i mean, you haven't even got the start of it right, you missed 'Due in'

EllieKthePA · 05/04/2007 22:35

and i haven't de-briefed yo all on tea with the in-laws!

runnyhabbit · 05/04/2007 22:36

CD - me too. The May news is very. Don't want anyone to think I don't care, but there has been a lot of tradgedy in our families with babies and young children, and now I tend to go on auto pilot when I hear bad news. I guess its my coping mechanism.

runnyhabbit · 05/04/2007 22:36

does this mean I can't go for my bath yet

EllieKthePA · 05/04/2007 22:37

depends, do you want to laugh, lots?

CaptainDippy · 05/04/2007 22:38

I had nothing to do with starting a new thread - I logged on and it was sort of ... there ....

So - tea with the outlaws ...... ??

runnyhabbit · 05/04/2007 22:38

oohh, yes please

CaptainDippy · 05/04/2007 22:38

I would!

CaptainDippy · 05/04/2007 22:39

Captive audience Ellie!

EllieKthePA · 05/04/2007 22:39

ok, here goes .........

EllieKthePA · 05/04/2007 22:40

first i'll tell you about Cath at antenatal tonight, we nearly got in trouble for laughing!

CaptainDippy · 05/04/2007 22:41

Tut! Tut!

EllieKthePA · 05/04/2007 22:41

when the not-very-good-and-ever-so-slghtly-annoying midwife started talking about when you're ..... dilated we'll do this, then .... when you're 5cm etc, Cath quietly asked me how they know how far you are..........

when i informed her they look and use fingers to measure she looked shocked, then started to giggle

EllieKthePA · 05/04/2007 22:43

as for tea with the not-quite-inlaws, they were lovely, turns out he's been lying to them and me all along, told me allsorts that isn't true about them, like they wouldn't want anything to do with me cos i'd made him leave. nonsense.

CaptainDippy · 05/04/2007 22:43
Grin

EllieKthePA · 05/04/2007 22:44

spent the entire time discussing his failings and informing them of the things they don't know, and got his step-mum on side, they will be collecting the baby from me, or i'll be dropping it off, and they will not let him leave their house with baby!

runnyhabbit · 05/04/2007 22:44

they sound like nice people

EllieKthePA · 05/04/2007 22:45

so much for Mr 'i'm perfectly capable of looking after a baby', they said he had never looked after his nephews, he was not gonna be allowed to move back there, and in no circumstances was i to let him have baby alone cos they wouldn't trust him

I LOVE THEM!!!!!

CaptainDippy · 05/04/2007 22:45

Grrrr to Justin!

runnyhabbit · 05/04/2007 22:46

That must be one less thing for you to stress over. Reassuring to know that they know what he's really like iyswim.

EllieKthePA · 05/04/2007 22:46

then the doorbell went, his dad said you never know, it might be him, and his smum (his mum died when he was young) said if it was she'd tell him to go away!

CaptainDippy · 05/04/2007 22:47

Yey to his parents!

EllieKthePA · 05/04/2007 22:48

these people are very calm, his dad has just retired as pastor of church, his smum went to somewhere with christmas boxes, his dad leaves for africa tomorrow,

and they were so angry with him, she told me he's very arrogant and she's wanted to slap him before now

runnyhabbit · 05/04/2007 22:48

ditto CD
