@MissyJones80s - thank you! You are right. Apparently the pain was the stressed-out pregnancy pain. (so bad at night I dreamt being stabbed non-stop to belly). 1 week of sleep turned the pain into normal tummy discomfort, but then THE nausea appeared :) just in time when the project was over - I was able to avoid a lot of stress and catch lots of naps on breaks when working from home finally. Glad my boss was so agreeable on work from home for a few weeks! yey to agreeable bosses!

Thanks @Victoriaaaaaaaa. We have two boys already so a girl would be nice but of course would be very happy with a little boy. In 5 weeks we should know!

@LinaBl don't worry at all. Some women go for ages without knowing so eat and drink all the wrong things etc and it's all fine. Also, it's really not that long into the pregnancy that you realised. It's just in this day and age people find out much earlier but 30 odd years ago it was normal to find out much later and there definitely wasn't so many restrictions to what you can and cannot do etc! Please don't worry

We had our scan and booking appointment yesterday

Baby was kicking and waving
It's legs looked really long 😀

Nausea had been awful over the past couple of days
Doctor said I should notice a difference in 2/3 weeks so fingers crossed

Congratulations @ForumUsername! Ours had really long-looking legs too :D I noticed my pregnancy exhaustion completely disappeared at 13 weeksit was like flipping a switchso hopefully you're just that close to losing the nausea!

We're on a domestic holiday and enjoying ourselveseating out in nice restaurants, going to the pub (found some good mocktails tonight), planning things like boat trips to remote islands on the spur of the momentall the stuff you can do on adult holidays that are hard or impossible with a baby :D I guess it's a babymoon, although it's a bit early for that still, but it's our last planned trip before baby is born at Christmas!

Oh and welcome @LinaBl! I believe the baby isn't even attached to your digestive system that early, so there's no real danger anyway. The pain sounds like it was awful though, so I'm glad that's over for you!

Ugh - incredibly painful trapped wind. Pregnancy is so glamorous!

Morning all. Just wanted to say that I have taken a big step today and put on my maternity leggings for the first time! Having spent the day yesterday in jeans done up with a hair band, I cannot actually explain how comfortable they feel!!!!!

I was in my mat leggings from about Week 6 @ndo4000 😂 I'm impressed you have lasted so long!

Any one else's school-aged DC already on summer holidays? I'm lucky that because I work at a university I get a long and flexible summer break which helps with childcare costs but I'm shattered by 7pm hanging out with DS all day!!

I've been in maternity leggings and jeans since about week 7 I think, was making me feel even more nauseous having anything tight on my belly so I gave in early!

I keep getting the urge to wee, but when I go there's not much there! Is this normal? I know the toilet trips become more frequent in general - so just want to check

I'm clearly slow on the uptake here!!!! Just bought some big shirts too to wear over the top of my lovely leggings!!!

Meant to be back at work Monday after my few weeks off with a sick note. Got another doctors appointment tomorrow because I'm even worse now than when I went off a few weeks ago! I feel really bad about work but I haven't left the house (apart for my scan and for people to help look after me if they can't come to mine). I'm hoping they'll give me another sick note 😩

@klaw87 I'm the same. I think it's normal as baby grows and presses on your bladder?

@Victoriaaaaaaaa I was off work for a few weeks with hyperemesis. I was too sick to feel guilty! What use are you going to be to your work and colleagues if all you're doing in running to and from the toilet and generally just feeling really really crap?

I'm 14 weeks and just starting to show now so wiii need to buy some maternity clothes soon. Definitely bigger earlier this time.

Yeah it is! I've recently started getting really bad headaches and dizzy again with no energy. If I just lay there I feel ok it's as soon as I start moving or concentrating it hits me for six!

Victoria I'm the same, been signed off for 5 weeks and like you only been out for scan! My note runs out a week on Sunday, hoping that I'll b able to return then but otherwise I too will be getting another note. I feel bad workwise but I'm good for nothing!
I know it gets better as it did with both other pregnancies but it seems so far away at the mo.....

Has anyone felt flutters yet? 13 weeks tomorrow and I swear I felt a little flutter last week and another one today!

13 weeks is far too early?

Is this your first pregnancy Victoria? If so id say 13 weeks is far too early to feel the baby move

Yeah @Gemxo after looking online which is my worst enemy it says "Some moms can feel their babies move as early as 13-16 weeks from the start of their last period. These first fetal movements are called quickening and are often described as flutters. It may be difficult to determine whether this feeling is gas or your baby's movements, but soon you will begin to notice a pattern." So I think it is possible but it's not like kicking just a flutter and gone

I'm in work and am EXHAUSTED!
Which makes me feel queasier

Anyone any suggestions of anything I can take to give me a boost? Chocolate works but I crash quick after it and then feel more nauseous

I'm really rubbish in the afternoons, morning I get loads done though. I'm watching the clock till it hits 5!
