I think boy dis

I was thinking boy too disinterested but i have no knowledge or experience to back that up, just a guess!

I'm feeling bizarrely certain my scan looks girly but no idea why.

waiting I feel nowhere near as bad as I had been feeling earlier. Not symptomless but definitely don't feel as awful as before.

What do you all think? Boy or girl?

I know @Gemxo thinks boy!

@Nova - I feel the same about my scan except I'm convinced he looks like a boy! I can't explain why at all... just looked (inexplicably) like a boy to me 😂x

Yeah disinterested, it's a strange feeling. I'll genuinely be so shocked if mine turns out to be a boy and I had always pictured myself with a boy too.

Hi all, so many lovely scans
And it seems a few of us are now 20/01

Anyone else feeling a little achey low in the tummy and back?

It's not like period cramps (but is same locations) and not very sore just noticeable
I've read that as long as it's not severe it should be fine but as it's my first I don't know if it's normal....

Does anyone have a strange feeling in there stomach sort of like when you go on a rollercoaster the sinking feeling lol? I'm 14+5 and first pregnancy

@ForumUsername - I have those aches just now asked the midwife totally normal just everything stretching I recently bought a v shaped pillow and it's helped me so much! Would definitely recommend those

@Briggs18 do use use the pillow at night?

@ForumUsername I've had the same aches - I haven't bought a pillow yet but until I do I've been putting a pillow between my legs and knees when I sleep which has been a bit more comfortable

Loving all the scans, and glad everything is okay @millsbynight must have been so scary!

@ForumUsername yes I use it at night i have quite bad back pain and it seems to stop that helps keep your back straight and improves your posture which helps a lot! you can get all different ones online. Yeah we are all the same I sometimes get pains rolling over but that's just muscles tensing so if you can help it try not to quickly roll over to the opposite side of the bed or stand up to quickly lol

12 weeks today! Hello 2nd trimester and hopefully goodbye HG?!?

@Waitingonasmile I had no sickness after about 10 weeks and no bump at all until about 14 weeks, so that month I didn't really feel pregnant; it was very trying (thank goodness for the scan in the middle to reassure me!) Now I'm 16+3 and finally have a proper bump, yay! First antenatal check-up and parenting class tomorrow and so excited/nervous to hear a heartbeat for the first time (at least I've been told they will probably do that; I'll likely beg for it if she doesn't!)

@Nova welcome! I also had a mmc with my first pregnancy, in February, so I understand the disbelief that this one could go fine. Thank goodness for the modern medical care that involves scans and all the checkups--I can't imagine doing this entirely on faith as in times past (or times present in other countries)!

Sorry to hear you experienced that same thing WLM, hardest thing I've ever had to go through. Let us know how your appt and class goes tomorrow. My next one is at 15+3 so I'm not convinced she'll want to listen for a heartbeat as I heard they prefer to wait until after 16w.

Ooh, a question - for those who've had their scans. How long did it take to hear back about screening results?

@NovaArt3mis mine said I would have a call within 48 hours if high risk or a problem or I would receive a letter in the post within a week if low risk, I think I got my letter about 4/5 days later

@NovaArt3mis - we had exactly the same as @MummyM33: told we'd hear within a few days if anything of concern, otherwise a letter in about a week. We had our scan last Friday and received the letter the following Saturday (yesterday).

I was nearly 17 weeks with my first and they wouldn't let me listen to the heartbeat. Just don't want anyone to get their hopes up as I was so upset (as everything I had read said it happened and all my friends told me that I would). Think it depends on the area/MW.

12 weeks today and really suffering from metallic taste in mouth that's making me feel so ill!! Any ideas how to lesson it?

Pickled, I'm 12 weeks today too and I too have that taste!! :( things are meant to get better for us soon apparently

I had my scan on 29th June and still not had results. They said if it's low risk letter can take up to 3 weeks.

nova we just had a note given to me at the blood test that said we should hear within 2 weeks but if not to call and chase up. Didn't say anything about hearing early or later.

I'm ill with a nasty cold. I've coughed and sneezed so much I think I've pulled something in my stomach because I'm getting a shooting pain every time I cough or sneeze now! Temp is 99.5 (37.5) which is high but not quite a fever and my throat feels like a cheese grater. Banging headache, runny nose the lot! Been like this for 2 days so hopefully will start to feel better tomorrow! I know it won't affect baby but it's hard to rationalise when I'm feeling so rotten!
