Just read some of last night's thread to dh. He now thinks you're all a bunch of loons. I think I agree with him.

Eddas · 03/04/2007 08:13

Katy, condom keyring did i miss something

Ok i'm now officially overdue bugger

Katy44 · 03/04/2007 08:20

Eddas - have you eaten a curry yet?

Eddas · 03/04/2007 08:22

No not yet, no sex either
We did go for a walk last night and may well suggest that again tonight. And we went for a car ride down a bumpy road last night too, just don't think it's ready yet. I must have a very nice environment to be in

Katy44 · 03/04/2007 08:23

Well... we're waiting - no pressure

Emmymummy · 03/04/2007 08:28

Oh my God!!!!! Having some new carpets fitted upstairs today and divvy carpet blokes have just drilled straight through a water pipe. Everyone is now running around like headless chickens screaming for towels. Great. Water has been turned off but is still p'ing out. Fan fucking tastic.

runnyhabbit · 03/04/2007 08:47

Quick update for you all.

Had a bath last night, and pains completely disappeared. Watched the news with dh, and still nothing, so went to bed on the proviso with dh that if pain woke me up, then I would call the mw. In the mean time I discovered that dh is actually working in Reading today, which is 2hrs away, so felt much better about that.
Had a really great nights sleep, and only woke up twice.
Pinions - this is my second, but ds was induced, so have no real "experience" of things happening naturally iyswim

weeonion · 03/04/2007 09:17

good morning folk s- still awake and pottering. just cannot sleep so feeling a little spaced and on my fourth breakfast of teh day / past 2 days!

who will go today ----??

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 09:18

eddas the condom keyrings was part of the weird chat from last night, my mum used to hand them out at my school when i was 9!

and no weeonion, i may be bad, but i'm not that bad that i'd be on here at 3am

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 09:20

i was woken up at 6am by matthew dragging his duvet over to me and telling me he wanted to sleep next to me. excellent, or so i thought. I was then subjected to him chattering him my ear for the next 2 hours while i tried to sleep through it, until i finally gave up.

storytime at the library this morning so hopefully that'll stop the constant jabbering for a short while!

weeonion · 03/04/2007 09:23

in this case ellie - i was hoping you'd be here! not that i think you are bad

Eddas · 03/04/2007 09:26

Ellie, wondered about the keyrings, fair enough

Totally sympathise with chattering ds, dd does not stop once she's awake, 12 hours of non stop talking everyday, bliss!!

I really need a break from the constant wittering today so am going to MIL, fingers crossed she takes pity on me as i have a sore throat and need to do a small amount of food shopping. Will try to leave dd with her whilst i go to morrisons, ergh!

claricebean · 03/04/2007 09:29

Morning girls, Have we still not had a baby born in April then????

Still suffering from the dreaded piles. Another trip to hospital yesterday evening. Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh. The docs are now pinning all hopes on birth - probably because they're not the ones who have to go through labour .

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 09:30

i must confess i have cheated and booked matthew in for the morning at nursery tomorrow, i juust couldn't manage a full week of it!

EllieKthePA · 03/04/2007 09:30

hi clarice, dooby had a baby on 2nd april!

Eddas · 03/04/2007 09:35

If only i could book her in i would They choose now to have their eater holidays at her preschool I expect if I asked SIL or MIL to have her they would. Feel a bit bad asking SIL though as she has 2 ds's already, but dd loves to play with them so may do at the end of the week if baby still staying put by then. If it decides to come SIl is having dd anyway.

CB, those piles sound horrible. I had them after dd was born, but yours sound soooo much worse. So you have to have a natural birth, is c/s not an option? Not that i'd like to have a c/s but will it make the piles worse, or is that not possible

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 03/04/2007 09:55

Morning all. at your carpet fitters Emmy - useless plonkers!

Runny, glad things have eased for you a bit and that dh is not so far away today.

Waspelly, I watched the match on TV over the weekend and thought it was fab! I used to support Wasps when Rob Andrew played for them, and then I changed to Newcastle when he went there. I LOVE HIM!!

CB, sorry to hear you are still uncomfortable.

Eddas/Ellie, hope you get a little respite from your dc's today! B is in preschool again all day today, and it is blissful. She talks non stop as well and it drives me mad! Have a whole day with her tomorrow and nothing planned, so God knows how that will be. I, like the rest of you feel so physically challenged at the moment, that doing anything is hard work let alone with a demanding dd!

I too am getting a lot of pressure in my bum ! Just want to get on with it now and get my mobility back.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Back later on. x

Pesha · 03/04/2007 10:02

Morning all

Am very of all those managing to off load their LOs. Mind you mine arent too little anymore so if they get too much I tend to send them off to their bedrooms to play or kick em outside

Ellie I had the same thing with ds this morning, and he brought his thomas book in with him so 'read' that to me. Ive never known anyone make so much noise turning pages!!

Have made drs appointment, the only time they had left was 4.40 so will have to take dc with me as dp has bloody football again and will be leaving at 5 and knowing my drs I'll still be sat in the waiting room then. And they prob wont do anything anyway, it'll be 'just one of those things'. I have alot of them

eca · 03/04/2007 10:06

morning all

emmy - at carpet fitters!!! What a nightmare. Hope you get it undercontrol without to much flooding.

Dooby - congrats to you!! First 'officially april' baby!

I keep hearing about my NCT group popping! I so know i'm going to be last!

I had a crap night's sleep last night. Think I completely overdid it yesterday - spent the whole day getting the garden tidy!

MAveta - hope you get nursing bra sorted. I would go for at least 2 cup sizes up so you can fit in breats pads comfortably. Could you get one now and then another in about 4weeks after the birth when you size will have settled down a bit? What you don't want is one that's too small as it can trap the milk glands and cause probs. My theory was better too big than too small, however mothercare didn't go up to my cup size!!!

Pesha · 03/04/2007 10:30

Ok forget what I said earlier about my dc they're driving me mad already! Dp has decided to come round here to sleep today so I cant send them upstairs and Ive gotta try and keep them quiet too. DD just keeps screeching and shouting at ds which just makes him worse Gonna give them a bath in a minute cos we ran out of time last night so that should keep them happy for a while as long as i can stop them making too much noise.
Its looking very grey and cloudy outside

AngeG · 03/04/2007 10:47

Morning Ladies,

Just a quick hello. My internet is down at home so I have come into work to catchup and leave a quick message.

Well I'm going in this afternoon to have blood taken etc, then I can go home overnight and have to be in first thing Wednesday morning. Hopefully internet will be up and running tonight.

Hope everyone is ok. I'm still getting some uncomfortable twinges and loads of discharge...sorry tmi but nothing regular.

Love to you all.

Pesha · 03/04/2007 10:48

Good luck Ange

hensden · 03/04/2007 10:49

Morning all

No movement here, bump still really high making it really hard to eat, even chocolate

Congrats to dooby and anyone else i've missed. Love the pics and the names.

I still can't decide on a boy name, DS like Zane, DD(3) announced to playgroup that our baby with a dinky was to be called Byron (not too bad) and DH still likes Chip, Chuck or his new one Skip

Hope everyones not to uncomfortable today, CB piles are sooo painful, mine come and go, not looking forward to the state of them after birth (purple grapes)

Emmy hope your flood gets sorted and THEY clear up for you.

Eddas - I won't say a word, have fun at Morrisons

Ellie - you really are a star with all the effort you put in with the emails etc thankyou

Can't think of anything else at the moment keep well everyone

doghouse · 03/04/2007 10:51

Morning everyone! Well, due day is today but no sign of baby yet ... how long shall I give it?

Seriously, midwife just been and said she doesn't think baby has moved since last check three weeks ago! It is obviously way too comfortable down there!

Thank goodness for MN keeping me sane!

xx

CaptainDippy · 03/04/2007 10:53

Hello - - So how many people actually read the madness I was sprouting last night!!!!!?

I blame it on the Mini Eggs.

And the walrus'.

Ahem.

Oh emmymummy - buger bugger bugger to stoopid carpet fitters hon - How is the damage atm? Not too bad I hope, just what you need, eh!!?

I am eating Skips for 2nd breakfast. Eaten 2 bags. Now feeling sick.

Mmmmmmmm.....

Working this afternoon. Chance for a break .....

My DD1 was very slow to talk at all; but having turned 3 she could definitely rival your LO's, I think - Only most of what she says doesn't make an ounce of sense.....

Must take after her mother!
