Would you eat a Chinese knowing its got msg in it?

I'm really dubious but I'm fancying it so much and I don't think once in a while would hurt!

Waitingonasmile · 01/07/2017 15:18

Honestly victoriaaa I wouldn't think twice about eating almost anything. Chinese is absolutely fine. The NHS website lists what to avoid if you want to check that, but there is very little there.

ndo4000 · 01/07/2017 16:26

We told our DCs!!!!! They are SO excited!!!! It's so cute! They have lots of questions and have already picked out teddies they want to give the baby!!! So relieved! Grin

Gemaxo · 01/07/2017 16:58

Scan went amazing!! Got so emotional!

Baby measuring at 10 weeks 1 day, strong heartbeat and looking perfect!

I even got a video of the heartbeat as the lady was so lovely!Grin

2nd pic makes me laugh, little foot in the air on the right side 😂😍

WLM I haven't even heard of "parentcraft" on the NHS so assume I'm not on it?? Have they given you much detail on the difference?

ndo I've used sleep bras every cycle since I breastfed and I'm back in the same ones now - cannot recommend then enough, they don't look anything special but I've got big and very sore boobs and they totally do the job - www.mothercare.com/nursing-bras/spotted-and-black-wrap-nursing-sleep-bras---2-pack/LLC278.html#q=Bra&start=5

PolkaDotFlamingo · 01/07/2017 19:32

I have the exact same ones purple. I'm bf my first and they are boob life savers!

PurplePoppySeed · 01/07/2017 20:32

Definitely Polka, I've got some similar from jojomamanbebe but they're not as good! Thy were brilliant for BF, so easy and so comfy yet hold everything in place enough to stop being sore at night, it's weird as they don't look great!

weasledee · 01/07/2017 20:57

Congrats on scan gem! Great pics :)

Ruthcarr1990 · 01/07/2017 21:42

For those asking about harmony tests there's a scan place by me that are doing them for £400. Xxx

Train1 · 01/07/2017 22:50

@fattycow have messaged you re the FB group.

Good to see more great scans!!

ijustwannadance · 01/07/2017 23:15

There is a place in Liverpool city centre near the Cathedral on Rodney St. that does private scans and Harmony test. £399.

poppypopsicle · 02/07/2017 08:11

Hi I'd like to join too. I'm 13weeks and just had the serenity test in Leeds recently and now waiting the long long week for results. Trying not to tell anyone till then but it's hard as I feel and look so big already. Hopefully everyone's just thinking I'm putting on weight due to the constant toast and biscuits I've started eating at work etc.

Anyway due date is 6th Jan! Still in state of shock. Had a mmc a few years ago and am in my 40s but trying to be positive.......

WLMcI · 02/07/2017 08:33

Congratulations poppypopsicle! Welcome to the club :) Is this your first?

PurplePoppySeed this is my first so I have no personal experience, but the MW running the programme explained it like this:
Normally on the NHS locally, you would get maybe 2 classes about labour and taking care of the newborn. They are basic and you would take them near the end of your pregnancy. This "Sollihull Approach" starts much earlier. I'm put into a group of other women locally with similar due-dates after our 12 week scans. From now on, all my antenatal appointments (but not the 20 week scan) will be as part of that group's meetings (although obviously the appointment itself is in a private room!). After we have our checks done, we all do the parentcraft half of the meeting, starting with our first one at about 16/17 weeks. There are 6 classes that cover everything from fetal brain development to signs of labour to pain relief during labour to caring for baby. Partners are welcome to attend all but the last 2 are particularly important. I'm told this is the first time it's offered in NI, so I'm presuming it has been piloted in England first!

weasledee · 02/07/2017 08:44

Ruth, is it the burscough one you mentioned doing the harmony scans?

weasledee · 02/07/2017 08:44

Oh and welcome Poppy! :)

Ruthcarr1990 · 02/07/2017 11:05

@weasledee yes It is in the wharf. I'll get you the website. That's were I have booked my sexing scan and I've got £20 off because I've booked in July they are doing that as a opening offer. Xx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 02/07/2017 12:02

Bought some time out chocolate bars today! Yum!

Maybebaby2 · 02/07/2017 13:14

Just been for a walk along the beach and went a little further than we intended, on the way back my hips started to hurt, so much so I was limping by the time we got home! Its so painful I'm now lay on the sofa not wanting to move! I hope this isn't something that's going to get worse as pregnancy goes on Sad

Waitingonasmile · 02/07/2017 14:32

Did you have SPD in previous pregnancy maybebaby? Can't rememebr if this is your first or not. I had it last time and totally sympathise but mine started much later.

Maybebaby2 · 02/07/2017 16:51

waitingon no I didn't have it last time but that was 16 years ago and I was only 21 at the time so don't know if my age has got anything to do with it. Also I am, or was, hypermobile (double jointed) but have got stiffer as I've got older (sound like I'm 80 the way I'm talking!) so could possibly be my joints are just not what they were but it was really painful. I fell asleep on sofa for couple of hours and just woke up and hips are still sore so I might mention it tomorrow at my scan. If it is spd is there anything they can do or do you just have to cope with it??

Waitingonasmile · 02/07/2017 16:58

Yeah definitely mention it. Hopefully it's not that all all but it does sound very like the symptoms. Mine wasn't severe so I was just offered a pelvic brace and advised how to manage it. I know other people get physio and can get crutches or worst case wheelchair.

ForumUsername · 02/07/2017 17:04

Hi all
So glad loads are getting good news from tests and scans
I've my 12 week scan and booking in appointment tomorrow week and can't wait

I'm on holidays at the moment and today have been getting random twinges and pains up in my vagina/cervix
I had been getting the odd ache but now it's a bit more. Not very painful but fairly noticeable
Some of you described having pains like these as fanny daggers I think?
Mine are on and off most of the day today, anyone else have them that long?
I have been walking more, could that be it? It's localised low down, not in my abdominal or where I imagine baby is

Hoping it's normal.....

Maybebaby2 · 02/07/2017 17:58

I hope it doesn't come to that waitingon! Will keep an eye on it and definitely mention tomorrow.

forum I've not experienced that personally so can't help but it does sound a lot like what others have described on here.

Issywizzybelle · 02/07/2017 18:06

I'm struggling so badly every afternoon now - the nausea and tiredness is so bad come 3pm until 7/8pm when I get about 30min energy burst before collapsing again :(
