Hello all :) so just found out I am pregnant again :) had an early miscarriage in January and fallen on again, which is amazing. I am very anxious this time around and don't want to get too excited, but can't help myself. I also found being on here last time was actually a great help when it was taken away from me as people are so kind and it helps to talk, so if it does happen again I am in the right place xx anyway happy times now :) eeeeeek. Anymore early Decembers.
If there is already a group tell me and I can join that. X

Sami Shock

I was quite happily ignoring the fact that my mother, her mothers mother, and two sets of cousins are all twins in my family until you mentioned that. IT WILL NOT BE ME! I cannot cope with twins!

You are quite right though Grin someone on here most probably will have twins! And with all the early scans the sooner we'll hopefully all know ...

looby1304 · 11/04/2017 07:17

bluebell I'm waking up stupidly early and not getting back to sleep too, this morning it was 3.20am, day before 4am, day before that 4.30am, you get the picture! I tend to doze off for a bit again but am always awake by half 6. Don't think this is helping with the exhaustion! Luckily I'm not at work at the moment (school hoorays), I just hope it settles down before term starts again!

BirdBrain85 · 11/04/2017 07:25

The waking up is super annoying, especially as I went to bed early so I wouldn't be tired! But I only have to get through today and then I have a week off - phew!

I'm 99% certain the twins won't be from me as my fertility treatment was all natural, no drugs involved at all. One of my great grandmothers had twins, but I hear they skip a generation so I should be safe haha.

BirdBrain85 · 11/04/2017 07:28

I should add that I would love twins but my bank balance would not Grin

glastogal · 11/04/2017 07:48

Pretty sure I'm not having twins, I had a single embryo returned and have seen no evidence of particularly high hcg.. my dp keeps saying how he would love twins (or more 😱) but he's just trying to wind me up!! Will know for sure a week tomorrow 😆

I was awake just after 4am.. managed to get back to sleep after about 30 mins though. I did catch up on here but was too drowsy to formulate a message 😴

TootsyBella84 · 11/04/2017 07:51

I am 4+3 today and I'm not imagining it all. Clearblue tells me so!

No bloat here yet although it's still early. I'm making the most of looking normal and feeling okay before everything hits probably around the 6 weeks mark!

My dh would freak if I was pregnant with twins Shock as lovely as it would be, going from 2 to 4 sounds too scary and like Bird I don't think the bank balance would like it too much!

I'm 4+5 today and I'm suffering from constipation too. I'm drinking gallons of water to just attempt to get something moving. Gross!!

Dh and I are slightly nervous too as I come from a strong line of twins. My dad is a twin and had siblings that's were twins but unfortunately they passed away early. Pretty much every relative up my dads line has had 1 or 2 sets of twins. My sisters joke all the time that it'll be me. Im definetly not ready to have twins. Eek!!!

glastogal · 11/04/2017 08:02

Aw tootsy - it's lovely to see the words on the clear blue digital, isn't it?!

Beardy - constipation here too! I have suffered with this for years though, so pregnancy is just enhancing something I battle with every day. Normally I control it with diet but that is much harder in the past couple of weeks!

Chamonix1 · 11/04/2017 08:03

Morning everyone.
Glad to see theirs a few potentials for twins and that statistically that'll rule me out! Grin
I still have no symptoms. I'm just exhausted. Oh and poas (one step) y-day and lime still strong so taking that as my symptom !!
Out for lunch today wth friends- luckily they're the ones who already know so won't need to ask for elderflower in a wine glass!

Chamonix1 · 11/04/2017 08:03

There's *
Poor grammar also one of my symptoms

tuxie11 · 11/04/2017 08:26

Another one here for the early wake ups ☝🏻I'm usually someone who can sleep for England but seem to be unable to sleep!
I don't seem to have any symptoms (apart from the fact I can't tie two brain cells together) but physically feel fine Hmm wondering if something will hit me like a brick!

So glad there are those of you wanting twins, I don't think I could deal - like cham hoping the stats and family history will rule me out too!

Sun is shining, happy tuesday everyone

Beardy1 · 11/04/2017 08:29

Oh no glastogal constipation is awful. My pregnant friend ended up hospitalised thinking she was going into early labour from the pain of constipation. Scary stuff. The body is so weird pregnant. I'm going to drink gallons and eat loads of beetroot as that helps too. I'll let you know how I get on.

Lixon · 11/04/2017 09:21

Glad it's not just me with insomnia, I'm exhausted!! husband woke me at 3am and then I couldn't sleep again til 6.30. I'm hoping if I make it to the second trimester this time it disappears, my work definitely suffers..

I saw my gp yesterday and she was amazing, given my history called EGU to book me in for an early scan on April 25th right there, gave me the thyroid blood form and did all my booking forms (we can't go to midwives directly here but process seems to work ok). It always amazes me how much this differs from area to area..

Angielka · 11/04/2017 09:24

Just threw up at work Confused getting harder and harder not to tell anyone. Roll on Friday and my first scan. Totally missed the bit up thread about ages- I'm 36 and this will be number 3 and definitely the last Grin

goldielocks29 · 11/04/2017 09:28

Another one here with insomnia and waking up stupidly early!

Was looking forward to having some Easter holiday lie ins....but my body has other ideas!
Generally awake for an hour or so in the early hours and then as soon as 6am rolls around BOOM I'm awake!
You'd think I'd have been able to get my housework done....but no, of procrastination and tea drinking was an Olympic sport, I'd be a shoe in for gold!

amazingrobot · 11/04/2017 10:10

Morning everyone. I have no symptoms - bit of gas and bloating I suppose. I'm jealous of those who are confident of holding babies in Dec. At 38 and with intermittent spotting I'm just not so sure Sad.

Dh being very sweet although has grave reservations about a 4th - mostly the impact on the others (diluting our time). I feel this is my last chance - don't think he would go for it again if this one fails. I haven't contacted my gp yet... don't feel ready. May try and get a 7 week scan at epu if I get that far, due to spotting. Tempted to take my last digi today. I'm 18 dpo. If it doesn't show 2-3 I think I'm out. Frer lines have been textbook darkening so fingers crossed.

Annie1290 · 11/04/2017 11:00

TootsyBella84 cham amazing I also don't really have any symptoms. Every now and again I feel a bit weird, almost dizzy, and a bit of bloating and backache but would get the bloating and backache just before AF so still feeling very unreal...hence the 5th (7th) Hmm oh test this morning. Think it's getting darker/clearer but not enough for my piece of mind. Just wishing the days away til I can have a scan.

BirdBrain85 · 11/04/2017 11:20

I'm the same to be honest, especially this week I feel pretty normal - just more tired and sore boobs. Annie I also felt dizzy a few times but thought it was too early for all that!? Who knows!

Amazing darkening lines are a great sign so don't give up just yet! And spotting can be totally normal. Keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

Marie90 · 11/04/2017 13:10

Angelika sorry to hear you threw up at work!! How did you cover that up? How many weeks are you?

And random question but i read somewhere you can't eat chorizo in the first trimester... Would it be ok if it's cooked into a dish?? Already turning into a neurotic who Google's everything 🙈

Marie90 · 11/04/2017 13:27

Just had my midwife ring and book me in for my first appointment on 2nd May!!!

Ahhhhhhhh it's all suddenly so real!!

Shock
Beardy1 · 11/04/2017 13:38

marie I've eaten chorizo but just made sure it was cooked. No problem here. Exciting about your midwife appt. mines on the 26th of April!!

Lixon · 11/04/2017 13:39

Sorry to hear about the spotting anazingrobot, I hope all goes well with the digi if you do go ahead but bear in mind that FMU is recommended for more accurate dating I think. I definitely don't feel at all certain but sounds like you have lots of added pressure with the dh situation. I hope he gets his head round it sooner and that the spotting clears.

Sorry to hear about the sickness Angelika. I hope you can cover it up if you're not comfortable disclosing yet.

I'm almost 31 in response to the age question but husband is 47 which puts the pressure on a bit more for things to start working out soon. He's already exhausted by life!

tuxie11 · 11/04/2017 13:45

I had a call from the midwife too- 27th April which seems so far! She wasn't too concerned on my date situation so I'm hoping I'm 5+6 instead of 10+6 as by the time it rolls around I'll be either 8 or 13 Shock

looby1304 · 11/04/2017 13:50

marie I understood that cooked chorizo is fine, you just have to be careful with cured meats that you aren't cooking because of toxoplasmosis.
beardy your midwife appt is the same day as mine! It seems to be taking forever to come, which is annoying but nice in another way because normally school holidays fly by!

amazingrobot · 11/04/2017 13:58

Thanks lixon. I am going to leave it for a while. It has screwed with me before and I couldn't bear to get an inaccurate reading. I've finally called the midwives.
