rest so she is used to a mix of both. We have given her a little bit of formula since the start so I guess my supply has just adapted? She has about 4oz of formula a night. The GP suggested we give her a couple of ounces of boiled water too to help her poo more often.

Tildy smiles and laughs so much. I remember as a moody teenager my mum said I wasted all my smiles smiling so much as a baby, I hope this doesn’t mean I’ll get a moody teen like me someday ha.

Does everyone else take a gazillion photos a day? I can’t help myself! She was 7lbs 12 at birth, now 7 weeks old she’s 10lbs 8oz, combo of breastfed and bottle xx

Thank you @butterybollocks I've downloaded it, going to start using it tomorrow.

@Hazandduck Tildy looks very grown up. I'm not allowed to put Bea in tights and dresses as tights restrict her hips too much. I can't wait for her to be out her harness, she has received lots of dresses for Christmas and I can't wait to put her in then so she looks like Tildy!

Late to the photo party but here is Liliana a few days ago, she is 9 wks and EBF. Born at 7lb1, reckon she is about 10.5 lbs now but not had her weighed for a while. I actually have a hole in my nipple it's so painful :(

Thanks @theotherendofthesockportal. Leonore's name was inspired by the opera Fidelio which premiered on the day of her birth several hundred years ago.

Aww, smiling babies! Matilda and Liliana look so happy! I can't wait to get some smiles. Leonore's trying but nothing consistent.

Happy sleeping!

I am loving seeing all our beautiful babies and hearing how well they are progressing

butterybollocks · 07/01/2018 05:26

@theotherendofthesockportal when does bea come out of her harness?

theotherendofthesockportal · 07/01/2018 09:12

@butterybollocks we aren't sure when she will be out of the harness. The initial treatment time is 6-8 weeks. We are 5 weeks in now. Earlier tests showed she was responding to it as well as hoped so it will probably be longer, maybe 12 weeks. I'm just glad that it's the winter as the harness makes her a bit sweaty, it would be so much worse during the summer.

Motherhippy16 · 07/01/2018 11:41

Oh my goodness all of the babies are so adorable! Here's Ellis 7lb 8 at birth now just over 9lb. 3 weeks and 5 days old. Feel as though I can enjoy him a bit more now and as I'm relaxing a bit more so is he. Breast feeding is going so well now and breast pads are my new best friends! Even managed to go out by ourselves into town the other day which was a huge step forward. He slept from 12.30pm to 6am and then went back to sleep after a feed till 9.30! Even managed to have a go as of red when we had friends over last night which was lovely. Hope everyone has a beautiful day x

Sock hope the remaining time goes smoothly, you'll be bathing her and putting her in little dresses and tights before you know it Smile

@zampa how's your little one? Did you find out if she has bronchiolitis?

I've ridden my horse today for the first time since I got pregnant. It was fab. DD also rode so I did lots of running alongside her - exhausted now!

Zampa · 07/01/2018 23:41

@butterybollocks The doctor, on Friday, said that her chest was clear so less worried now. She still has her "smokers' cough" which disturbs her sleep but it is getting better.

Hope that you got to enjoy a post ride soak in a hot bath!

@butterybollocks fantastic news! I bet you will be stiff today 😜 I only had 10 days off and was stiff!

butterybollocks · 08/01/2018 08:06

I'm actually fine @durezidal! But that's probably because I was really lazy - my pony is on loan to a riding school which only teaches kids. He's really safe and lazy so he's perfect for the job and my DD can ride him, but he naps for me in the school now because he doesn't want to do proper work. So I got a lead off a friend and just cantered round behind her with a big grin on my face. At some point I'll book some lessons and actually ride properly. It was just lovely to be up at the yard.

DuRezidal · 08/01/2018 20:58

I have started back at the gym last week and am really pushing myself. I put a stone on with J so need to get myself back in shape as I have some big shows coming up in the next few months.

However, I am aching from head to toe after the session tonight 😡 I am finding muscles that I forgot existed.

lydiangel83 · 08/01/2018 21:19

That's good effort @DuRezidal I am feeling sorry for myself as was told today coccyx may never heal properly :( Also have a DD who will not be put down. She's 10 wks tomorrow :-/

theotherendofthesockportal · 08/01/2018 21:24

I'm on a mission to get fit. I wasn't the healthiest before I got pregnant but I realised Bea needs an active fit mum. I'm attempting to do 10000 steps a day which I find hard to do. I'm starting swimming once a week and a dance class.

Bea seems a bit out of sorts today, I'm not sure if it's leap 2 or if she is developing a sniffle,

Topsyloulou · 08/01/2018 21:39

I'm starting slimming world this week. I'm a stone heavier than pre pregnancy & it's all on my hips & thighs which is proving difficult when trying to buy a dress for a christening. I'm going to get out & walk lots too. Iris loves it in the pram or the sling & there are lots of nice woods to walk round near us. Going to try & meet up with friends to make it more enjoyable. I'm planning on joining a gym too, just want to wait for all of the January fuss to die down & for Iris to be a couple of weeks older as I'll be leaving her in the crèche while I go.

Iris had a great nap this morning while we were out but hasn't slept for more than 10 minutes since we got home at 1.30. She's so tired but she's still fighting it even now when she's in her grobag, in her crib with the light projector on! I'm picking up a bouncer with a vibrate function this week so will see if that helps her get some day time naps in. I'm happy to go out but I still have stuff to do at home & I need to start revising for two exams I've got coming up.

AccrualIntentions · 08/01/2018 21:55

I've started a diet this week, just tracking my calories using My Fitness Pal and keeping below daily limit. Over Christmas I regained far too much of the pregnancy weight which I'd totally lost and it needs to go.

We survived our first baby class today, a music and sensory thing. As expected DD wasn't that into it but she seemed to enjoy staring intently at all the other babies and being a bit sick on a cushion. I mainly feel a sense of achievement for getting us both ready and out of the house somewhere for a specific time, and her not totally disgracing herself.

Zampa · 08/01/2018 22:01

Oops - you're all busy getting fit and I've just consumed a bar of Green & Black's chocolate.

DD2 very much into comfort nursing. My nipple is a dummy! Going to the breast feeding cafe on Thursday to see if they can offer any advice.

theotherendofthesockportal · 08/01/2018 23:20

@Topsyloulou I'm trying slimming world too. I can't afford the weekly meetings, so just attempting it from home. We had chilli this evening which even got a thumbs up from DH.

DuRezidal · 08/01/2018 23:33

@lydiangel83 my friend had surgery on hers for this reason and it was the best thing she ever did! She's now back riding 3 horses a day with no issues whatsoever.

lydiangel83 · 09/01/2018 00:34

@Zampa ditto, and when I tried to sligo in an actual dummy she properly spat it out, several times! Was worth a try!

@DuRezidal thank you that's good to hear, apparently operation may or may not work but got to give it a try I guess!
