We had our 12 week scan yesterday! Due date brought forward to 29th Dec 😊🎉 (sorry for the messy scribbles, not very good at editing and tried to block out info!) xxx

@Eve30, I'm so sorry for your loss. The TTC after MC thread on here was a real life-saver for me after my MC, and I would recommend it--everyone is so much in the same boat and so sympathetic to your emotions. Take care of yourself and your partner for now

@MummyM33 that's a fantastic scan photo, congrats on the good news! Our pics weren't nearly as good because of the position of the placenta and the way baby was facing. You're due the day after me now!!!

@Iamchanging I flew at 6 and 8 weeks with my last pregnancy, and the MW reassured me there was no risk to the fetus, just to me! She told me to wear those awful stockings and drink plenty of water, which I did. Must be hard to be travelling for work with sickness, though, my sympathies there!

Victoriaaaaa a week ago all these spots appeared on my face, too, which never happens even on my period! Bloody hormones...

Thanks WLMcl, glad to know I'm not putting it at risk. I have the sexy stockings as well, my DH laughed his head off when I showed him.
Think my secret is out of the bag with work though now, almost fainted during a store visit and had to fess up to the Chinese team... who will now tell everyone!

Hello ladies! Onto page 7 already before I found you...

Has anyone else been prescribed meds for sickness? I've been off work this week, feel nauseous all day and can barely eat or drink. After a weekend of vomiting water I researched online and took avomine (promethazine) which DP bought over the counter. It worked pretty well though it did knock me out. Spoke to MW on Monday and she said I had to get a prescription from the GP, who prescribed me metoclopramide. I don't think it's working as well as the avomine as I'm still nauseous but at least I'm awake!

I don't really like having to take meds at all during pregnancy and I wasn't like this at all with DC1. I'm listless and pale and look like crap but I really need to get back to work.

@robindeer I have hyperemesis and without meds I would've been in hospital by now. I've been signed off. I take cyclizine and ondansetron on days when I cannot keep anything down.

Any of you 11 week preggers finding that your symptoms are easing? Today is first day I haven't felt horrendous so but worried weirdly!

@Thingymaboob I was going to ask the same. My early scan dated me at 10+1 on Sunday so now 10+4 and have virtually no symptoms. I've had it reasonably easy so far in terms of symptoms with very mild sickness but it does feel worrying when they go completely!

purplechoc my nausea was completely gone by 10 weeks too. Try not to worry, as that can be perfectly normal according to my MW friend! Other people are less lucky...my grandma was sick every day of 9 months with all 4 of her pregnancies! It's just different for everyone.

Ahhh how did I get so behind! I was trying to keep up on holiday but it got sooooo hot I just had to sleep or swim (Portugal @ 40ish degrees!!!)
Im having the worst nauseous day so far and I'm 11+5, what is going on!!! So annoyed!
Anyway hope all are well, I've had a little catch up and eva I'm so sorry for your loss, I also found the ttc after mc thread a lifesaver and ended up joining my next antenatal group with a few from the ttc thread xx victoriaaaa I've had the increased discharge with all pregnancies - i remember looking it up last time and there's a few reasons, the plug developing, extra need for the body to keep clean down there and a general reaction to the hormones were the ones I remember... also - weirdly, I noticed that it has a particular smell - not bad, but different and with this pregnancy the change in smell was what make me take a test!!

Thingymaboob I'm 11+5 and my symptoms have eased a lot. My nausea went around week 9. My boobs are tender but not sore like before, that changed around week 9 too. I'm still shattered but not the complete and utter exhaustion of a few weeks ago. From what I've read towards end of 1st tri these things do disappear for most people.

My sickness has nearly gone. Scan tomorrow looking forward to it but bricking it at the same time. Don't think I will sleep much tonight. Xxx

I'm going in for the Panorama test tomorrow and they do a scan too
Can't wait and a little worried too.....

My symptoms have eased up so much the past few days. I'm actually relieved now when someone hugs me and it hurts my boobs just so I know I've still some symptoms.
Although we are going away next week so I'm hoping the symptoms stay easy.....

Still a bit tired in the evening but not the completely wiped out feeling. I managed a walk at lunch today, it's the first bit of exercise I've done since I found out!!
Can't wait to go back to Pilates but I'll wait till 12/13 weeks and go to the pregnancy class.

People who are worried about symptoms I find I get a good day followed by a bad day, so embrace your good days.

I've got NIPT and scan booked in on Sunday. I'll be 10+2 slightly worried that'll be too early as I guess I might not even get dated the 10 weeks at the scan as I did measure a week behind on my 6 week scan but I know that's not possible as I had a scan a couple of days pre ovulation.

Oh god I've woken up to brown blood and cramping. And I'm in Beijing. 9 weeks today. What am I going to do? Just want to be home with DH. Don't want want to lose my baby out here on my own 😢

@iamchanging how much blood? Brown is ok usually as it's old, I've had brown and a spot of red on wiping and it was all fine. When are you due home? Sorry you're going through this, I know it's trrrifying and being alone & abroad I can't even imagine xxxx

Iam whatever the normal procedure is with medical care when you're working abroad, go that route (if you feel you need it obviously). Have you booked in? You can call the MW from abroad for advice too xx

Hi both, thank you so much for responding. It was terrifying waking up to it and my entire support network being fast asleep in the UK. I've had my booking in so might give them a call in a bit. It's streaky brown every time I wipe with dull cramps. I'm out here for another week but I've cancelled everything tomorrow in the hope that bed rest might help. Being exhausted with jet lag probably doesn't help anything. Thank you again, and I'll keep you updated x

You poor thing, I really feel for you :( resting up sounds good. As you're there for a bit definitely get some advice from your mw and see if you can find out about EPU equivalent out there. I'm sure in Beijing they will have English speaking docs and will be able to scan you. Everything xd for you xxx

@Iamchanging that sounds really scary, so difficult to go through so far from home and without your normal support. As others have said though some brown bleeding can be completely normal, some women bleed red blood and their baby is fine.

I've been to Beijing recently and know that not many speak English, can you speak to someone from the hotel you're staying in to see if they can find an English speaking doctor for reassurance maybe? I think that's what I would have done.

I've googled and found an English speaking hospital that does scans 20 mins away so if it gets worse I will go there tomorrow. I've just got everything crossed that with rest it might be ok. Off to Japan on Sunday, so want to know one way or another before then. It took me so long to get pregnant with fertility treatment I just can't bear the thought that this might be the end.
