mrspage1985 · 05/05/2017 21:54

@SanitysSake congratulations ❤️❤️

@jennymac31 thank u for that link - I have ordered one, managed to find for £30 so worth giving a go before succumbing to a sleepyhead!
I plan on using it inside the next to me crib and inside the Moses basket - depending upon how he settles.

Can't believe Baby tea is 3 weeks already - how time flies!! Hope feeding issues all get sorted @teainbed

@EsmesBees would of loved to see the pet shop persona face if u had told them what the net was actually for!!

@CoxsOrangePippin enjoy maternity leave - I have been off a week and have enjoyed every second of not rushing around and not having long days at the office / commutes!

Happy day here - hairdressers and Aldi haul, we now have enough nappies for first two weeks of baby being here and nappy sacks for the first month ish!

Good luck @newbieho xxx

One of my free boots pack things (that I only collected today Hmm) suggested an app for helping to remember to do your pelvic floor exercises. I will try it tomorrow, but as the apps free I thought I'd share. Smile

I have an app for that but I'm always ignoring it...

1004Rise · 06/05/2017 09:13

@FoxMulder me too.... Blush

Tickyboovicki · 06/05/2017 09:55

@dreamofhungarians picture attached! Hopefully he's looking suitably squishy faced!

Huge congratulations to @sanityssake! What a gorgeous picture 😍

We're all home and happy now. First night home was a disaster, I ended up having a huge freak out and texting my mum at 5am asking her to take the next day off work and come round. Bless her she did and I just needed a bit of a talking to really, but made a huge difference having her around for the day. Much more successful night last night so feeling much more chipper!

Sorry to hear about people still struggling with aches/pains/general pregnancy wear & tear! Hoping some more babies start to make appearances soon & people get lots of newborn love to help ease them!

I will post birth story in other thread when I get a minute, but any advice re stitches?! Good lord I can barely move!

Oh poor you @Tickyboovicki ! First nights at home can be awful! Are you taking lots of pain relief for your stitches? And resting lots? Some people swear by lavender baths and rinsing with warm salty water. Has the midwife seen them since you got home?

WishIWasSleeping · 06/05/2017 12:41

You can also alternate paracetamol and ibuprofen every 2 hours to help ease the pain Vicki. I was advised this was fine when I had DD last year.
And have a jug & salt next to the loo. Fill with (warm) water and a bit of salt and lean back a little and pour at the same time that you pee every time you go. Helps to keep it clean in between baths and the salt doesn't sting too much but helps heal.
And when you have a bath, make sure there's enough water to cover all of your lady area. Nothing more annoying that swishing around the edges of the water to enhance the sting! x
Took about 2 weeks for my stitches and the aches to disappear last time. xx

WishIWasSleeping · 06/05/2017 12:45

Just realised Tea had already mentioned the salt water! Grin
It helped me even if it was only psychological - does dilute your pee also though!
And it doesn't Need to be warm water, but the shock of cold isn't fun really!!
Plus the running of the water each time is fab practice for your pelvic floor! Confused

Barnes79 · 06/05/2017 12:49

Today I'm having lots of back pain mixed with lower bump pain, which is unusual for me so far in pregnancy. It keeps coming and going and I'm starting to wonder if it could be contractions but don't know if it's just pain due baby moving down in preparation instead. Nothing else to suggest it's contractions. Any suggestions? I do have a history of back problems so expected I would have had more back pain during pregnancy than I have had... I'm only 36w+5

savagehk · 06/05/2017 12:51

Barnes exciting - probably just baby moving esp with your unusual bump size but could be the start of something - remember some babies are term at 37w :) (I cook em longer, though....)

savagehk · 06/05/2017 12:54

I've had a bit more bump tightening though and my back did feel very tight yesterday low down. I think it's just that baby is big (and I'm tiny) so my bump is mahoosive, plus baby is quite low/forward.

Badgerbird · 06/05/2017 13:50

Oooh that app looks good wish thanks. At the moment I rely on my husband shouting "pelvic floor!" sporadically at me Grin

Oh that little squishy face ticky! Adorable. I'm not surprised you had a freak out. I plan on having a few Wink Glad your mum could be there for you.

savage was gonna ask how you are as it's your edd isnt it? Have you had a dummy run of filling pool?

StandardLampski · 06/05/2017 14:03

4 day old baby Lamp Smile

He's getting significantly more sleep than I am !
But settling in well... I'm still wincing from stitches .... so good to read some tips!

teainbed · 06/05/2017 14:04

I'd have loved a pool at home! Are you not tempted to fill it to the brim and just spend all day in there? Grin It would be amazing for all those late pregnancy aches!

teainbed · 06/05/2017 14:05

Oh look at him @StandardLampski ! How lovely is he!

newbieho · 06/05/2017 14:07

@StandardLampski @Tickyboovicki lovely squishy babies 😍😍

FoxMulder · 06/05/2017 15:10

tea the pool i have is hired and they say not to put water in without the liner. And the liner you can only use once, so I can't try it out! Also just found out that the tap connectors they sent don't fit. We have a normal tap!

savagehk · 06/05/2017 15:30

We've not had a trial run this time with the pool as it worked last time & we're in the same house filling-time wise. Hubby's checked the connectors (it's the doula's pool so it came with a box full of all sorts of connectors!). Yep, today is EDD except I think it's not 'really' my EDD for another 5 or so days, plus first was (very) late. So not expecting anything for a while :) I have a pregnancy massage booked in for Tues as a birthday present :)

FoxMulder · 06/05/2017 16:11

Happy due date savage! Grin

beachsands · 06/05/2017 16:13

Beautiful baby pics. Congratulations though I probably congratulated many of you on the FB page. Re back ache I'm feeling the same. Lots of twinges in pelvis and back. I'm also very cranky, irritable and tired today. I'm in awful form with no reason to be.

Barnes79 · 06/05/2017 16:19

After about 4 hours of pains every 5 mins or so they've stopped. Must be my first proper experience of braxton hicks? It does feel like my bump has dropped though... 🤔

Sipperskipper · 06/05/2017 16:24

Congratulations on all the beautiful new babies. Struggling to keep up! Hope everyone is feeling well, and wishing those of you post birth a speedy & comfortable recovery!

Badgerbird · 06/05/2017 17:03

Gorgeous little face baby lampski!

Oh that's a pain fox. I guess mine will be the same then.... I def wanted to do a dummy run. You getting a pool bean? I can't remember who else is hb.....

Went back to preggo yoga today after about 4/5 weeks away..... bliss. Treated myself to coffee and lunch after on my own.... thought I should make the most of this "alone" time :)

MrsJW15 · 06/05/2017 17:19

Gorgeous babies @StandardLampski and @Tickyboovicki.

@teainbed I'd definitely be tempted to just hang out in the pool all day!

Also getting lots of BH/tightenings/contractions. Some lower back and abdo pain today. I keep thinking maybe this is it but not so far... wishful thinking I guess!
