I have a sudden chocolate craving - do you think I'm in labour too?

Kelly1978 · 27/03/2007 16:38

wow, congratualtions 1b3, I didn't know today was the day. Hope you are all doing well.

Congratulations to all the other april mummys too. 2 years ago, it was me on the april antenatel threads

Mrsjaffabiffa · 27/03/2007 16:38

CONGRATULATIONS to all you April ladies who have delivered already. I'm on the May thread and reading this is just making me too impatient. Can't beleve we are looking at April already though.

Good Luck to all waiting.

twinkle183 · 27/03/2007 16:38

Just routine appointment katy44!! Thanks for asking - I am beginning to get worried though that I haven't experienced any braxton hicks just tightenings or are those the same things?

muminabigtumi · 27/03/2007 16:39

WHAT IS GOING ON!???

Oh my god - I can't beleive it!

CONGRATULATIONS Bubblez, Bramshott and 1B3 - I am gobsmacked at all the arrivals from today. Fantastic news - so pleased for everyone.

I love the names Orla and Leo - and am chuffed to bits for 1b3 to have got the monkeys out and she has one of each - ahhhhh!

Well my news is that I have signed my consent form today and am official for 16th April to go in at 8am for my elective section!!!

Tell you what - if I wasn't having Phil's baby I would have had the SHO's that I saw today in a heart beat! lol He was yummy - terrified now he will do the op and all I will be thinking of is him seeing my bits! lol

God - I wonder who will be next.....
xxxx

nuttygirl · 27/03/2007 16:40

I leave you all alone for half an hour and another 2 babies arrive...

Wow congratulation 1b3, how lovely to get one of each!

We're trying to sort our garden too...stormy weather a while ago blew down some fence panels (cos they had no fenceposts). Neighbour came round last nigth cos he's having some work done in garden by a friend of a friend and proposed they'd remove some hedges between our properties and replace with fencing and would it be ok, and they'd got a quote for the panels we need replaced. (Sounds great to me cos fences would be so much better than the hedges and price for the bit we'd be paying for seems reasonable - just got to get the guy to come back to quote for the end of our garden aswell cos we want it all done at once) Hoping we can afford it all!!!

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 27/03/2007 16:42

IsabellyMoi · 27/03/2007 16:44

Wonderful news from 1B3 - she must be so relieved and happy! VERY much looking forward to some names and pictures!!!

Twinkle - I know what you mean about looking forward to your bundle of joy and sharing the news with the lovely ladies of the April thread. I actually dreamed a little while ago that I went into labour but instead of getting on with the business of giving birth, I was on the computer trying to log in to MN to tell everyone!

Hi MrsJaffa! Thanks for dropping in

oooggs · 27/03/2007 16:44

Hooray!! Well done 1b3 please pass on our congratulations. What a day it has been Anyone else???

MIABT - Fantastic that you have your date How long before due date is it?

Birdiebump · 27/03/2007 16:51

See Katy - I never know when next I'll actually be able to switch the bloody thing on. Last night we tried everything, took it apart, vacuumed it, but no go. Today, I've had it on twice so far . Now I'm scared to switch it off in case I can't get it on again & miss 4 more babies! Thank god for Ellie's mobile updates. Anyway, I want a laptop!

CaptainDippy · 27/03/2007 16:53

Nearly finished here, so I'll be back later on this evening, I'm sure!!

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 27/03/2007 16:54

Isabellymoi - sadly we do come on when in labour (or not!)

nuttygirl · 27/03/2007 16:58

Right well I'm going back to my nap...hopefully my aunty won't ring again to check I'm ok (she thinks I'm going to have my LO early and DH will be too panicked to drive me to hospital/pass out at birth/generally be useless...no idea why she thinks these things).

I expect 2 more when I come back on!!!!

Birdiebump · 27/03/2007 17:00

Me too... gotta go. Don't...... want.... to switch it off!!!!

HOPEFULLY be back this eve for more news!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 27/03/2007 17:01

MIABT, love love love your comment re the SHO! I am glad it ain't just me!!!

liath · 27/03/2007 17:14

Each time I log back on someone else has had a baby or two!

Wonderful news for 1B3, I am so happy for her, what a relief it must be to have her tummy back!

muminabigtumi · 27/03/2007 17:17

He He!
Seriously - he was SCRUMMY! I came over all peculiar...he was Irish as well.....faint

He was really friendly as well and chatted away - telling me I was exactly 2 days older than him!....I will seriously DIE now if he is doing the op! I'll go all giggly and girly HA HA HA...as he cuts through my many layers of blubber....

AngeG - it is only 5 days before my due date - which does worry me...but if I go into labour they tell me just to come in straight away and they will just do the c section asap as I'm all consented etc.
AngeG - have they given you medication to take the day before and in the morning so you have no acid in your tum??? (obviously I didn't have any of that last time as I was emergency and went under General)
He also scared me witless talking about the fact that they may cut through my bladder or bowels..."But would just get the relevant surgeon to come in and fix it...."

I am also rather pissed off......as soon as I text my Mum and Mum In Law to let them know the date they were both on the phone clamouring to look after James whilst I am in hospital. I'm now left in the horrible situation of having to choose one over the other knowing that one of them is going to be put out. My Mum rang to tell me she has already booked the time off work - which annoys me as its like she is presuming she will have him and my MIL text just to say she would have him if we wanted and I just replied saying I hadn't thought about it yet and would let her know and thanks for the offer....but I really don't know what to do.....surely they realise I can't split him in two!!! I just wish they would wait to be asked instead.
I will talk to Phil tonight and see what he thinks...maybe if MIL has him one night and mine the next or something...to be honest I really feel it makes sense for my Mum to have him as she is closer but I think Lil wants to feel involved as she is that bit further away. I suppose whoever doesn't have him will get the honour of seeing baby first?! OH GOD WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO DIFFICULT!? sigh

Rant Programme terminated!

Katy44 · 27/03/2007 17:19

MIABT - can you tell a little white lie and let your mum think your MIL offered first?
It's nice that they both want him so much

muminabigtumi · 27/03/2007 17:24

Hi Katy

Unfortunatley my Mum would just see it that I had chosen MIL over her regardless of who asked first....

MIL did ask ages ago to be honest and my Mum has just assumed that she is going to have him. I'm just soft and hate having to let one of them down. I think I will just tel them both that they both asked and I feel awkward as don't want to choose one over the other so one can have him one night and the other another and if they are not happy at that then tough tits

Katy44 · 27/03/2007 17:24

How do I go from full to starving in under a minute?

Katy44 · 27/03/2007 17:25

Yes, think mine would be the same unfortunately
Hope you get something sorted out.

AngeG · 27/03/2007 17:30

MIABT - That's a difficult one. Who do you think James would be happiest with? I think splitting it seems like a good idea though.

SHO sounds fabulous[swoon]

Haven't been given any meds yet, but I have to go in the day before[tues] when they will give me those, take blood and I have to sign consent form and talk things over with the anaesthetist. Then I can go home and go back in first thing the next morning. Dont like the idea of them cutting things they shouldn't though... unless it's the excess skin...free tummy tuck...maybe I'll ask about that
