Octo I just found out from ellie you used to be Cornflakekid that has been niggling me for bloody ages.

Don't get me started on clean hospitals have got a bit of a phobia on that one. As for bath and swindon sorry but I don't know the area at all so couldn't comment. All I know is that I went our with someone from Swindon once in my distant past oh the memories! Nice bloke aswell.

Pinionsrus · 29/03/2007 23:28

Someone remind me not to go to bed for a sleep at 6.30 tomorrow please.......

Thank goodness - I am not going mad ellie! I think Bath is a good hospital and delivery is excellent - aftercare is a bit crap but they are a huge hospital delivering about 3000 babies a year. They basically deliver then send you off to the nearest community hospital - mine is Chippenham - and is lovely! I wouldn't go to Swindon as is about 45 minutes down the M4 and things could get pretty sticky if there's traffic, closure etc! RUH is about 20 minutes - could go faster When had ds1 went from Chippenham to RUH in ambulance in 17 minutes with blue light on in rush hour - mega fast if you know Bath!!!

bEllieK · 29/03/2007 23:35

that's fine octo, until you consider that she lives a few miles from Swindon

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 29/03/2007 23:37

LOL - her dh must have been pleased!!!

"6 down only 106 to go....."

"Roll up roll up bets please, scores on the board who's next?"

"Easter bunnies make an apperance"

"Easter bunnies spring into action"

"Any news"

bEllieK · 29/03/2007 23:40

boring octo

we need something controversial, been good for too long!

they nearly didn't get there in time, cricklade to Bath takes a while at best of times, in rush hour it's not fun

she was very smug about needing no pain relief, as they only got there 20 mins before birth she didn't really have a choice!

OP posts:
octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 29/03/2007 23:43

thats cutting it a bit fine!

I'm off to bed - brain not working well enough to think of witty or controversial titles!

Night

Pinionsrus · 29/03/2007 23:44

Not at my wittiest at this time of night bellie!

All these stories are really starting to me up now with only half an hour to birth etc. With my first it was 48 hours start to finish with LOADS of false starts....I need warning!!!! What if it comes in about an hour shit!

Pinionsrus · 29/03/2007 23:44

Know what you mean octo night x

weeonion · 29/03/2007 23:46

evening folks - another busy night on here i see
its hard to keep up with this group now - so many posts!

seems mat leave has really kicked in for most people. isnt it great - i am loving mine - time to do all those things havent had the chance for years! out and about pretty much all day, long long walks, meeting folks for lunch, making things, 2 hr baths and generally pampering and pottering. really making the most of this time and generally loving being pregnant!

had dinner tonight with a lovely couple - 4 mth old daughter who completely charmed us both. dp besotted. cant wait for ours now but i actually dont want to have her yet - i am enjoying her being all mine at the minute and not having to share her kicks / movements.

tomorrow is friday - cant really say the weekend starts here as it feels like it every day.

hope you are all well. hope the new mums and babies are fine and oogs - looking forward to your news............

Morning all!

Didn't get chance to check in at all yesterday - hope I've not missed any more babies - wil try and catch up a bit later.

Not much to report here apart from I was completley seduced in Mamas and Papas yesterday and ended up buying a pram!

lunapram

If your interested!...I think it was a complete bargain! It's really sturdy but really compact (would have fitted in my mini...sniff sniff)and lovely and funky! Didn't NEED a pram but hey....I used my vouchers that I got from work so it only cost me £60!

So really all I do need now is the baby! - pokes tummy!!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok...thought I would have more time to keep up with everything on here when I was on Mat Leave but it turns out to be the opposite so I am sorry if I've missed any really important news
x

Katy44 · 30/03/2007 07:51

Morning everyone.
It's my last (half) day! I can't wait - if I wasn't on ML I'd be desperate for a holiday now, hopefully I'll get at least 3 weeks before LO is born (you can remind me I said that when I'm willing him out in a couple of weeks time!)
Yvie - sorry to hear you're worrying about movements. Mine are so few and far between I don't feel he's ever really got into a routine. Are you seeing your MW fairly often now? So you get to hear the heartbeat a lot? I find that if I gently scrape my fingernails across my bump he tends to kick - probably won't work for you, but thought it was worth a mention just in case.
Ellie - your mum's a teenage pregnancy coordinator? I've noticed that vacancy advertised at work in the past and it always makes me smile - I imagine a long line of boys and girls and someone with a clipboard at the top of the lines shouting 'You two, NEXT!'

bEllieK · 30/03/2007 08:01

it always makes me laugh too Katy! kinda makes you think, what, they don't have enough teenage pregnancies so they have to coordinate them?!

have a good last day at work, we expect you on here fulltime after!
