Hello all :) so just found out I am pregnant again :) had an early miscarriage in January and fallen on again, which is amazing. I am very anxious this time around and don't want to get too excited, but can't help myself. I also found being on here last time was actually a great help when it was taken away from me as people are so kind and it helps to talk, so if it does happen again I am in the right place xx anyway happy times now :) eeeeeek. Anymore early Decembers.
If there is already a group tell me and I can join that. X

Welcome to this thread Grumpy!!! Great to see you on here too!

Christmas will be incredible for us all this year...!!! Oh, I just thought...when am I going to get all the prep done for DD! I'll have to be very organised! Starting my Christmas shopping now!!

MegsMog · 29/03/2017 10:06

Congrats grumpy!

I've just booked a scan for 8w. Fingers crossed...

Zaberwocky · 29/03/2017 10:14

... so I can't opt out of Christmas this year!? 😂 That was my cunning plan. I'm not bloody travelling four hours in the car with a depressed fanjo and a newborn to DP's parents for Christmas! I was hoping to cancel it. Grin

Christmas shopping has made me think about how badly I need summer clothes though Hmm hopefully bump accommodating ones...

TheGrumpySquirrel · 29/03/2017 10:27

I am gonna stay home for Christmas - family can come to us for controlled periods of time and DH can cook Grin

MegsMog · 29/03/2017 10:32

grumpy Ditto - I'm thinking cozy Christmas at home with blankets and a glass of red!

Chamonix1 · 29/03/2017 10:36

Mmmm wine Wine
I'm hiding for Xmas too, although dd will most certainly want to be around grandparents so they might have to come for a bit!

Zaberwocky · 29/03/2017 10:51

Ohhhhh! These all sound like lovely xmas's Grin

WeShouldOpenABar · 29/03/2017 11:00

Dh has big ideas for showing the newborn to the whole extended family on Christmas day Hmm

Chamonix1 · 29/03/2017 11:09

Weshould
That sounds painful. I feel for you.

HbH · 29/03/2017 11:19

Morning! Can i join! Got my BFP at the weekend... first timer! Due 1st/2nd Dec...

< settles in for the longest wait ever >

Chamonix1 · 29/03/2017 11:21

Hbh, congratulations!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 29/03/2017 11:23

Hi hb!!

ChocolateRaisin · 29/03/2017 12:13

Welcome HbH!

Lots of early scans here- I'm glad I'm not the only one! I have just booked an early scan for 7+5, so I have that date to hang on to now.

I'm just finding it all consuming at the moment, I need to calm down, I can't spend the rest of my pregnancy like this!! I don't think I have ever felt so anxious in my life, I'm not really sure what I can do to settle it down at the moment.

If all goes well Christmas will be good this year! I'm looking forwards to the Prosecco and palma ham already!

Babbu1 · 29/03/2017 15:49

hi all, I booked early scan too, 7+3, which happens to be Good Friday, let's hope it's good! She said there's a possibility of not seeing a heartbeat if earlier than 7, and also as we're definitely having one of the Nifty/harmony type tests at 10 weeks she said if do scan at 7+ weeks then can use the same image for the test, so saves £50 for having another scan, thought might be useful info for some of you if considering the same.
Also got the doctors on Monday to confirm (not that they actually do anything!) so it's starting to get real, told my first two friends today! Although I have running club tonight and my speed will be so slow that I'm sure some of them will wonder too! worst day for nausea so far, urgh.
My parents have booked in to go stay with my brother and his in laws at xmas (?!), they'll be gutted! @;-)

Millie2008 · 29/03/2017 21:53

Hi all! So pleased to find this thread - exactly what I was looking for :-) I found out for sure yesterday that I'm pregnant on a Clear Blue digital early test - only 14dpo today, so super early resulting in lots of anxiety. Period due today/tomorrow so hoping to feel a bit better by the weekend... This is my first so have no clue what I'm doing or what to expect, eek! SO SO excited and overjoyed after 6 months of ttc. But also scared to get my hopes up too much... I had a couple of symptoms around 9dpo that got me suspicious (sore slighter bigger boobs, a wave of nausea and a strange hankering for cheese!) and then yesterday was just feeling a bit sicky all day - but snacking seemed to help. Today absolutely exhausted and feel a bit like I'm coming down with something - I didn't want anyone with a cold at work to come near me!!
Anyhow, congrats to everyone for their BFP's :-)

NaturWilde · 30/03/2017 06:09

Huge congratulations Millie2008!!
So exciting! And hope you're feeling better soon...just wait for they second semester glow!

I'm 17dpo now and just tested agein with a Sainsbury's test. And wow - you can hardly see the control lines! The test line is so strong! When I think of this time last week when I got the faintest ever line on an IC!

First scan in 3 weeks, will start believing it all after that I think!

How's everyone this morning?Smile

Zaberwocky · 30/03/2017 06:41

Okay. Maybe I'm not as calm about tomorrow as I thought! I realised around ... 2:30am that I still need to tell work that I'm not in tomorrow morning. I just feel physically sick at the thought of that conversation! Like it makes the fact that there's a chance there could be a problem, be real. Sad And I feel like I should be honest, in case I don't want to go back to work after. Equally the nearest hospital we've been reffered to is an hour away... in good traffic. So it's not like I won't be gone at least three hours.

What's everyone else planning on telling work about early scan appointments? Honesty? Or an imaginary dentist appointment? X

Chamonix1 · 30/03/2017 06:44

Congratulations Millie! Smile

Natur- I did a test yesterday at 17dpo too, gone from having a squinter of s test to a nice bold line. Husband thinks I'm crazy!

I'm feeling nauseous this morning and hungry but don't want anything to eat.
Last night I cried over cheese.
So far so good...Wink

Chamonix1 · 30/03/2017 06:50

Zabe
I have recently left work so no employer to tell, but if I were in your position (I had a semi good relationship with my boss) I'd most certainly call this AM and tell them, at short notice I'm not sure a dentist appointment will be believable but it's totally up to you Flowers x

Chamonix1 · 30/03/2017 06:55

Sorry Zabe, just seen your scan tomorrow. Could probably say dentist appointment if you'd like, say you have just realised. But like you say, they won't be able to help out if you need more time off. Personally I'd tell them.
Fingers crossed for you CakeBrew

Zaberwocky · 30/03/2017 07:57

I think you're both right. Honesty is probably the way forward. I haven't been in this department long, so I'm don't really know anyone that well 😪 It's difficult. But I know I DO need to speak to my manager today. If only she had her own office and didn't sit in the same room as all of my colleagues! In any of my old jobs I wouldn't have hesitated at all. I almost want DH to all in for me!

Zaberwocky · 30/03/2017 07:59

Is anyone else at the lovely point where everything is making them feel sick 😂 ?

HbH · 30/03/2017 08:18

Some days zaber ! Just the thoughts of things.... DH said he had to clean out the green wheelie bin cos it smelt bad & just the thought made me retch! and just typing it out!

I'd be tempted with dentist appointment excuse this early on?? I'm self employed so hoping appointment politics is at a minimum!

Got a bit emotional about silly things last night too! It's so not me! Amazing how early on you can see changes!

Chamonix1 · 30/03/2017 08:19

Ask for a quick chat with your boss, somewhere private. Don't feel you have to announce it in front of everyone!

Not at the stage of feeling sick constantly, yet. Just a bit of nausea in the morning.

What supplements are people taking? I've got my folic acid and vit d, but I'm concerned my vit d supplement is too much, 1000iu/25ug/25mcg. Apparently you're only meant to take 10 mcg during pregnancy. Best go hunt for some less potent tablets.

Hope everyone's okay today Smile

Lindorballs · 30/03/2017 08:53

Can I join? Got BFP on Monday. Struggling to work out exact due date as my periods have been a bit out of whack since I came off the pill but I think it's 3rd Dec. This will be my second. I've got a DD who will be just 4 by the time this one comes.
