I'm still waiting DS will feel abandoned hope CD can live with that

nuttygirl · 29/03/2007 15:06

CD - TalkTalk...oh no...u poor thing. We had so many problems with them when we just used them for phonecalls. We changed bank details and they couldn't get it set up properly on their system that they'd changed so kept failing to take the money...then they charged us for the privilege Not a chance we'd use them for broadband!!!

Pesha · 29/03/2007 15:11

WEELLLL CD!!!!

Ds is watching higgledy house, sarah jane is doing the iced buns on forks as dancing legs thing. Ds laughs and says 'mummy can you do that if you were a lady?'
IF I were a lady?! Even my own son is dissing me now soo much like his father!

bEllieK · 29/03/2007 15:12

don't worry Pesha, matthew told me daddy was a girl when he was a baby

i asked did he really mean was

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 29/03/2007 15:18

Sorry guys - that was mean!!

Just hoovered the bottom of the house - about to start on the top.....

No. It wasn't Ooooogs, think those sort of texts could be while yet from her, poor thing. Hope it isn't long and drawn out though - she must be so desperate to hold her little bundles in her arms now....

CaptainDippy · 29/03/2007 15:18

According to my DD1, "Daddy is a Big Girl!"

I don't disagree!

Pesha · 29/03/2007 15:21

PMSL ellie

Afew times recently ds has been sat on the sofa half naked (tends to get naked just for a wee and takes alot of persuading to get dressed again) and suddenly announced 'Look mummy my willy has got bigger!! Look mummy LOOK!'
Me: 'yes sweetheart now stop playing with it and leave it alone'
Ds : 'But then it might get small again mummy '

I live in fear of the day we have this conversation in public!!

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 29/03/2007 15:32

afternoon all - have had mega sleep

pesha - I am around sunday morning if you want to meet up in Bath - but will have dss - could go to park or something - depends on weather I suppose.

I have yet to get rlt - nataliejane said would make my uterus more irritable and sore so may give it a miss. Have also yet to use my perenium massage oil!

Flumpootle - I knew someone had had one of their babies in a car before! That is so quick - I can see why they don;t want you to go into labour naturally.

Nutty - woke up from sleep - and my first thought was to check my mobile! BORING - come on girl!!! (((labour vibes)))

Someone else was niggly too - can't remember who - sorry.

Ooggs - thinking of you and your yummy nhs food! Maybe someone could drop you in some nice food for tea

DH gone to collect boys and pop to Corsham to get some bits - so have atleast another hour peace and quiet.

DS2 has started waking in the night and wetting his bed - he is worried about the baby - have bought him a parrot (he loves parrots!) to try and cheer him up. Don't know what to do about his bedwetting - don't really want to put him in nappies again - has been dry for almost a year. Have cut down on drinks and lift him but nothing seems to be working. Maybe back to the star chart

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 29/03/2007 15:35

Sorry - NatalieJane said that the RLT and clary sage oil worked - maybe should get some after all ... am thinking that would be quite happy to wait another 3 weeks though!

Eddas · 29/03/2007 15:37

I love the things these kids come out with

They seem a lot older than they should and ask things you sooo don't expect.

I told dd to tell daddy he was a big girl and she said no mummy he's a big man, much to his delight. You just can't train em!

CaptainDippy · 29/03/2007 15:38

Yes, Octo, would go back to Star charts, rather than nappies - Like you say, he is anxious about the new baby (understandably) - It is a phase, it will pass (my mantra!!)

Must go and pick up DH from station before he gets arsey - It is soooo nice being able to drive now. I can give him a taste of his own medicine!!!

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 29/03/2007 15:40

He says he doesn't love mummy because of the baby - he won't let me kiss him and wipes it off if I do

Eddas · 29/03/2007 15:44

Oh octo, that sounds , bless you and him. Did you buy him a real parrot?

babysopiniontakesover · 29/03/2007 15:46

Pesha how old is your son. Mine is 3.3 and is saying exactly the same things.

the other day :

Daddy my pp's getting bigger now look!

and

"It doesn't work" and "I can't do it" - you'll have to work that one out for yourselves!!!

babysopiniontakesover · 29/03/2007 15:47

Octo - my son also told me the other day "Mummy I don't love you, I just love Daddy". Errrrr thanks?

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 29/03/2007 15:48

nooooooooooooo!!!

Long story - at chinese new year they made wishing oranges at preschool which you hang on a tree and make a wish. He wanted a toy parrot (completely forgot about orange hanging off tree in garden!). He pointed out this week that his wish hadn't come true So this morning I said to him if he wished very hard today then a parrot may arrive and we would check when he got home. He thinks the parrot is growing inside the orange and will be born! This may be an opportunity to get the baby birth thing settled!

Hoping I don;t give birth to a parrot myself obviously LOL

Eddas · 29/03/2007 15:57

just checking All i've bought dd for her big sister present is two dvd's and a book, thought maybe i should get her a puppy, lol!!!

Only kidding, can you imagine, a nearly 3 year old, a newborn and a puppy. Oh and the dh and the cat. I would have no hair!!!

LesleyR · 29/03/2007 16:16

Back from MW and she says head is engaged! During my nocturnal wandering last night I thought bump felt different and DH said I'd changed shape this morning. Have felt all day like I've got more breathing room and no feet wedged in ribs!

She didn;t say how engaged but said it felt "deep in pelvis". I know it doesn't necessarily mean anything will happen soon but it feels nice that something is going on down there.

runnyhabbit · 29/03/2007 16:18

afternoon all

Ds is really down bless him. Not even 2, and he looks like he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders. Itys heartbreaking because he has such a good appetite, and it hurts him so much to eat. Atm he's surviving on yoghurts, but am going to puree some stuff. Reminds me of weaning

AN appt went well, saw my favourite mw Talked about sweep and the official line is one will be done 5 days over due date. But I'm seeing her next week when I'll be 39+2, and she said we'll take it from there. So who knows? She was really sympathetic about my back/spd/size of bump and everything generally. Head has dropped - now 2/5 engaged (with us it means theres 2/5 of babys head left to drop) But baby is in good position.

nuttygirl · 29/03/2007 16:19

Ooh congrats Lesley...all good signs!!!

have just had 2 policemen round...and they want to send a fireman round (with a free smoke alarm!)...MEN IN UNIFORM...KEEP EM COMING......who can the fireman send round????
