I've bought some maternity bras (absolute necessity due to huge painful boobs) and some maternity leggings just cos I'm so bloated! Lol!
Me and DP chose one small toy each and we won't be buying anything else now until after 11-12 week scan.
No superstition at all, just want to make sure everything is ok before spending money!
Great jeans though 😊 Xx

glastogal · 17/04/2017 20:35

I'm the same, not buying anything for a few weeks (mainly because I'm skint, so every expenditure really needs to be necessary!) Buying new bras was critical though!!

Thinking about going to the baby show at the end of May. It's too early really but the next one is October, which I think is too late.. so I think we are gonna go and play with the prams and at least figure out what we like!

glastogal · 17/04/2017 20:36

(can't stop window shopping though - Pinterest and Amazon baby wish list are filling up nicely 😆)

Mrsbluebell17 · 17/04/2017 20:42

That's a great idea glastogal re the baby show! I think I'll look into that too.

CantHelpDancingWithTheDevil · 17/04/2017 20:43

I don't care for superstition..and (God forbid) anything were to happen; for £9 I'd charity shop them or pass on to a friend

Chamonix1 · 17/04/2017 20:51

I've bought things that are in sale. Haven't spent much but things for 70% off etc.
If something sad happens I don't think it'd pain me too much to pass it on to a charity shop.
I'm trying to enjoy the pregnancy now as I spent my first weeks living in fear and pissing on sticks rather than enjoying being pregnant.
Fingers crossed for all of us Smile

glastogal · 17/04/2017 20:57

Ooh, let me know if you do go bluebell!! 😁

MontyPants · 17/04/2017 20:59

I agree, nothing wrong with buying maternity jeans if they're that much of a bargain! It's early days for us all, but I am trying to remain positive about all of this. There's nothing wrong with being excited Grin

glastogal · 17/04/2017 21:00

I can't say I'm really enjoying being pregnant - really thought I would feel pregnant, but I don't. I don't feel much different. I'm enjoying the daily updates about what is going on with my little tummy Bug though. Can't believe it's my scan Weds morning 😱 think I will feel differently after that. Especially as we are going to spread the news a little. I struggle with it being a secret. I hate secrets!!

mamalovesviolet · 17/04/2017 21:08

Hello! Can I join? Got my bfp today. Trying to get my head around it - we were trying so hey what did I expect! DD1 is 18 months and due date is around Christmas Day. Although I only got to 36 weeks with DD1 so maybe a November baby?! I can feel my chest expanding as I type!

1988becki · 17/04/2017 21:12

Lixon · 17/04/2017 21:12

Welcome erog, mummyhenman and mamalovesviolet

Mrsbluebell17 · 17/04/2017 21:23

Will do glasto!
For those looking I just saw that Asda have an online baby event on!!!

TootsyBella84 · 17/04/2017 21:30

I have quite a few baby bits I've bought over the past few months now, I don't believe in jinxing it anymore and if we do get unlucky again I just figure that it will be used some time (at least I hope so anyway!)

MummyHenman2be · 17/04/2017 21:35

Thank you @Lixon !!

@1988becki congratulations to you too!! Close due dates Smile

I'm based in Cambridgeshire so pretty far away haha!

How are you feeling?

1988becki · 17/04/2017 21:42

@MummyHenman2be
I only have body aches, and my abdomin feels like I have been doing a lot of sit ups haha. I am really tired but don't have any sickness yet. How are you?
I am desperately trying to be patient and not book an early scan or do any shopping. I am looking forward to the next 8 months :) xxx

MummyHenman2be · 17/04/2017 22:02

@1988becki I'm very tired and my boobs are very sore! Woke up yesterday and they'd got worse so must be all the hormone!

Started getting this constantly needing to gag feeling yesterday and again this morning and again when I made hubbys cheese sandwich! So think the sickness is on its way.

We decided to do an early reassurance scan just to hopefully do away with all the worry after I've had some light brown spotting.

Wishing you a healthy and happy next 8 months :) xx

lovecreameggs · 18/04/2017 06:32

I'm still only getting 1-2 weeks showing on cbd and am apparently 5+4. I'm hoping I have my dates wrong as my period is irregular - month before was 26 days but before that was 33 - and it's only been back a few months because I've been breastfeeding.

Here's my cycle diary. The hearts are when me and dh did it (we weren't really ttc tbh, just seeing what happened, but I wanted to note it down!). Can anyone work out if I'm earlier than I think I am? I tested on day 1 of what it says was my new cycle and got a faint positive on a cb test, confirmed with a cbd and it's staying at 1-2 weeks on cbd since.

Oh and I was only tracking sex over the ovulation time and we were knackered so please don't judge GrinBlush

MaryShelley1818 · 18/04/2017 07:06

Lovecreameggs can you go for an early scan in a week or so to reassure yourself?
It's possible you could have ovulated late but if you weren't tracking it's impossible to know x

GnTea · 18/04/2017 07:06

Creme eggs don't worry. On the CB digital instructions it talks about the accuracy of the weeks indicator and how it can be inaccurate for different reasons. I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone is different. If it's positive then there's hcg and you're pregnant. That's all that matters.
I can't work out how to copy it on here but question 3 on the instruction leaflet covers it.

lovecreameggs · 18/04/2017 07:10

I'm literally about to fly off on holiday, so won't be able to even check in with the gp for 3 weeks. Im going or buy some more tests at the airport today and see how it goes I suppose. Currently I'm most stressed about having my period suddenly start on the flight AND having to deal with a toddler for several hours!

Beardy1 · 18/04/2017 07:32

Welcome to all the newbies.

tootsy I really admire how you are thinking about things. You've given me the motivation to start buying some baby stuff instead of avoidong it just in case. I'm definetly starting to enjoy being pregnant although I am so nauseous. I'm working from home today as we are having new windows and the idea of a load of work men in my house already makes me feel queasy. Could do a whole day in bed if it was feasible. Hope everyone's first day back at work goes ok.

lovecreameggs · 18/04/2017 07:39

I just started bleeding.

leighdinglady · 18/04/2017 07:42

Oh no creameeggs! Spotting or full on, like a period?
